A wonderful piece of homemade healthy Mexican food like no other. I had the Chile relleno, Definitely try it if you want an explosion of amazing flavors in your mouth. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. The service was great too the only complaint is that they use to have fresh homemade tortillas which is why we came and this time around the server had no idea what we were talking about so we asked for an order of tortillas and they brought us tortillas that seemed to be fried but not freshly made. Everything else was wonderful and healthy.

Wonderful Mexican restaurant and nice sized portions for lunch. All gluten free and very tasty. Visited for lunch with my wife. She got the huevos ranchero and I got the chicken mole dish. Gluten free or not, just great food.

So cute! Bigger than I thought. We sat upstairs but we saw a bar below and outside seating!!! The drinks were great, our waiter was nice, fast, and let us eat in peace! The atmosphere was nice, clean, and relaxing. The music was good but not too loud. The food was so good! Vegan choices and normal! $74 total for 3 people 1 meal and 1 drink each.

High-quality Mexican food if you're in the Hillsdale area. I got the Paleo which was three pieces of tender chicken breast placed on a bed of hearty veggies. My mom ordered the three tacos with chicken which was tasty as well. Both dishes had reasonable portions. On a side note, don't forget to ask the waiter/waitress for some of their sauces/salsas. They range from mild to hot, and all of them add that extra spice and flavor you might look for if you might find the food too bland. For healthy and non-healthy eaters alike, Verde Cocina does a great job in making nutritious, Mexican entrees.

I like the healthy take on Mexican food from this place. I do not find the food bland. If what you’re looking for is the kind of mainstream Mexican food which is spice and condiment laden to hide out poor quality and greasy ingredients then this is not it. I feel the food from this place is for those wanting to eat naturally great tasting Mexican food with quality ingredients; hence the name Verde. We have eaten at two locations of this joint and both times have been very pleased. We got the Carne Asada Salad, Steak Tacos and the kid’s Quesadilla. They were as tasty as the pictures look.

The best guacamole I’ve ever had. And I’ve had my fair share. Not too smooth, not too crunchy, just right. I ordered the paleo carne asada dish. It was divine. The service was top notch, environment was intimate, and had a strong sense of authenticity.

This is the place where I take my friends and family the most. I was so worried they'd close during covid that I bought take out from them weekly. The Chile Relleno is the BEST. I'm obsessed with it. My dad likes to salmon, and my sons love the tacos and quesadillas. The Buenos Dias breakfast is delicious as well. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant! The staff is amazing as well and you really feel like you're family there.

Such a cute place for a meal. It looks like an old house. Downstairs is the bar and upstairs are tables. Small place. I loved the wood ceiling and old lights. The food was delicious as well. A must eat place if you are in SW Portland. They also have a downtown location but not quite as quaint.

If you are looking for an eatery with excellent Mexican food this is the place. It is not your standard faire. It has a varied menu with vegetarian selections where you can add a protein choice. They have outdoor pods for dining . Recommended!

Verde Cocina is sooo good! The Mac and cheese noodles were changed to a different type of noodle, which made the dish even better!! :)

Amazing vegan meals! Tofu mole was incredible, so much flavor! My wife had the romesco cauliflower also with tofu. Guac with fresh jicama sticks was a great compliment. Everything was excellent, especially the service. Really just fantastic attention paid to each detail, made for a memorable experience. We will be back.

Local place with 4 locations in Portland. Fresh farmers market approach to Mexican food featuring Pacific NW bounty according to their website. Beautiful to sit outside and have a late breakfast. I enjoyed the Papas Y Chorizo (Chorizo sausage, sweet-Yukon potato hash, adobo sauce, two over-easy eggs, veggies) and coffee.

One of the best Guac & chips plates I've had. We had the fajitas and the tres tacos. Kiddo had the Mac and cheese. Everything had good flavor. They had a pretty extensive liquor menu too, but didn't really have anything from that. I'd question whether staff could keep up with a lot more people, but when we went it, it was pretty chill. All in all a solid experience.

The food was good here. The atmosphere is nice and service had a feel of upscale. The bartender is a beautiful lady who's caring service is top notch. The issue I came to here is that I was expecting some Mexican food based on the name and description of the establishment. The prices are high for Mexican dishes. The menu is short, only one option for tacos, no burritos. The food tastes great, and was very flavorful. The Mexican no refried beans, Spanish rice with dishes. Think savory corn tortillas. The food is rich, healthy, and filling. So if you want cheap Mexican food with authentic flavor, don't to here. If you want a new experience with an upscale feel, and fancy dining; give this place a shot.

The food was really delicious. They blend NW and Yucatan food to perfection. So good. They are super popular. On a Monday there was a wait at peak time for inside. They have your own covered pod outside that is heated. They do not take reservations be prepared to wait in peak times. Worth the wait...🙂

stumbled upon this cozy spot after a portland stair walk and the server welcomed us in. everyone was very friendly and accommodating. there is seating upstairs and private outdoor tables. we had a baby and they had a great high chair (oxo sprout). the pork enchiladas with egg and avo were fresh and had a delicious coconut sauce. the menu had lots of vegetarian and meat options. would recommend to a friend. ask for their warm cocktail menu if it’s a chilly day.

The perfect spot to enjoy delish food in a cozy, private outdoor setting. Friendly service and lots of menu options. Note: returned 8 months later and still loved the food and friendly service! Yay!
