Charming spot. Love the interior of the place. You won't be mad if you went here. Food was adequate, the pizza was better than the pasta. I'd pass on the lamb pappardelle if I were you. Very average for what seemed to be a popular dish. I would go back if a friend asked me to go, but I would try a new Italian spot before coming back here.
We loved this charming Italian restaurant in downtown Portland! DELICIOUS food and an aesthetic inside and ambiance. I got the pistachio pesto tortellini and it was amazing. I also recommend the prosciutto pear pizza with extra pear and the meatballs. Zach was our server and also the manager I believe. He hustles!! Such a hard worker and great server. Keep it up Zach and thank you for such a wonderful dining experience!
Got the eggplant parmigiana and it was amazing! Did NOT care for the over priced meatballs appetizer, but EVERYTHING else was so good. Great experience! Will go again next time we are in Portland. TIP: make a reservation. They only have like 10 tables… but it’s worth the wait if you skip this step 👍🏼
We were visiting from CA and decided to give Piattino a try. The restaurant is cozy and inviting, with a nice ambiance. Our server Zach was excellent. He was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We ended up having a mushroom pizza with pepperoni and a few cocoa tails. The food and drinks were both excellent. Highly recommend
Beautiful space! Lots of warm wood and soft lighting. And the food! Everything was so fresh, hot, and tasty. And Zachary was kind, welcoming, and hilarious. So helpful about guiding us in what and how much to order.
Lots of veg options!! Definitely will come back.
The food and atmosphere were fantastic. Everything we ordered tasted incredible, 100% recommended.
Lovely ambiance, wonderful for a small or large group. They made it so easy yo make a reservation for our group if 8, called us back as soon as they were open. Food is delicious! Highly recommended!
Food and atmosphere is great. What was not so great was to be charged a 12.5% service fee because we had 6 people. If it was an automatic tip, that would be fine. It does not go to staff. It is just a price increase for those with 6 people. Totally ridiculous. Yes, it is on the menu, but had I even seen it, I would have assumed it was a minimum tip. Plus, who after making a reservation a week ago and being there with 6 people, is going to see it and then leave? Won’t ever go back there with a large party, and not sure I would go back now anyway. It really kind of ruined the experience of a restaurant I have always liked.
Great spot, nice ambiance, good bottle of wine, and good service. Lamb dish was recommended by the bartender and the wine was spot on with the dish. I'll be back for sure!
This was our first time here, and we are already planning to come back. The food, service, and pricing are great. The wood fire grilled pizza was amazing. Portions and pricing are generous. A real asset to dining in The Pearl in Portland!
The food was incredible and they were able to accommodate dietary restrictions. Our waiter, Pickles, was very nice, gave us great recommendations and made delicious drinks. I will definitely come here again next time I'm in Portland!
Highly recommend the polenta cake, the calabrian pizza and the tiramisu.
Zach our server was really kind and accommodating. The food was excellent! My only slight complaint was just how fast the food came out… We were barely done with her appetizers and our food was already coming out. Although this could definitely be a plus if you’re in a hurry and want to get in and out quickly for a nice dinner. Overall excellent
The service was excellent. The server was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and approachable. His dining suggestions were spot on. And of course, the food was delicious. The portions were a perfect size.
Amazing food, environment, staff, wine and overall experience! Zach was our super friendly server, gave great suggestions and was attentive without being overbearing. Really fantastic evening for all three of us. Thank you!
We went on a Friday evening , Definetly need a reservation before heading there . They are really busy !
Food was really great , loved their ambience too .
Tomato Bisque(Soup) - 5/5
Garlic fries - 4/5
Cheese Ravioli - 4/5
Tiramisu - 5/5
I would Definetly go again 😊
When we spend time with our friends , life feels beautiful. And if you get some marvelous food to work on along with that , that’s like heaven . Exactly the same feeling I had when I enjoyed my food with friends at this place . Server were very polite and nice .
The “side bar” cocktail is a must try. Food wise I had Fettuccine that comes with mushroom in it an fir tasted great . We also tried Salmon ravioli and the taste was nice.
I would recommend this place for a dinner with friends for sure . We sat outside but in inside ambience was very good I notice , perfect for a date :) . And yes tasty deserts are a must try :)
Wonderful dinner for our party of 8. Beautiful, intimate atmosphere with delicious food. The pumpkin spice crème brûlée was heavenly and the service was outstanding!
Went on a Friday night and they were extremely busy, but able to seat us within 15-20 minutes from arrival as walk-ins. The appetizer of garlic bread came quickly and we ordered everything at once to ensure food would come out quickly. The drinks were delicious and very reminiscent of a classic New Englad Italian restuarant. Tiramisu was a good portion and delicious with some zest on top. Overall decent food and for apps, drinks, main, and dessert we paid $100 for 2 which seems very reasonable. Would come again to try other drinks and the pizza!
