This place is delicious. I discovered it during nacho week and had to come back because the nachos were so good. All of the flavors they use across their menu are very consistent and delicious. They have an extensive cocktail list. LOVED the Elixir (lychee) and the passionfruit cocktails the most. G
The catch of the day was Mahi, and it was delicious. I added the Mahi to my octopus plate. The octopus had a good char to it. Would definitely get it again. The server we had was nice and helpful with suggestions. We started with the appetizer plate (not pictured) empanada, taquito, queso, guacamol
I enjoyed our evening at Toro. We were there for a birthday dinner and there were 8 of us. We were there on a Monday night and service was a bit slow, unsure how it is on a weekend. Everything we tasted was yummy! We liked the tacos, fried ice cream, cocktails, and chips/quac.Really like the ambianc
Writing this review a bit late, as we actually went for dinner within the first week or so of Toro opening up.
No major complaints. Everything was good across the board, but I also wouldn't say that anything truly blew me away to earn five stars. Prices were a bit steep for what it all was, however
We came for the first time during Portland Nacho Week. Their nacho is delicious (though not a regular menu item) and the chicken empanadas were also great. Nice variety of cocktails. It was over 90° outside yet the restaurant remained cool inside. Nice atmosphere and comfortable seating.
Came back
Underrated restaurant! Walked in on a Friday night, no reservation and seated right away. There was 3 other tables in an otherwise pretty empty restaurant, especially compared to Janken across the street which was packed with a wait out the door. Chris, our server, was excellent! Super prompt and ve
Accidentally found TORO and I am thrilled that I did. The food was fantastic and the staff very approachable. First visit to Portland and it did not disappoint in my first meal out. Be sure to try the tomatillo sauce it was great.
Visited this place on business trip with colleagues and customers. I enjoyed everything what this restaurant has to offer. Drinks were excellent, food was delicious and service was attentive. Restaurant itself is nicely decorated. I can highly recommend octopus. It was very well prepared and fresh.
We live in the area and actually stumbled upon Toro while walking to another restaurant… we had never even heard of it! The garage doors were wide open and it was very inviting. Seems like the marketing fell short because this place has been open for two months and we knew nothing about it. Our serv
The six of us had fabulous dinners. There were options for our vegetarian diners. We thought we were too full for dessert but ordered 3 items to share, so glad we did! We will be back again to try more of the meals on the menu- it was hard to choose what to order, so many good choices.
I just had such a lovely experience here with Marina while sat at the bar. She is so kind and personable, it felt very natural. She recommended a lovely margarita drink called Ode with Prickly Pear that was delicious. The chuleta de cerdo entree was super yummy and a nice sized portion. Definite
We’ve visited here twice now! Fantastic location and I love the open atmosphere patio and family friendly vibe.
We had Kevin as our server the first time and Matthew the second. Both were fantastic!
This is our new FAVORITE Mexican spot in the Pearl and that’s saying something with Papi Chulos and
So happy to have Toro on the Pearl. The decor is modern and the open air space is perfect for a date night or drinks with the girls. The Mexican food and vibe are all around wonderful! The best part is that they take reservations. Salud!
This place quietly opened in the Pearl and just tried it for the first time was not disappointed. Wasn't excited about the idea of a fancier Mexican restaurant having so much mom and pop restaurants growing up, but it was really good. Got shrimp tacos, guac, empanadas, and enchilada and all was flav
The food here is amazing, the guacamole is perfect and the enchiladas and tacos are so good. Street Parking is this area was easy too. The best quality Mexican food I’ve had in Portland so far. Plenty of comfy seating too. Go here.
I would say the experience was around 4.3 stars.... But because some of the weird reviews on here, I am rounding up. We were greeted by possibly the manager right away and sat in our choice of booth. Very polite and prompt service from him.
Ambience - cute modern Mexican vibe. I travel to Mexico a
