Comfortable, cheap, good working-class eats, serves Boyd's coffee - this place is Old Portland AF. Everything on-point here, the food, the atmosphere, comfortable seating, the working-class diner still lives in gentrifying SE Portland, and it lives at Tom's.
Cheeseburger was great size-not too big, not to small, exactly satisfying. Coffee, of course, was splendid. An interesting thing about the fries is they're priced ala-carte style, so you can get a single side to share if your diet dictates. This means you can get out of there with two burgers, fries, and a decent tip and still get change from at $20. Everything just-right, even the server, who came by precisely when we needed her, not before and not after.
It's a shame that it isn't open later than it is, because sitting in a window-booth watching the traffic and people go by after midnight would be so perfect, Edward Hopper could have painted it.
We hear they have karaoke Saturday nights, and I'm looking forward to a chance to try more of the menu items. Breakfast burritos? I'm down. TACO OMELETTES? I'm sold right there. It took us a long time to try this place out, but I'm glad we finally did. It's going to be a regular stop for us from here on out.

Best damn food and service I've ever had!!! Tom's is a Grade A classy joint. Plus please let me mention, Amelia is a gem and a scholar. Delivering smiles with ever pour! Love this place!
A true diner. The portions are good I personally leave with a to-go box everytime. Riley and Laura are the best servers in town.

Tom's is da jam of my jelly roll! From chicken fried steak & eggs, to a clubhouse sammich, to some macaroni cheese wedges in the bar, or just some Crown Royal on the rocks while watching my Blazers play. Any which way u go, u can't go wrong!
Love this place come for breakfast with my boyfriend. The Tom's bloody mary is must do!

Tom's is a long time treasure. I remember coming here when I was a toddler. People are friendly, great food and drinks at affordable prices, and they always have the games on.
Tom's is a great bar! It's that neighborhood dive bar you go to with all your friends! Food is pretty good (American Cafe style) and FULL bar, bar games and lotto of course! If you want to go Somewhere you can count on being the same as the last time you went (I don't know about you but I like that) Tom's is the place!
Good spot for some standard diner cuisine. Food was super tasty and prices were reasonable. 4 stars because service was horrible - took 25 min just to get a beverage.
Actually, I met some ladies for a group meeting, Tom's has very friendly staff, good food, and it has an old diner atmosphere, which is pretty cool. They have a large bar with good drinks. Parking was easily accessible
I loved it here! I realized I had forgotten what good service is actually like, but this place reminded me. The staff were legitimately friendly and accommodating, and they checked on us regularly.
Also had the best omelette I've had in awhile too. I had the Spanish Omelette with added avocado. only thing I wasn't really a fan of were the hash browns, but everything else was amazing! The price was very reasonable as well.
Currently my favorite brunch spot!
This is a great place. Plus you can tell this is a place where people come back and they come back and because they have their favorite foods.
My friends have the chicken fried steak which comes with two eggs delicious gravy and potatoes.
I had the most delicious vegetarian omelette and I got to add all kinds of great stuff to it with hash browns or two pancakes
First time to Tom's today. On the corner of Division and 39th. Ordered a chicken fried steak. Much better than the one I bought at Shari's by a lot!
It's a diner. It was clean, the food was good, the prices were reasonable, good service, and all 5 people in my party were happy with our visit. I'd definitely come back again if I was in the neighborhood.
It's a little diner! Perfect for breakfast on the weekend with friends. The bloody Mary was also lovely. I got an omelette with hash browns and it was good. I would definitely come back to try something else on the menu.
Delicious breakfast burrito! Fun staff and great atmosphere. Didn't actually visit the restaurant, but the bar which had arcade games and a jukebox! Breakfast all day, yum!
CLASSIC COZY DINER VIBES😍🥵love this freakin place man. Went here with loved ones for brunch and I got the original gyro with fries and whooooo lemme tell ya this thing had a waterfall of taziki sauce that I appreciated very much! The service was nothing short of excellent. The atmosphere is humble and reminiscent of a classic no frills diner… exactly the kinda joint I dig. Go here and you will not be dissapointed! I’ll be back mega soon 👀💨
Had a wonderful breakfast today. The taco omelette and chicken fried steak was delicious. Good bloody Mary’s, great hot sauce. The service was so nice! Our server was great!
It's a good American diner. I like my breakfasts to be simple and the service to feel like family. You'll find it here.
