Great atmosphere, small but perfect with outstanding service. Having a 20 dollar lunch option was great and spot on for size. The Miso soup was perfect absolutely no complaints will be eating here again with high expectations.

Affordably priced sushi! They have vegan and gluten free options too. Tofu is tasty and the rolls are fresh. Love the ikura sushi- not many outlets serve this..Visited a few times with friends while living out in nob hill and the bento sets are really worth it. The cucumber side is a bit of an overkill though- too filling and the slices could be a bit smaller instead of giant chunks. Perhaps there could be a serving of pickles or radish or carrots/ all 3 mixed otherwise it looks like a giant cucumber being cut up and dumped in the box (unfortunately I didn't take a photo of it as my phone battery was low), photos here are from previous visits.

Now this is Sushi done right. Such a nice comfortable place for lunch or dinner. Family friendly. Decent price for the portion sizes. I'm allergic to shellfish and told them. They were helpful on my selections. It's a small place but comfy. The calamari was probably the BEST I've ever had!

Cozy sushi shop in NW 23rd. I am so happy to have found this sushi shop. It serves many different kind of sushi at very reasonable price. Quality is excellent and these creative rolls are all so yummy. This was my first visit but I will visiting here many more times in the future when I need quick sushi fix. Service is great, very personable and attentive. I have so many rolls to try.

This is our go-to neighborhood sushi spot. Lunch is a great deal! The reason for 5 stars is service. My to-go order special request was misunderstood. The chef was extremely gracious and remade it the correct way, saving me from a kid tantrum. Thank you Mio!

Amazing service. I was welcomed immediately with a smile. The server was amazing. She was very accommodating. The place is an old house but feels like home. Almost like they are serving you as part of their family. The atmosphere is hommy, just like the sushi. Amazing flavor and melts in your mouth.

Went here for lunch and the sushi was good. A more basic sushi place but was not bad at all. The service was very friendly. The place is clean. This is around the corner from the Main Street. I would recommend this place.

Unpretentious, fresh, and delicious sushi in a cozy, intimate space. The flavors, quality and freshness of the fish in conjunction with the perfectly seasoned sushi rice makes for mouthwatering morsels. The price is also very reasonable compared to other spots in the area. Service is attentive and friendly. Try the tempura here! You won’t regret it. Fried to a crispy perfection. When I am craving something hot and savory, I love getting their spicy seafood champon noodle soup~so~good. Will be back soon Mio, thank you! Updating with some photos from my recent dine in! I LOVED the Bubble Bubble Roll (ikura and lemon wedge garnished roll). As always, appreciated the consistency of fresh fish and unique selection of rolls. I also tried the Aji Mackeral, a local special, and it was so fresh and tasty! Usually not a huge fan of mackeral, but the aji mackeral had a light, clean taste and I loved the ponzu drizzle. The special also came with the fried part of the fish and we made sure to eat everything including the bones.

With the company's seafood warehouse nearby, it is hard to imagine fresher sushi without taking it right from the sea. Great selection of hot dishes, salads, soups, apps, sake, and fish at the most appropriate prices in Portland. I have been going for years with or without friends and have never had a complaint. Love the simple decor and the friendly chefs.

Really nice folks. Quiet little dining room. Food is fast and fresh and very reasonable price, which makes it great to treat my coworker for a quick lunch.

This is one of the best sushi places if you want decently priced, well made sushi! I highly recommend it for any sushi lovers, I have been going here consistently ever since I've discovered it. The rolls are honestly my favorite from any place in Portland and I always enjoy having a meal from here. EDIT: We went for happy hour one day during the week instead of taking out as usual and the dine in service was surprisingly not to the standard we expected. The waiter took the wrong order of what we ordered and then blamed it on us for telling her the wrong thing (why would a customer order one thing and say they wanted something else?), so that was a bit annoying. Besides that though, the sushi was great as always and still highly recommend for take out sushi!

Reasonably priced. Not the most impressive sushi I've had, but I can't complain much for what I paid. There was a delay getting one of my items out (takoyaki, it was delicious) and they gave me a few free gyoza to make up for it.

Mio Sushi has been here for a long time. I came here in the 90s and their food was great back then. Fortunately, the sushi here is still great. We got the Sushizza (used to be sushi pizza.) It's just as good as we remember. The rolls were great too. You can't go wrong with Mio.

Intimate house conversion venue, limited seating available so check ahead. Fantastic quality for the price, friendly and fun service. Great value.

It’s really good — and not too expensive. Chefs are skilled, and the quality of food is fresh and prepared with an artistic touch. Great service. Location is a few feet east from 23rd.

This space is so cute. I love a converted restaurant. The price point is reasonable and the sushi is seasoned well. The nigiri wasn't very good, I would stick to the rolls. They need to put some cushions on the wooden benches by the window.

The staff were so kind and welcoming. We ordered 3 rolls (Banzai, Dragon Mango and Shogun) all of which were delicious. Our favorite and my recommendation was the Dragon Mango. I also had a taste for some Nigiri and let the chef choose his recommendations. He did not disappoint! Was some of the best salmon I have had. To top it off we got some mochi. I highly recommend the red bean! Was amazing! We will be coming back!
