The Cheese Plate Pdx

This tiny but well stocked food cart offers the best that cheese has to offer, in the form of top quality mac & cheese, grilled cheese, cheese by the pound, and accompaniments like jam and house made crackers (not to mention books!). They offer local, Oregon made cheeses by the pound (the herbed cheddar is a favorite), as well as a surprisingly extensive array of vegan cheeses. The service is delightful and there is a small porchlike area for sitting/standing if you want to be separate from the communal food cart seating.

Very good Mac and Cheese. Also I have tried crackers and a cilantro pesto there that was very tasty. The crackers look hand made and taste divine. Not all crackers are equal. I haven't tried the cheese plate, but I saw a couple eating one and they looked good. There is a beer cart in the same group so there is alcohol options. A little bit pricey for some items considering it is a cart but less expensive then a restaurant equivalent.

This cart makes the very best gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches I've ever had, with local cheeses and other goodies that are in season. I've seen asparagus, roasted beets, pickled eggs, and whisky caramel sauce on their sammies. Everything I've ever had was amazing, and inspired me to get a little creative with my own cooking!
