Ordered the crab Rangoon and the curry pastries as appetizers and it was so delicious. Had one chicken pad Thai between two, and by the time we were done with the appetizers it was the perfect amount. Less than 30 dollars and super delicious.

We tried this place and enjoyed our meal. The fresh rolls, Panang curry, Khao Soi and Pad Woon Sen were all very good. The chicken sate was overcooked and a bit tough. Servings are generous and I had leftovers for a lunch and a dinner.

Best Thai food in town. Very delicious food and very good customer service. Definitely recommend. Just know that their food is spicy, more than any other places that you might tried. So maybe asking mild spice is better!

Lucky me, I found the absolute BEST THAI in Portland! They have an extensive menu that has a good variety of Traditional Thai and a few dishes with a modern twist. All of the prices are very affordable, with appetizers ranging $4 to $7 and dishes ranging $8 to $12. The restaurant is small, but beautifully simple yet elegant. Great for a date night, if you want to sit up at the bar solo or take out. We split some Potstickers and Crab Rangoon for an appetizer. I had the Yellow Curry with tofu ( I always have to try a curry dish before moving on to the other dishes) and it was perfect! Be warned, the other yelp reviews are correct in that their spice levels are traditional and super spicy. I am usual an extra spicy, 5 star kind of gal, and the medium spicy had me sweating. Delicious! Glad to have found this gem in my neighborhood and will be back frequently!

I called to place a takeout order of khao soi with tofu, spicy. I picked it up after about 20 minutes as they said, and it was ready for me. I paid $12.50 for it and went my way home to eat it! I dumped some spinach at the bottom of my bowl since there were no veggies, and then I poured the soup with tofu into the bowl. I was very surprised at the amount of tofu! They did not skimp at all, wow. I then put the noodles in, and although they were a bit stuck, they were fine after I mixed the soup in. The noodles were chewy and long, and the curry flavor in the soup was amazing. It was strong and delicious, and it was actually spicy. I really enjoyed the meal. I also really appreciated how they separated the soup and the noodles so the noodles didn't get soggy. It was absolutely awesome, would definitely recommend it! Great prices too for the amount of food.

Hands down my favorite ma and pa Thai food shop. Prices are so reasonable, portions are large, and the food is so tasty! Their noodle dishes are the stand out here - the pad kee Mao is spicy, but so delicious - they can’t make it less spicy cause I think the chili is built into the sauce. Definitely recommend this place for any of their noodle dishes.

We got takeout from Kala and enjoyed it so much! The chefs and staff were very friendly and helpful when we ordered and picked it up. We got the Pad Kee Mow, Spicy Eggplant, Crispy Spring Rolls, and our new favorite, the Evil Jungle Rice! All of them were so tasty, and we especially enjoyed the Evil Jungle Rice for its unique flavor (lemongrass/ginger we think). Can't wait to get food here again!

Got there at 8:30 on a Thursday night. Some tables were filled but they were very quick with the service. We ordered Pad Thai to go and it was still hot, and very delicious, when we got back to our hotel down in Wilsonville. The price, the service, and the amazing food will all bring us back the next time we are going through or near Portland. Wish we lived closer to a great Pad Thai place like this.

WORLDS BEST THAI...and I travel so, that’s saying something! We moved out of Portland and we crave the chicken wings!! Plus their entrees are always fresh and fabulous! The owners are delightful and we miss them so much! Eat here...there are other great Thai restaurants in and around SE...tried each one, now I only go to Kala!

Excellent little Thai place. The crispy pork and Chinese broccoli was awesome and the appetizer with the crispy rice cake and shrimp/curry/peanut paste was insanely addictive. Also tried the stir fry beef and macadamia which was really good too. Def recommend and not too expensive.

Kala Noodle & Grill - great environment, great food, and great service. I ordered the mango curry & it was the best one I have ever had. I would probably rate the spice medium-high (I thought it was a good amount)

This place is damn good. Probably favorite Thai on Belmont (yes even Pad Thai Kitchen). They aren't afraid of spice, their curries have a depth of spice that gives it a hint of Indian food almost, their drunken noodles are the bomb. Overall, really great Thai place that's almost always empty unfortunately

I am a thai food fan. This place is good. Spicy wings were awesome. Phad thai is my go to and it was in my top 3. My friend stated that he has eaten here a few times. Each meal has been enjoyable, he shared. Price is very reasonable. The lunch portion seemed large too. I left full, satisfied, and happy.

Just a 5 minute walk from the house so we decided to try it. The atmosphere inside and out is basic, nothing flashy. We both had a curry dish that was really spicy, but absolutely delicious! We will be back.

The best Thai food I’ve had. Only Thai cuisine I’ve ever had where the spiciest dish meant spicy. Every other place, 5 stars spicy level means 1.5-2 stars. Will definitely go back!

I've gotten take-out here several times, and though I've never actually sat down for dinner here, I can say this: the ambiance is always chill, lighting is flattering, and I'd expect it'd make a wonderful date night. The food is underpriced (probably because they're not all that popular), authentic, and delicious. Plus it's open until 11pm which personally I find very convenient. Go for it.
