Very friendly staff. We felt very safe inside the restaurant. They had every socially distanced and safe. Food was delicious. Prices were what we expected for the great service and food. Would definitely visit again.

I had the seafood dish with shrimp, Scallops and fish, it was amazing! The key lime pie was almost like a cheese cake, I love cheese cake!

Went for brunch on Mother's day. Had the Huevos Rancheros with a bloody mary. Most I'd the dish was good, but Avocado was unripe and hard. Will need to return for dinner sometime. Very cool atmosphere inside.

Wonderful food, great wine, and an awesome waiter. This place is luxurious, slightly expensive.

Atlantic haddock was super fresh and prepared well. Service and open deck dining complete a great meal!

Great atmosphere, relaxing. Great oysters and lobster roll. Staff is very pleasant and helpful.

The Oar House was amazing. Our bartender was friendly and attentive even though he had a full bar. The food was definitely worth the money, though it wasn't cheap. I would recommend this place without a doubt! Full bang for your buck!

Food was delicious and the atmosphere warm.
However the customer service was lacking. Although we came for dinner quite early and the restaurant was lightly filled., we were issued a tiny 2 person wall table that was in a heavy server traffic pattern. When we asked for a 4 person table, we were declined. The 4 person tables were never used while we were there. Policy over people is not becoming customer service.

Went here for New Years Eve Dinner tonight. Loved it! John our waiter couldnt have been better or funnier. The food was to die for as was the service. My family is fussy and there was an unexpected food allergy. John handled it with ease. It was so pretty and cozy. Cant wait to go back. Hated to leave. Cant recommend it enough. Its a hidden gem.

We had a fabulous lunch here in April. The staff was very friendly and helpful not only with food choices, but with directions for us out-of-towners. The food was excellent! I had the best gluten-free bread (toast) on a very tasty chicken salad sandwich. We loved the old buiding and appreciated the staff sharing some of its history. Wish we lived nearby so I could indulge often. Would love to go back.

Had lunch with 4 other friends...those that had haddock sandwich or fish and chips were disappointed because the fish was overcooked....other diners had a burger, crab salad and baked haddock.....all were very good to excellent...Our waiter was excellent, John,I believe his name was...We will go back but will avoid the overfried fish...great view as well.....

Excellent Valentine's date. Brick chicken, crispy potatoes and garlic spinach was possibly the best chicken dish I've ever had, 5/5. Wife's Lobster Mac and Cheese pretty tasty too, I'd give it a 4/5. WARM tasty rolls to start. While there was a moderate upsell of alcohol (this is typical of all restaurants), no major push to have dessert. Waiter was prompt, and the whole team seemed casual and helpful. Thanks to offering Limelight deals, total meal was $50 (counting dinner, tax, tip and limelight)! Otherwise a bit pricy for my tastes, nothing unreasonable though. We'll definitely be back next Limelight deal!

First let's start with the atmosphere, quaint, rustic, Dave our server/bartender was amazing, he made suggestions, service was great, now the food--amazing!!!! We had the best night, music was phenomenal. We loved it here, we will be returning!!

The waitress was great, that is all that was great about the Oar House. Steak on my soggy salad was loaded with fat. One other meal, Fish & Chips practically went untouched. Itsy bitsy cup of chowder good but not worth $9. Then the deal buster was the bill - a tiny child's cheese pizza cost $12!!!
First and last time we will visiting the Oar House........

Absolutely beautiful meal in a beautiful setting on Thursday night. Was staying in Hampton beach and the hotel recommended to take a drive to Portsmouth. Came across the Oar House after a little walk and was a great find. Our waiter was fantastic, the food was incredible and the Irish coffee to finish the meal off sent me on my merry way nicely. Thanks again

Amazing staff, food & location, free parking bonus! Our server Carly was simply the best server we have ever had! Party of 8 mind you. She was so attentive, practically read our minds. She took time know our names. Great meal after my half marathon that morning.

Sat at the bar with my fiance for our first trip to Pensacola, had an amazing time, we enjoyed our meal/drinks and had an awesome waitress. Good prices definitely would recommend.

The waitress was friendly. The food was overpriced for the quality. I guess you pay for the view. I won't go back for a meal, but would consider drinks

The escargots were so good and the Bouillabaisse was to die for. Excellent atmosphere, service and I would definitely go back.

The Grilled Romaine salad is to die for. We were a party of 4 with an infant and everyone of enjoyed their food! Will definitely be back soon.
Mark Ames
Very overpriced, food was not good. Mine was over cooked and girlfriends dish bore little resemblance to what was ordered. She basically ended up with a low quality seafood pie which made her feel sick an hour later

Food was excellent. Atmosphere wasn't bad, it was fairly dead when we got there at 6pm so we felt like we had to whisper, but it filled up by 6:30-45. It was a little on the chilly side in the building. The baked stuffed lobster had shrimp and scallops on it - bonus! The stuffing could have been less carrot and more seafood taste to my liking, but the meat was moist, which is hard for baked stuffed. Fillets were cooked to perfection. Calamari app and the little necks were also perfect. Waiter "John" was lively and a very good waiter to us. We'll go back for sure.

A visit to the Oar House without a desert of Ray’s ‘Jameson Cake’ is like a day without sunshine! Ray, you da man when it comes to baking!

Second time we've eaten on the deck in a month. The Oar House Delight (broiled shrimp, scallops and haddock in a sherried lobster sauce) was superb, as was the filet mignon. Bourbon manhattan was good, too!
