The service was great from the greeting to the check. Very friendly wait staff. We had the noodles and chicken with a spice factor of 1. I am wimpy on the hot stuff and this lit me up a little however the flavor was fantastic. We had the dumplings to start and they were the best we ever had. We will be back soon. Good vibe with the other customers too.
This restaurant looks like a house converted into a restaurant. It's featured on Food Network. Great service and delicious noodles. The shrimp noodles with the #1 level was good, but I probably could have gone up 2-3. Definitely recommend it.
Best shrimp fried rice I've ever had! Understated and simple, not overly packed with ingredients, but overflowing with mouth watering flavor. The shrimp melted in your mouth like butter! It was incredible!
i had the cashew chicken and it was amazing very flavorful and u can surely tell a difference in noodles made from scratch. would highly recommend this place
Excellent service!! Like out of this world service. Tasty food. Will definitely be going a lot. Thank you. Highly recommend.
Really great food and service! Highly recommend

We saw this on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives.
We decided we had to try it.
We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, service was fast, friendly and great. We would go again in a heartbeat!
Blows my mind EVERYTIME! Food is amazing. Fast, cheap, great service and the food is to die for.
My sister was visiting from CA and really wanted to try Frank’s Noodle House. We visited the Portland location and we were not disappointed!! Frank himself seated us, served us and even agreed to a pic with my Sister. The noodles were delicious, as was the rice and spicy squid. We had two toddlers with us and they also enjoyed the food. Thank you for a memorable experience. We will be coming back.
Frank's noodle house is the best ever!Thank you Guy Fieri for showing me this yummy place
This was wonderful! I loved the food. The flavor was delicious!
What’s really good - the noodle itself, the texture is really good, it’s chewy and gluten-y, hold very well even sitting in the broth as left over.
What’s good - the dumpings, they are tiny bitty ones but hey you pop them in like an appetizer so that’s cool
What could be better - the sauce on the stir fry noodle. You get to choose the spicy level but that’s all I can taste, just the spiciness, can’t really tell what flavor it is
Would love to go back to try the black bean sauce noodle tho. And the man Frank is really friendly.
The hand pulled noodles are delicious! If you cant handle your spice, don't order more than a #2 spicy on the 1-5 scale. I got a 3 last night and felt like my mouth was on fire, BUT STILL ATE THE WHOLE PLATE because they were so good. The dumplings are great as well!
This place was delicious! Large portions and super nice staff. It was a perfect spot for a rainy day.
We have been wanting to come here for a long time and we finally made it. They have delicious hand made noodles with fresh veggies. 🍜
We will definitely be back to try their other items.
Saw this place on diner's, drive- ins, and dives with Guy Fieti. The hand pulled noodles were something that I had never tried before. What a great meal! We started out with the dumplings, I did not enjoy those. They were really blandt, and the mystery sauce served with them was disgusting. The pork belly noodles however were very, very good! The wife had the beef and it was tender and also delicious. The house was a funky little Portland classic, full of smells and charm. The service was prompt and friendly. I will definitely be back for those noodles and look forward to trying something else.
Had the beef noodles, dumplings, soup. Fast service, flavorful. Got 1 on 0-4 scale….would do 2 next time. Busy but short wait for a table.
Frank's had been on my to-eat list for a long time and all the hype definitely suited this experience. The service was nice but not quick, which was to be expected with such a small staff working here. The veggie noodle soup was light and clean with an excellent flavor. Of course the noodles were delicious and fatty, nourishing winter food, for sure. I also had the kimchi and the pickled dakon and both were super tasty as well. I will come back. ^_^
Great fast service. Noodles are just as good as always. I recommend the pork belly stir fried noodles.
I had the chicken breast noodle dish for lunch today and it was delicious! I asked for a spice level of 2, but it was still pretty hot, so if that’s an issue for you, keep the number low. Service was friendly and the food came out very quickly. Highly recommended!
I thought I prefered thinner noodles, but Frank proved me wrong. These were perfect and the sesame sauce was by FAR the best I'll likely ever have.
Was good. Flavors are rich and a little salty for my taste. Ordered a side of rice for the tofu dish and it was so small. When we eat this dish at other restaurants we usually get a larger portion of rice to eat with it so was a little disappointed.
Always amazing. Be brave and get it super spicy, it’s sooooo good your mouth will spontaneously water thinking about it. The hot and sour soup is a must have, and be sure to order extra kimchi and pickled radish to nibble on between bites of your main dish.
The noodles are amazing. Great spring in the bite and fantastic texture. But that’s not all that’s good. The broccoli beef is a must try, and the salty pepper squid is AMAZING.
I’m not a fan of the black bean sauce, so my recommendation is to avoid at all costs. It was not good.
I LOVE Frank's Noodle House. The noodles are thick, with the perfect texture, and always cooked just right. I don't get to dine in much, so I only can attest to the to-go portions, and they are ample.
I finally made it over here to try the fresh pulled noodles. I paid to park right out front and walked into the noodle house. I ordered: beef/vegetable fresh pulled noodles, side of daikon, side of kimchi, cup of hot and sour soup. The server was polite and the food arrived quickly.
The noodles were delicious, there was not much beef included—beware of the high quantity of garlic.
The daikon and Kimchee was not bad. The hot and sour soup was very flat and boring.
I would give 5 stars if the hot and sour soup was better, and there was more beef with my noodles.
Out of this world noodles! Frank's is always fresh and delicious. I always have enough left over for lunch the next day. How many Guy Fieri's can you spot inside 👀? My partner orders the spice at a 3 out of 4 and it is a flavorful heat, rich and satisfying, rather than simply spicy hot. Don't forget a side of daikon radish!
I initially ordered the soup noodles, but I was gently insisted to order the hand pulled stir fry. I explained that I wanted soup because I was cold, and I was suggested to order a side soup. Everything was perfectly made and portioned, and the service was obviously good. This place is underrated.
This place has been on my radar for a long time, and I was not disappointed. Got the hand pulled noodles with pork belly and it was absolutely delicious. A real gem of Old Portland.
