Flying Elephants At South Waterfront - Portland - Photo album

What a nice find as we headed toward the Tilikum Crossing. There were a lot of people sitting outside as well as inside, but it was the end of the day, so not overcrowded. We decided to try a sandwich and ordered the pastrami. Luckily, there was meat left. At first bite, we were wowed! It’s juicines
Best tomato soup in town !!! It’s really not that easy to accomplish the perfect amount of tang, sweetness - it’s perfect. The burger is mouth watering, grilled cheese has great texture. The one complaint would be that the Mac n Cheese was just far too dry and lacked flavor. The issue may be solvable
Really like it! Went in with big eyes but just had a vegetarian breakfast sand, it was pretty good. Wanted to try the mama leona soup, looked delicious, but didnt have enough time. Croissants and cookies looked good too. Upscale deli foods and prices were reasonable.
We arrived just before closing and were welcomed and fed absolutely delicious soup and cheese twist. The gentleman was sweet and kind! We are not locals but in the area for OHSU. We plan on coming back whenever we can but appreciate the food and service!!!
Unless you work or live in the neighborhood, it would be easy to overlook this hidden gem. It's a perfect spot for any snack or meal, morning to early evening. Always a large array fresh sandwiches, and a good-size menu for hot off-the-grill classics. There's also a terrific wine and coffee bar. Ele
All the Flying Elephants locations have great food, friendly and knowledgeable service, and a cheerful European-themed atmosphere; this location also has a great view of the Tillicom Bridge with MAX and streetcar and buses and bikes and pedestrians. Enjoy!
Great place with cute ambience and friendly, helpful staff that were super eager to assist with my soy allergy questions. Great food!
Very nice ambiance. Comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. A wonderfully varied menu ranging from canned soda to quinoa-based vegan fare, and lots in between. If you can't find a good, balanced meal here you haven't asked the right member of the staff. I would not eat here just for the view, unless
Mama’s soup is delicious, dreaming about it right now. Tasty and delicious. Prices are competitive
Amazing burger one of the best I've had. Other items in the store seem a bit high priced but the burger and sweet potato puffs are a must. I will be going back next time I'm in the area for sure
Another great Elephants location! My wife and I came here for a spontaneous dinner and loved the food, service and the drinks. Ask for a spiked apple cider and get ready to feel warm!
Very good Delicatessen on the west side down by the Willamette. Terrific soups!
So awesome. Very good food and staff, very friendly. Will return if I get back to Portland.
I love coming here in the afternoons or evenings for a beer and a snack. Lunch here is great too. I love the "elephant's cure" chicken soup year round with some sliced baguette. My accompanying picture has a pint of local beer. Pelican Brewing elephant pale ale.
Excellent breakfast burrito available even after noon 😎 Going back to try their deli sandwiches 👍 They also have a full bar 🍺🥃
We just moved here and love the Elephants Delicatessen so much. On Fridays they clear out their stock for half price - everything but the grill and coffee. (Their coffee, by the way, is amazing.) They have plenty of vegetarian options to choose from and everything is neatly labeled so you can quic
We stopped here for lunch after taking A ride on the aerial tram. Food was good, service was quick.
