Last night was our first visit to The Melting Pot. What a delight! I was interested in a particular type of wine and the asst. manager, Evan, was MOST helpful in making my wine wish come true. Such wonderful customer service. We had a fantastic meal and and a fantastic waiter, Austin. Indulging in this dining experience is a must!
Super friendly staff, amazing food, highly recommend for date night or group dining best peach lemonade I've ever had.... highly highly recommend....
The staff who served me and my mom last night were absolutely wonderful!! I went for my birthday and the staff had written me a cute birthday card.
We were also in a hurry to eat because we were trying to catch a Blazer game. They were able to get us in an hour early before our reservation when we told them we were in a hurry. They brought the food to our table quickly, and it was also wonderful! The staff were very quick and friendly!
I loved everything about this experience. From the awesome staff to the most delicious food. Thank you for making my 48th birthday the best.
This was our second trip there. We took our daughter for her birthday and it couldn't have been a better experience. Dealing with a new food allergy the staff was fantastic at helping us keep her tummy happy while allowing her to pick the food she wanted. As always the food was great, serving staff attentive, and over all experience amazing.
The manager Kennedy and server David were absolutely amazing. They made the entire experience wonderful. Customer service was definitely the main concern, and it shows with their dedication.

It was a really great experience, my boyfriend took me here for my birthday! We have never been here before! I got a email saying I got 6 free chocolate covered strawberries for my birthday but I was a little sad when the manager came to our table and said he was taking them out of the refrigerator he dropped them and that I could come back another day and pick them up. I got a birthday card from the staff and half way through our main course the manager came back to our table and said that he made me new fresh chocolate covered strawberries! so that was really great, considering we live in Vancouver Washington I probably would have never went back to get my free strawberries because downtown Portland is not somewhere we go very often! The chocolate fondue and all the little treats they give you to dip into the chocolate fondue was absolutely amazing! The place is really pricey, but we might just go back for dessert someday! Overall experience was cool! I would say give this place a try for a special occasion !
Excellent in every way. From reservations, to service & food. The building is under renovations so the entrance may be hard to find, but it’s worth the search.
It was my first time there and We had excellent service from the minute we walked through the door. I even got more Rice Krispie treats for dessert. I was really full and thought it was a great experience.
Celebrated my son's 13th birthday here and they pulled out all the stops. Treated him like a star and made him feel special. The food was amazing as usual and our server was equal parts cool and efficient. A very special place.
We went last night for our anniversary/engagement celebration and it was wonderful. Our server was amazing and super friendly. We really loved that they even gave us a congratulations card, very thoughtful.
We went to The Melting Pot and loved it the service was great and we were celebrating our anniversary and got treated with respect and good food and came home even with some wine glasses and a picture to celebrate the occasion The Melting Pot is a wonderful place to go after the theater or a walk around town
We drove up to visit today from Salem to celebrate my birthday. It was a really fun experience and the food was very good. The server Tyler-Ann really brought the excellent experience all together, ask for her if you can. She helped us to feel so comfortable and was great at explaining the whole process and she ensured all of our requests/needs were met. Very kind person. The whole experience was amazing. HIGHLY recommend :)
It was a fun different experience.
The waiter was a wonderful, efficient, attentive and helpful guy. The food was not that impressive and not much flavor to the meat and seafood dishes. The cheese 🫕 fondue was probably the best thing in the menu with the apples 🍏, carrots and broccoli. The bread was ok. The salads were average and the white chocolate banana fondue was good.
The front desk young woman was very rude and kind of argumentative so it was stressful to deal with her and not a very good introduction to the place.
We sat in a narrow hallway where they sit the kids due to the noise level we guessed.
Our waiter was very personable, efficient and kept the dishes flowing nicely and helped to make the fondue experience a fun one.
Price was $110 for two people with a 5 course meal but not worth the price for the quality of the food.
One time visit was enough for us.
We made the reservation with the lovers package. Upon arrival, we were very happy with the setup: the bear with the handwritten card for our special occasion. Our server was very attentive and cheerful. If you ever come here, please get Ollie because he will make sure you have a good time. I noticed the lady serving the table next to us not up to Ollie's standard. Don't let the "wrong" server ruin your special night.
Went for my birthday weekend at 1 pm. I got the birthday package, and the quality of the photos taken as part of the package is good.
My friend and I got the Bigger Night Out for two, and it was fantastic.
I can't speak to the "quality" via comparison; if you've never done fondue, this is a great place to start.
Given that they are placed outside the restaurant, the bathrooms are not impressive. Clean, but they will take you out of the atmosphere. If that doesn't phase you, good.
Great date night spot! The atmosphere and the service is great. It’s a fun experience all around! We ordered the “bigger night out” for two. It comes with cheese fondue of your choice, salad, a cooking style of your choice, and choice of chocolate fondue for dessert. We got the Wisconsin cheddar, the wedge salad, mojo cooking style(Cajun spices, citrus, garlic, and cilantro,) and regular milk chocolate for dessert. You get a variety of breads, veggies, and apples to dip in the cheese, and a variety of meats to cook with the mojo cooking style, and 6 different sauces to try. After going here twice, I think I would return for the atmosphere and experience, but the food is just mid.

Not enough good things could be said about this place! Haven't been to a Melting Pot in years, and now I'm wanting to come here for all the big occasions!
Drink: Blackberry Margarita was a great fruity cocktail that wasn't too strong or over powering.
Cheese: The Alpine was soooo buttery, smooth, slightly salty, and not too heavy at all.
Salad: Caesar was great, candied pine nuts were a great touch, and even though I'm not a fan of pre-dressed salads I feel it was done perfectly!
Entree: Coq au Vin was perfect for the shrimp, mushroom ravioli, and salmon, and there are sooooo many sauces to use for dipping and making everything your own.
Chocolate: the Yin & Yang was the best balance with the dark and white chocolate together with fresh fruit and pastry items (the blondies won it over for me though!) We also got a box of chocolate covered strawberries to go, and don't regret the decision at all.
Service was amazing, Billy was doing the MOST and dealing with a bunch of Homecoming parties and was still perfectly attentive and professional.
We had the 4 course meal with the added lobster. Everything was great. The ceasar salad was amazing. Loved that they have induction now so it's not so hot and steamy in the restaurant. Great service. We will definitely be back!
Really lovely experience. Way more food that I should eat in a sitting but I am not here for moderation. Skip breakfast, come for a late lunch/early dinner and eat your way through delicious food on each course.
Amazing place!! We were celebrating a 21st birthday and our server- Darius and his trainee were GREAT! Very tentative and made sure we were always happy and full. I’m sure we over stayed our welcome a bit but they did not rush us one bit and this was the perfect dinner for the occasion. I also ordered the birthday set up and the photo we got to take home was well worth it. Thank you for making our night great you guys!
We had so much fun coming to the melting pot! The food was way better than we actually expected and our server, Bella, went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were enjoying everything. As a vegetarian, we felt well cared for and the food was honestly delicious. Will definitely be back for another special occasion.

As soon I walked down the stairs to this underground restaurant and opened the door my nose was filled with the aroma of what I assumed was the AMAZING food I was about to consume.
This is not just an order and eat establishment. This is an entire experience that I wasn’t even expecting. It was my 30th birthday and our table was decorated and my husband and I got our picture taken.
Our server Stacy was so helpful. She kept our drinks coming, along with the 4 Course Meal for 2 that we had ordered. She gave us all the tips and tricks from dipping our fondue to special cooking tips on our entree’s. She was so sweet and the entire staff was helpful and eager to help my birthday be amazing!
The food was high quality and prepared beautifully until we dug in and devoured almost everything. The courses were spaced out nicely , courtesy of Stacy. The best part was our amazing array of deserts to dip in the Banana Foster fondue. Stacey lit it on fire and caramelized it perfectly!
Needless to say my husband and I were extremely happy with the entire experience. We were there for almost 3 hours. It didn’t feel that long because we had a blast and an amazing meal!

It's one of two fondue places in Portland. This is definitely the classier one. They do go above and beyond if you ask for special things in advance. I have been multiple times from pre prom in high school to just hopping in after a paint and wine event. They have vegan friendly options, but real cheese is an obvious best. The martini cocktails are a must get as well. Oh! Yes, that is vegan chocolate
Be ready to spend some $$. Food was good. Fun experience. Just a bit pricey. We did the dinner for two @ $120. That's $60 per person, with no drinks. It was a "4 course" meal. Adding drinks like lemonade (not refillable) will increase cost quick. Experience was fun, just did expect to spend as much as I did.
We came for a 70th birthday and is was perfect! Our server was lovely! I highly recommend this place! The fondue was tasty and a fun activity as well as a meal. The kids loved cooking the food.
The food is wonderful and the experience is wonderful. Stephanie was our waitress and she was on par with communication and very pleasant. She is the reason many people will enjoy coming to the Melting Pot. 5 star review and I hope her manager sees this review and commends her for her excellent work.
