Fressen Handcrafted German Baking - Portland - Photo album

For coffee it is just okay. I came here pre COVID and I remember it being one of the best lattes, but now when I went back it was not up to parr, especially for PDX. The pastry was good but others in the area are just as good (maybe better but I'd have to try more) but with better coffee. I'm hoping
We ordered takeout right when they opened (8am). Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Pastries and breakfast sandwiches are delicious.
One of the best bakeries in Portland serving a great selection of German pastries and breads. You will find a good selection of pasteries, cakes and breads with a variety of drinks. It was hard to select a few items and I picked a Danish, Nutella swirl, Franzbrot (cinnamon roll) and two salted pre
Despite how busy it was, the staff was laid-back and friendly. Warm welcome, bright smiles, and the bread & pastries are all works of art. Beautifully crafted and sooo good, I will definitely be back for more. The coffee was nice and strong, too, and I appreciate getting everything in paper rather t
Food is amazing the breakfast sandwich with the pretzel bun 🤯 wow! Great service.. coffee is amazing.. and wait till you see the sweets... I'm definitely gonna get a waffle next weekend!
I love this bakery. Each time I go I have a new favorite pastry. Chocolate almond croissant, Almond cake, Franzbrot (which is like a puff pastry cinnamon roll). Really delicious breakfast sammies too! Drool.
Best fresh pastries in Portland. Delicious coffee and fresh baked buns.
Excellent, authentic German-style baked goods. Everything I've tried takes me back to visits to Germany years ago. My favorite of their breads so far is the excellent country-style rye. My favorite pastry so far is the Eierschecke -- a lovely custard-filled almondy cake. My nieces love the pretzels
Too much to choose from! Great baked items and sandwiches. I had the Cat Paw, which had a cherry filling, and the ham & brie sandwich which I added a fried egg to. Perfect balance of brie and mustard, even the pickle was delicious. Can't wait to go back! I love the outdoor seating and staff super fr
Best bakery I’ve ever been to. They use pastry dough, so all the pastries are nice and flaky. Went there for breakfast two days in a row, highly recommend giving it a visit!
Nice German bakery with a wonderful atmosphere. Great for a weekend or weekday morning coffee and pastry.
Killer baked goods and brekky items. Outdoor seating is plenty and covered.
Cute Coffee place open on Thanksgiving. They bake fresh bread and have their own spicy Portland peanut butter. Delicious 😋
I've done a lot of international traveling and living abroad and love the taste of authentic German food of any kind. So, when I stumbled upon Fressen via a Google search one day, I had to try it out. I'm so glad I found this bakery/cafe! The staff was kind & the food was delicious! I snagged a coup
Breakfast sandwich on pretzel was soft and fresh. The almond cake was fresh too.
The ham breakfast sandwich is so good and fresh. The croissants are the best I have ever had. . really nothing I would recommend trying as it is all fresh and delicious. Hot food served fast . Staff are always super nice .
Love it, pretzel croissants are worth every penny, quality over quantity, make a sandwich with a lightly toasted one of these and prepare for food bliss!
