Fore Street is an EXPERIENCE! It provides elevated food from land, air and sea. There is something for everyone. Their food and dining experience was well worth the wait. When I told my coworker I was visiting Portland for the first time they told me I needed to make sure to visit Fore Street. Per their instructions I went online the same day to make reservations and saw that they were full. The website suggests walk-ins are able to be accommodated starting 5pm. Luck
We started with the wood-oven squid which was amazing- the taste was absolutely delicious. I ordered the pan-seared scallops which were a little too crispy for me. My husband ordered the pork loin which was a little dry but overall enjoyable.
What a wonderful and beautiful space this is. Our server was so attentive and sweet and she recommended some great options for us to try. Overall the flavors were intense and it was a truly amazing albeit priceyish meal. The stand out dishes for me was the Hanger Steak and Lamb Ragu.
Amazing experience at the Fore Street Restaurant. Great selection of whiskeys, scotch and beer. Service was excellent and their wood fired chicken is probably the best chicken I've had in my life! I would make the trip up to Portland just for that chicken! Cannot go wrong with their seafood as well,
