Came here for lunch before heading back to Seattle.
The food was not very authentic but more tailored to the locals. The dim sum menu looked tempting maybe I should have gone for that instead of General Tao’s chicken.
I also ordered wanton soup but that was a big disappointment as the soup was clear as water and very salty!
The service was great and the place overall was nice and clean. There were plenty of seats and the service was relatively quick.
Overall I think this place is not for you if you are looking for more authentic Chinese food. However, it beats Panda Express by a mile.

Always satisfied with the food every time we come to this restaurant. We have been coming to this restaurant for many years and the quality of the food is always consistent. Very delicious. The service is excellent. I recommend this place for those who are craving for good dimsum.

The food is absolutely average. You won't write home about but you wouldn't push it away either. Service was extremely faster, attentive and friendly. I ordering Kong Pow Chicken & Shrimp -- extra hot, it had a nice low sustained heat in the mouth but if you like hot food you might need to ask them for extra extra hot.

Wonderful experience. I had dim sum, and I took the server's recommendations since I was dining alone and I had never had dim sum before. She suggested great things. I didn't order too much food - just enough - and it all tasted excellent. I especially liked the taro root dish (sorry, I do not remember what it was called). Also, the tea that was served with the meal was excellent! Thank you for a great meal!

Good food, but service can be improved. Sesame chicken didn’t had any sauce on it. May be different variety. My boy didn’t like it without sauce in it.

The food was super good! We ordered crab puffs and pot stickers as appetizers. I enjoyed them a lot. The restaurant is really quiet and peaceful. They didn't have a lot going on when we came in. I had a number 4 combination plate to try more food. Everything was delicious. I enjoyed the egg flower soup as well!

I ordered the chicken and vegetables in a Tangy sauce to go. It came with white rice on the side. I ordered mine extra spicy and it is delicious!

Dim sum prices high, small portions since the last time i was here.

Just like the great food and prices of the last 20 years, they have the freshest food, lots of menu choices with combos and prices that will save your budget. Go ahead, go out, this would be a fantastic choice. You will leave happy, full and money left in your pocket. If we only had 1 choice to eat out every week, this would be it!

This is one of my favorite spots. The food is consistently good with nice staff. It is decent food.
It is cafe style food. Nothing fancy but takes care of my craving when I have one.
My order is #6 combination with sauce on the side.
The fried food tastes like the oil is fresh. Large portions. Prices are fair. I’ve been coming here for years now.

I've been eating at Good World since they first opened in the old First Interstate Bank on Sandy Blvd between 106 and 107th next to Parkrose Hardware. I like the full menu and that you can tell them how you like your food prepared, so you can get it as spicy or mild as you desire on all the dishes. All the food here except a couple fish dishes are scratch made to order and look snd taste very good MOST of the time The ambiance is like most quick turnover no frills dining experiences. The size of the portions is still reasonable, and the food quality is still very good. It used to be great, authentic Chinese food. But with changes in cooks the food quality and portion sizes have both diminished a bit over time.
The service is passable; they could stand improvement with attentiveness and fixing mistakes when an order comes out wrong, which isn't often; but when it is, they don't hustle and strive to make it right.
I like to start with egg flower soup or hot and sour soup, both are good choices here. I also like their spring rolls and the variety of sauces they have for dipping. This is not known as a Dim Sum restaurant, buy there is authentic dim sum service with a good selection of items, but higher than average prices at Good World.
My favorite dishes at Good World are Mongolian Beef and Broccoli with Beef, both are excellent. The sweet and sour chicken or pork are also usually very good. Cashew Chicken is good but nothing special. General Tsao's Chicken is very good, perfectly spiced. They have a full bar but don't expect to get anything exotic or that requires a good mixologist.
They do have Oregon Lottery in the bar if you are into slots while you waut or after dinner. There is a good full size pool table if you enjoy billiards. The bartender doubles as wait staff in the restaurant so you may have to wait fir service. Prices are competitive with other Chinese restaurants in the area e.g., the Ambassador.
There is ample parking for dinner, but not always at lunch in the parking lot that is shared with several other businesses. Lunch prices and portions are reasonably adjusted downward and ate a good value.
If you want a good, filling, tasty (and without MSG) Chinese meal that's scratch made from quality local sourced ingredients at a fair price check out Good World, you will be glad you did.

Small plates, quick bite, with hot tea and hot plate of soup. Over food quality is ok. Rice seemed to be very dry, for a Chinese restaurant it needs better then this. Yes I would come here again, hopefully it will turn out better :)

This hole in the wall looking place is FANTASTIC! The portions are huge. The staff attentive. It was clean and smelled clean, which is a nice change from many restaurants. Everything was fresh. The shrimp was flavorful, the tempura light and unassuming. The subgum was crunchy and light. Do stop in, you won't regret it.

Best dim sum in Portland. They make it fresh when you order.

Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Was there for Lunch around 1:30 on a Friday and was seated almost immediately.

I have been eating here since the old location. It's a little further away, so we do not go as often as we used to.
The food is delicious, it's why it's our goto restaurant for Chinese food.
