I saw an open mic here. The employees are kind, and the vibes of the space are so fire. They also allow minors, which means that people like me who aren't quite 21 yet (at the time of writing this review) can still attend.
The bathrooms are also super cool, with ethical graffiti. Only giving 4/5 stars because they don't have coffee, their selection of non-alcoholic drinks could be larger. (Especially for a place that allows minors).
Overall- would recommend.
The Waypost is amazing. We played a show there this week and Tony was awesome to us. Bar itself had a great aesthetic, whiskey Wednesday was happening and we took full advantage. Southwestern vibe created a great atmosphere. It was a blast! Really couldn't be more pleased with the experience.
After going multiple times I would have to say I really dig this place. Super Cool vibe. Nice atmosphere. Good food and strong drinks. Even the karaoke is on top of it
Only been here twice, but have been very impressed. Small menu has 3 yummy tacos, quesadilla & nachos, with meat & veggie options. Their speciality is their house-infused liquors. I seriously can't get enough of the habenero lime tequila!! It is so damn good. The patio outside is beyond adorable, with rickety wooden tables and a wild, beautiful garden with a pathway through it (good for keeping the kiddos entertained while you enjoy your drink). Today when I came, the bartender Brian was so friendly and accommodating, I just had to hang out for another drink!
This is another case of not letting ex’s ruin great bars… and this won’t be the last time I say it! The staff is super friendly, the drinks are great (thanks for not judging my iced red wine) and the atmosphere is romantically artistic, and pleasantly casual. There always seems to be some sort of event or show going on which means great people watching and and an easy out in case your date sucks… you’ll be able to sneak out easily. Just pay your bill first!
Awesome local joint with good live music, food and vibes. The regulars are fun to chat with.....tons of great stories.
Great live music and cheap drinks! Also live music now and then. I highly recommend checking out the band Wet Weekend when they play here! The place isn't much to look at, but they have a wonderful staff. Also provides outdoor seating if interested.
Tacos, margaritas, service, and vibe were all great. The main bartender was also awesome! One of the few places we went to in the area that was patient when we weren't sure what to order right away.
Super fun North Portland bar. Easy going staff great drinks.
Pretty empty on a Sunday evening but loved the overall vibe of the bar. The bartender was exceptionally good and provided some great drink recommendations too. Highly recommend!
One of the best spots I have been to in a while. From the awesome bartender to the what I thought was just a really chill customer turning out to be the owner and the live music that was phenomenal. The vibe is on at The Waypost. I highly recommend stopping in and checking out this awesome little bar
I love it here. The drinks and food are always good. I am often brought here by live music events. I don't live in the neighborhood but I'll happily drive across town to see a band play here.
Important tip for music fans: get here early if you actually want to see the band. The sound set up and music part of this bar is great, but there isn't a stage. If you're not upfront, you're mostly staring at people's heads.
I believe all the music here is a suggested donation (every time I've been it has been this way) which allows for many people to come in and drink and not pay to hear the music but still hear the music. Seems like a bad deal for the artists but I can't say for sure. Don't forget to bring cash for the artist when you come.
Somewhat smaller music venue with a good bar and food options. I played here as a musician and we had a great experience. The sound guy was attentive and knowledgeable and we loved the intimate feel of the stage and surrounding tables. Fun cocktails and they boast a CBD beer!
It can get a little warm on hot days but the spot is pretty rad and the guys working we're all friendly. $6 drafts and cans were $4 I think for an IPA and something else. Their tacos looked awesome but they'll have to wait for my next visit.
Step into the longest running bar on N Williams Ave and enjoy the chill vibe and great drinks. There’s also a great garden where you can drink and eat. Hoping music comes back too.
Loved the vibe here! It's dark and cozy, and not overcrowded during the week so we were able to grab a drink and catch up with friends. There's a vending machine with vintage goodies you didn't think you needed until you saw it, makes for a very neat attraction.
This is a chill bar. Don't expect anything too fancy besides their tacos & margaritas (which are good.) A good place to become a regular of or relax after a day at work. Also definitely check out the open mic night Sunday evenings for a nice way to ease into the week.
