Hidden gem in New England. The same quality of food would have cost you $300+ in New York. Definitely worth a trip. Their steak is cooked perfectly. Other appetizers are also quite decent. Definitely check this place out if you end up in Portland Maine.

Very clean and chic restaurant attached to a hotel but not readily noticeable.
Food was good but needed lots of salt. ?Corn beef plate was super bland, boring and tasteless. Service was nice but few orders were missed and had to ask to have them delivered. The greens smoothie was very good but a bit sweeter than I personally prefer.
Overall not a bad experience but the food didn't have a wow factor like I had hoped.

The restaurant itself has a great ambience, it’s a really nice vibe to dine in. Dishes are presented beautifully. However the food lacked taste and wasn’t anything special. We did enjoy the detox smoothie.

I visited UNION 3 times in one week. Why? Because above everything else the food is amazing, unique and high quality. Every dish surprised me... in a good way. The service is on par with what you would expect at this price point and the interior design complimented the ambiance of the hotel very well. Definitely set the bar high for my Portland culinary experiences.

The service and food is always exquisite, and they often have a vegan entree option on their menu (call ahead as the menu changes seasonally). We love going when the menu changes and there’s a new plant based meal to try.

Booked dinner here for my bestie’s bachelorette and it was perfect! Staff was friendly and attentive, ambiance felt “special occasion” but not stuffy or pretentious. All of the food was absolutely delicious and everyone left happy and full. Highly recommend!

The staff are very friendly. We ended up waiting a little while for our drinks and our table was not ready at the time of our reservation but the staff made us comfortable and made sure our food was out quickly.
The food itself was good, nothing spectacular but a tasty brunch nonetheless. The pork belly was more fatty than meaty, which wasn't great to get a big bite of fat in the morning. The benedict was cooked perfectly and the lobster eggs benedict was very good!
The politeness of the staff certainly brings the star count up a bit.

Atmosphere was very chic. I love anywhere that’s got plants all over. Service was rather slow.. we waited 45 minutes for our food, but the wait was worth it! Aside from the very eye catching presentation, the food was delicious! The mushroom toast was incredible and was my favorite. Will have to come back and try their dinner menu.

Stopped in to try the new appetizer and drink special menu...and wow! A crab roll (as in not lobster, and totally fabulous), sliders, charred octopus, sangria, beer. Delicious, affordable and such a great spot to perch and watch, by great staff. I can't wait to go back!

We had Sam as a server and she was excellent! She made some excellent suggestions. The atmosphere was elegant and the menu had a good variety. I was surprised how generous the small plates were, but I was disappointed in the entree size. It's a good thing we got small plates before our entree or we would have been stopping on the way home for a snack. Otherwise my wife and I were very happy with the entire package.

Chef was such a pleasant part of the dinner - explaining each course without being pretentious. Really a terrific experience for a great cause. We will definitely be back!

Four of us ate there. Each one of the four entrées that we had where way oversalted. When we mentioned it to the wait staff person they never offered to do anything about it and we didn't eat the entrées because they were so horrible. There are way too many great restaurants in Portland Maine don't waste your time on this one and it's overpriced

My husband and I went here on Saturday around noon. We sat at the bar and were greeted promptly Buy a pleasant female bartender. We had mimosas, which were excellent. I got the avocado toast which was amazing! My husband had eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. He said it was very good as well. We also had bloody mary‘s which were great as well! Very cool atmosphere, service was outstanding and the food was perfect! We will definitely be returning!
