Rogue! Haven’t been here since it was the Green Dragon.
Beer is good, lots of options!! Staff were super nice. Most of the food was awesome - if you get a food special ask what’s on it as I had some extras I didn’t want.
That said, the food on the menu was good and had the ingredients listed.
There’s lots of space here - inside and out. Occasionally the line gets backed up but that’s mostly people marveling at the beer options.
Lots of merch and stuff. They had some sweet Halloween decorations up.
The Rogue Dead Guy IPA still holds up and delicious.
Came for comedy night hosted by Dead Comics Society and it was so fun! It's every first Friday with a great line up of local comics, and free! Got a drink and went in, the menu has lots of local spirits and beers for very reasonable pricing
Rogue is a great brewery! I miss their Pearl district location, but this one is set up really well. It has a ton of outdoor seating with heaters and a fire pit. Good beer selection with lots of other options for their in house distilled whiskey and other spirits. They also have a huge selection of CBD beverages for those looking for something nonalcoholic, and a fantastic root beer! We would happily go back.
I have been to Rogue before but not on the East side. Upon reviewing the menu, I had a question about a specific meal and the server was kind enough to check the chef and kitchen to get answers. I really appreciated that.
We sat in the back area where the game room was located to have a more private and quieter area. It was nice.
Our meals came fast, we didn't wait long, additionally they were delicious and very filling.
The drinks we ordered were also really good and enjoyable.
Ended up paying roughly $70ish with a tip. We left very satisfied. We would definitely come back again.
Excellent dining experience! I always prefer places where you order at the counter and then bus your own table. I don't feel rushed and usually someone will clear your table a little for you. That was exactly our experience tonight. Of course we bussed all the rest but they came over and check on us about halfway through our meal which was nice. The guy who took all of our orders was very friendly! I loved the covered outdoor firepit area. It was really nice on a breezy cold night just hanging out with a beer by the fire. Not something I get to do much living in an apartment. We will be back very soon!
This is the real deal, an actual brewery where your drink was probably made on premises, with guest taps for people who want to go beyond the large selection of Rogue options, and a classic pub food menu that completes the experience.
We met friends here that are also members of the Rogue Nation customer affinity group. Rogue appears to be our friends' main source of beer to have at home - they run sales that coincide with a variety of holidays throughout the year, and our friends like to stock up.
A weekday lunch turned out to be a great time to visit. It was busy enough to be lively, but not so overcrowded that service or noise levels suffered. Everyone at our table enjoyed their choice of burger, salad, turkey BLTA, and Philly Cheesesteak. I was the cheesesteak person, and was delighted by the melted cheese sauce made with Rogue's Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout. I'm not a purist, because any 3 people may give you a different answer concerning what kind of cheese is best. The only surprise from our visit was that the bread for the BLTA was not toasted, but it was a fine sandwich, nonetheless.
I'm looking forward to another visit - other reviewers have mentioned the pretzels, so that is something to look forward to.
This place did not disappoint. I may be a little biased, but I don't think I've been to a better dining and drinking establishment. I was able to try quite a few ales unavailable locally, and enjoyed a burger with a unique bun. Overall, very cool place and I will come back when I can.
So happy to have chosen this place after three hours of bike riding on Sunday afternoon.
Beautiful day on patio as set up very well. The kölsch was outstanding.
Ordered a reuben and buffalo cauliflower to eat...both were solid.
Not sure why every brewery in Portland has counter service when venues are packed with patrons dying to drink beers.
The disarray of table maintenance, plus the non ability to sell customers seems amazingly counterproductive. We would easily had two or three more rounds had someone offered. Rather we cleaned our own table and moved on to next venue with service.
Seems like weird business model, but since everyone does it, I must be missing the point.
Super chill brewery with tons of different choices. The services are always nice, my server today didn't hesitate to help with with some recommendations! I ordered the tachos and the pretzels with with the beer cheese 😄 I also had the Honey Kolsch beer which was also really good, 5% ABV!
Great beer, great service. The fish and chips are really good as well as the burgers! Highly recommended
Wow, what a venue! The old Green Dragon was kinda cool with a huge tap list but unfortunately was a bit too.... Portland eclectic. The new Rogue Eastside is amazing! Remodeled inside and out with a phenomenal outside area great for large groups and parties. Their 4-8 hopped flight is fun and they have a good happy hour menus. Bring the kids!
Great brewery. Delicious beers. Fast and friendly service. Nicely decorated. Flights available with 4 beers.
Good food and atmosphere. But the best thing about this place is our server, Colleen. An extraordinary woman with a great personality and a penchant for getting everything right.
Food was super quick, and the service was great. I had the bbq soy curl burger. The bbq was too sweet for me, but it had a good flavor composition. The tater tots were absolutely perfect. Nice and crispy with an amazing seasoning.
Came here by a friend's recommendation, so glad we tried it! Nice sized pub with ample outdoor seating tucked away on a less busy side street. Food was great, had the black bean burger with an awesome side salad. My mom had the turkey sandwich (she was disappointed it was lunch meat but it was otherwise great). We both had beers, honey kolsch and pumpkin patch, both great. They have lots on tap here. Looks like a remodeled mechanic shop.
Stopped in on a Saturday night and loved every beer I had. Had a great hazy IPA and amber boch style ale. Hazy was way delicious. Would definitely go find Rogue beers when I go back home to Colorado.
We stopped in here for a drink on our way to dinner, but I wish we hadn't left! I was delighted to discover that rogue has a whiskey flight as well as several dark beers on draft. I tried the Rolling Thunder and it was heavenly. We bought a bottle of whiskey which survived in our suitcase back to NYS. Rogue, please share your delicious DARK BEERS with the rest of the country! On the east coast all I've ever seen is Rogue IPAs (so over the IPA craze) and until my visit to Portland I had no idea you made anything more diverse for the rest of us. There was also a GF beer on draft, much to the delight of our companions! When we visit again, I hope to stay for dinner and a whiskey flight or two. Cheers!
