Easily one of the best places in the food heaven of Portland. Amazing ramen and appetizers. A constantly rotating craft beer list that is one of the best in a city known for beer as much as food. Great, friendly staff. Not a large place, so don't be surprised if there's a wait, but it's worth it. Also, they'll text you when your table is ready so you can go next door and have a beer while you wait.
Worth the 2.5 hour drive from Boston love this place!!! the staff is even better then food great job hands down one of if not the best in Portland
The tonkotsu ramen special was exceptional. The ramen on the regular menu is really good but this was a step above. As usual the beer selection was excellent and included local beers as well as unique imports. I didn't have the pork buns on this visit but they are a real treat that I highly recommend. I will be back soon!
Love the atmosphere and everything we tried was spot on: hamayaki, a tuna roll and 2 kinds of donburi. Unique and tasty cocktails and a great beer list to boot.
We stopped here twice for lunch during our Maine Trip!! So good!! The pork dumplings are the best I have ever had! Delicious food and highly recommend!! A must for your Maine trip!
Always one of my favorite places for lunch ! Brought a friend whom had never been and she loved it as well . Usually order from the menu that you choose 2 items from, but the Brussels sprouts are to die for from the appetizers!
Good food. Updated their broth recently and it’s much better. Lived in Tokyo and Yokohama for 5 years and one of the foods I miss most is awesome Ramen. This place fills that craving for it. Plus it has a cool and fun vibe.
The food here is always on point. They also have a good selection of summer beers to go with your meals. We are always pleased with the food and service. We'll be back!
My boyfriend and I made a special trip to Portland just to try this ramen. It was amazing and totally worth the hour drive!! The pork dumplings were the best I have ever had and the pork buns were to die for! We can't wait to go back! Friendly service, inviting atmosphere and amazing food!
Everything was absolutely delicious! Staff was friendly and efficient. If you’re looking for noodles this is THE place. Sushi was also very tasty and the pork buns were out of this world.
Service was great. Outstanding beer selection. Everything we ate was delicious. I will certainly be back!
Best brussel sprouts in town! Honey pot also highly recommended.
I purposely look for reasons to go to Portland just so I can get myself a pork bun and the miso ramen. I recommend it to everyone that I possibly can.
A must when you visit Portland. Delicious noodles, veggies and sushi in a funky atmosphere in the of downtown. I love the crispy, salty Brussels sprouts and the huge house salad with lots of vegetables (including broccoli and cauliflower) and their incredible sesame dressing. The portions come in huge bowls and there's a full service bar.
Beautiful downtown location in downtown Portland, ME. Wonderful atmosphere and staff. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and took the time.to review our choices as well as make recommendations based on our previous dining experiences.
The pork buns are a must have! If you're a fan of ramen you'll be happy with almost anything on the menu and if you're not sure the staff is more than happy to walk you through the menu.
They also accommodated wanting to taste several drink options prior to making a final decision for the evening. Come in with an empty stomach and try sever small plates as well. Overall wonderful experience 5 out or 5.
Great Japanese Ramen in Portland Maine.
I had the duck special seasonal ramen. Very good but lacked an egg in my opinion. The bao buns deliver and reason for 5 star rating. Karage chicken was fabulous. The flavor was great even though the crunch was a bit non traditional. Great atmosphere, great staff. Don't miss out on this place if you want good Japanese food in Portland.
Never had the lobster bun before in any ramen restaurants I've been to and it's quite the experience and it's very good. The pork bun I also enjoyed. Everything here is so good. My wife decided to get their signature ramen and their don so we can share and they're both very good.
Small place, stellar service and wonderful Asian food. Not very spicy though if you like spicy ramen. Worth going out of your way for if you're craving good quality ramen, especially.
The good: the above. Prices are not cheap but better than expected for a downtown area.
The meh: none.
The bad: none.
Really good tonkatsu ramen..nice chew on the noodles and broth was good.
Crab maki was good.
Lobster bao was a bit overrated...too much truffle oil so you can't taste the lobster but lobster was cooked well.
We tried their ramen, lobster bao, lobster maki. They were all delicious but lobster bao has a bit too much of truffle oil over powering the lobster taste. Our server was very helpful. I t was very positive experience.
Great place with delicious food. Will was out waiter and he was super friendly. The yuzu lemonade is yummy, a little sour but I like that. Nikuman buns are sweet and salty! Highly recommend the paitan as well. The broth is perfect. I recommend you ask for a side of spicy garlic paste to go with your meal.
