It was fine. Most of the food was decent and the service was good. I liked that they had vegetarian Gyoza, that made me very happy but the sushi was eh. I would go back for the Gyoza though... so I guess that made it better. I'm iffy on 3/4 stars. But since I would go back for the Gyoza I went with
These guys have such friendly staff who were so excited to get me fed! The qualify of the food was the best I've had from a sushi restaurant before and the prices were very reasonable. The menu is so large with so much variety I haven't been able to try it all but based on what I have tried (mostly
Amazing food. It made me feel like I was back in Japan. I would eat here anytime. They have cute chopsticks for kids (or adults) that don’t know how to use them. I recommend the teriyaki chicken and gyōza.
I enjoy this Mio location. Every time I've been in, it's nice and quiet. The wait staff is super friendly and will answer any questions about the menu. The fish is always fresh and tastes like it. On top of that they keep the Sapporo at the PERFECT temp!
Awesome sushi and tempura!
Overall good spot! Service is spotty- friendly, but they leave you for long periods and they never bring your a spoon for the soup- maybe you're supposed to drink it traditionally? But it seems usually there's the Asian-style scoop spoon a lot of places bring you... The sushi is good and there are a
I've tried 15 places in the Portland area. I have found that Mio is the best balance of quality vs price. Not the best sushi I've had and not the cheapest. It's just right and is my go to place. The location on Hawthorne is closest to me so the review is for there.
Great place to grab some sushi. It’s walking distance to a lot of great bars, and the neighborhood is great for take-out and a picnic. Mio Sushi is well designed and their selection is great and I feel it’s quite affordable. Definitely a spot I enjoy as least a couple times a month.
Mio Sushi had a good selection of rolls and the prices were very reasonable. I wouldn't say it was the best sushi I ever had, but it can't be beat for the price. I loved the Alaska and Texas rolls. I guess I just likes states.
Hi Mio.
Always serving excellent food at great value, we'll continue to frequent Mio on Hawthorne. The service is also excellent! Keep up the great work and we'll keep coming back!
I really like a lot of their sushis, they're well made and always have fresh ingredients. But a lot of the staff don't know what is actually in the rolls and some don't understand the English words for the less common ingredients like creamy scallops. I definitely like it here I just have to write d
Visited with my friend this morning and the food was amazing. Their fish are always so fresh! The servers are so nice and friendly as well. Would definitely come again!
Service was attentive yet casual and the atmosphere was cozy. Sushi was good. I'd recommend the Spicy Tuna, the Spider Roll was a little bland.
One of my favorite quality sushi joints in portland. Order directly thru them instead of the many apps that come up to get the better deal and go pick up yourself, save our restaurants with direct interaction!!!
I have eaten here once and had a nice meal. The seaweed salad was pretty and my rolls were all nice. Service was good and decor was pleasant. Prices are also fair.
