This is a must stop anytime I am in the area. When I finish a meeting early I swing by and pick up a great sandwich. They have so many options for lunch, and there bread is the best. Try the rye sourdough you won’t be disappointed. My daughter this last time got a chai tea and loved it as well. The staff is always friendly even when a long line awaits them. And if they offer fresh local tomatoes, don’t say no! Love coming to the sellwood location and would bet the others are just as great through out the city! I mean who doesn’t love fresh bread!

We stumbled upon Grand Central Bakery while staying at an AirBnB in Sellwood and we loved the food there so much we went to another location in Hillsboro on our road trip back. We had sausage biscuit and turkey chutney sandwich and both were succulent. The scone was especially moist and buttery and we cannot get enough of it. Wish they would expand to the Bay Area.

Our go-to neighborhood breakfast place. Both the espresso drinks and drip coffee are wonderful. The croissants are light, flaky and buttery. Everything we’ve tried has been great, and everyone who works there is always so nice and welcoming.

This is one of our favorite local spots! We are regulars here on the weekend and especially love the freshly baked bread. Our favorites are the blueberry muffin for our toddler, and the freshly baked and sourdough and multigrain whole wheat breads. They have an amazing breakfast sandwich. My go to is the "build your own" option with toasted sourdough, over easy egg, cheddar cheese, and bacon. Definitely a spot you want to check out!

Best baked goods! I really really wish they had more vegetarian options though! Veggie sausage for breakfast options would be a great addition.

Popular bakery, great coffee as well. Lots of pastries and food options. Recommended.

Outside of the fact that parking is nearly impossible, the food is worth the wait. Really will crafted pastries and breads. Definitely worthy of return.

Lovely bakery! The window is full of bread each morning and down to a few scant loaves by afternoon, which I think speaks for itself. The seasonal fruit Danish was a delight!

They’re the most perfect bakery in town, all of their pastries are amazingly done.

Easy to pop in and grab a sandwich with fresh, tasty veggies. Rolls/buns are phenomenal. And the value is definitely there (which is becoming harder and harder to find.)

Nice little cafe, great croissants! Crispy on the outside but super soft and buttery on the inside.

Grand Central Bakery is not only an awesome place for fresh baked breads and treats, but also a Sellwood go-to for coffee, conversation, and good people watching. Just be warned, they are so popular that there is often a line out the door. In summer that's not a problem, but in winter you should come prepared.

Nice and sleepy this time of day (around 430) we had excellent service and found seats right away. We did get a blueberry muffin that I wouldn't suggest getting but the jammer and croissant were on point as always.

We love going to Grand Central Bakery. Yummy baked goods, amazing breads--and they do breakfast and lunch.

People like me have to be more patient in these trying times. I complained about this wonderful business's website instead of waiting until the following day to wonder why I couldn't get my products ordered. I finally did call and received the most polite, delightful and helpful service. The bread and the wonderful meal(s) ordered were delicious, as usual, and I am a happy customer.

So yummy. Aaaaand along with the bread I bought, I was gifted a great big chocolate chip cookie. That was just sweet on many levels.

Much smaller location than most GCB, but that only adds to the quaintness. Same great food, same great service. You never can go wrong with the Molasses cookie, turkey chuttony sandwich, or biscuit sandwiches. All would be worthy of "last meal" material...

Good Lunch Spot. I happened to be in the area on business with a friend yesterday. We were both a little hungry, so of course I jump on Urbanspoon mobile and this place pops up. This is a nice little bakery/deli in the Sellwood area. The service was quick and friendly. Both my friend and I really enjoyed our food. I had the Blue Ribbon sandwich and he had the Turkey & Chutney sandwich. I look forward to eating here again and am glad I found another good restaurant close to the Springwater Bike Trail.
