My husband and I ate at this place last night(4/12/18). The food was AMAZING!! We had the deviled eggs with BACON!! They were pretty good (I love eggs though, so i don’t think you should take my word too much) and the wings. They were great as well! I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was great! the outside was nice and crispy and the inside was hot and flaky. I had this garlic sauce that was meant for the the fish but I chose to dip my fries in it. The best meal I’ve had in a while. My husband had a burger and it was good as well. The food prices are very reasonable! We were not a fan of the drinks(I like mine stiff, not stiff here). That won’t stop me from coming back to this place though.

Went for HH: Food was good, the steak bites were tender and flavorful, the calamari was cooked well, and didn't have a rubbery texture. The chicken wings were a nice portion and the sauce was pretty good, a little sweet and tangy. This place provides table service which was nice but they are not able to make up separate checks for a table. They will however run multiple payments for a singe check though. not a HUGE beer selection but the major players were hit, all in all, I will be back.

My Wife works for the Owner. This place has a Great Atmosphere. Good is delicious as well as the Drinks. The owner Changed the Dinner menu & invited my Wife for the Grand Re-Opening. We are having a lot of Fun!!! We will be Back!!!

My good god this place is amazing!!! They butcher their own meats so I strongly recommend the BLT with three kinds of people. Fantastic cocktails and super nice staff. Great for lunch and happy hour. Love this gem!

What a little gem of a place. It hasn't been discovered by the hipsters yet, but the food is amazing and the ambience is lovely. The steak salad is generously apportioned and the staff is wonderful. Highly recommend.

Cool atmosphere and friendly staff. Live music was cool but super loud so I spent a lot of my visit yelling at my friends across the table. Food was pretty good and drinks were tasty. Cool little spot in downtown.

Clean, friendly service. I ordered a Spanish coffee, they didn't have any cream but it was still a good drink. Its conveniently close to work for after hours 😉. I'll come back again

We had a fabulous dining experience at ZARZ on First. We sampled many delicious and flavorful dishes and were impressed with ZARS new and unique offerings as well. The dining atmostphere and service were perfect; the drinks and bar, superb. Looking forward to out next dining experience at ZARZ.

Pretty populated at Happy Hour - kind of patronage one would expect on a Friday evening in downtown Portland. Duo combo doing unintrusive blues. They knock of a buck on drafts for HH, but not for non-tap. The taps stout selection was a bit too stout for me, so I ordered a Guiness. Was disappointed upon delivery to learn it was in a can...but so be it. Got the soup, which was the darkest, stew-like chicken noodle I've ever had - but flavor-rich; and the rueben, which was NOT NYC Times Square deli, the saurkraut not very krauty & the beef a little charred & dry, but also flavorful. Kind of a pleasant surprise. Reasonably priced. Hip ambiance. On the Blue Line. I'll be back.

Was blown away with the quality of the Calimari and the dipping sauce was on point. Now to get the the steak sandwich, it was Off Da Hook! The steak Medallions were cooked to perfection and the mushrooms/onions/Balsamic vinegar added heavenly flavor!!!! Fries were delicious and the price was more than Fair. Great staff as well. I can't wait to go back!!!

Zarz’s was knocked over by a full capacity crowd to hear Portlands great jazz music with Alyssa Schwary, with 3 high energy outstanding service individuals they knocked it out and the food was excellent as well.
I hear February 10th is another all star jazz performance, I can’t wait.

absolutely love the deviled eggs, the mashed potatoes are delicious, and the shrimp diablo... so good! and for dessert lovers, you have to try the chocolate bread pudding. so many great options, both food and drinks. the staff is very pleasant, and the restaurant/bar has a relaxed, cool vibe. would definitely recommend this place. a wonderful new addition to portland!

The food here was incredible! Noise level was very high but what can you expect for a bar? Our poor waitress needs some help! Poor thing worked her butt off!!!! Apparently they just opened for lunch (although we had dinner) and they need to work out some staffing issues! I would eat here again however!
