Fantastic choice for anyone, really. They have many veggie and vegan options as well as omnivore dishes. This place is off the chain delicious, their lemonades and teas were the perfect addition to our meals. We went on a Wednesday at about 2pm, there wasn’t a wait to be seated and were served quite promptly. There is plenty of assigned parking just outside the front door, as well as paid and street parking. Fantastic meal! We will be back!

This is the best Lebanese restaurant I have ever tried! The tomato pesto sauce is so awesome!!! Meat are very fresh and flavorful, unlike other middle eastern restaurants, meat is not too salty. I live in Seattle and tried multiple famous middle eastern restaurants in Seattle. I have to say that Nicholas is way better than all of Seattle Lebanese restaurants. 🫶🫶🫶

I enjoyed lunch with friends at Nicholas. Lamb-anything is always my go to. I had the lamb kabob bowl. It was tasty and the perfect lunch size. The mint ice tea was a nice refresher on a warm afternoon. Lunch service is quite busy. Expect to wait for a table. It's worth it.

This pita bread is the thing of dreams. Fluffy and perfect. The drinks are really creative & refreshing. The baked Mac & cheese -- even if you don't like Mac & cheese, you'll like this one. Delicious dolmas as well.

Went for dinner and had the Lamb Kabob plate. The lamb was very tasty and cooked perfectly, and I don't even eat lamb. The rice was soft and flavorful. The dish also came with a house salad, but I ate it, so there is no picture to show. Enjoy!

Loved the atmosphere in here. Nice ramp into restaurant gets you right into the main dining room (I can take my elderly mother, so I will be back!). Service was great and the freshly made pita to start us off was outstanding. I am a big fan of both the presentation and taste of the Turkish coffee, as well (this drink felt special). Prices seemed more-than-reasonable for the portions. Seating was comfortable, and next time, I'll ask to sit in the beautiful booths adorned with curtains on the far side of the dining room.

First time going to this restaurant and I would go back again. The food was very good as well as the atmosphere and service. I love the big fresh pita bread. The Nicholas chicken plate was delicious.

Nicholas is absolutely fantastic. It's a true staple of Portland food culture. The food and drinks are excellent and the new location has a lovely atmosphere (although the coziness of the old location will be missed). If you haven't tried it yet you're really missing out.

Excellent. Incredibly reasonable on price. You are brought the flat bread and dipping oil. I got a sample of the dips (walnut red pepper was probably my favorite. They were all very flavorful and smooth). I had the chicken/rice bowl with chickpea/cabbage salad. The garlic sauce was super garlicky. Everything was delicious. Friendly service. Recommended by your guide-thanks Felipe. So glad I listened. Great food and terrific price. Enjoy!

I got the chicken breast skewers, which came with a delicious scoop of rice and some v garlicky and mouthwatering sauces. 10/10 They also brought us out little side salads before the meal and a massive round of hot fresh pita bread. Incredible.

Nicholas brought its A game with this new location!!! Did lunch on Tues. Had the beef kebab plate. Kebab was outstanding, rice and salad excellent. Warm bread at the table was delicious and high quality. Space is great and wait staff not bad.

Decent Mediterranean food that has vegetarian options. They have some classics cocktails as well. Each table starts with a large plate of pita fresh out of the oven. We got several dips as well as the beef stuffed grape leaves. I recommend going with the tzatziki sauce, delicious.

Very good food. We were absolutely full and very very satisfied with the food. We had a lot of food but also honest, healthy and genuine food as you cook it at home. ... And so full of many fresh flavors. It was was exactly what we needed. We had a pepper hummus with walnuts, cauliflower with a fresh herbs loaded tahini sauce and two kebob skewers, one with salmon and one with beef. The amazing fresh bread, directly from the oven comes is complementary - totally yummy. As a dessert, we had a baklava which I liked as it was full of flavors but not too sweet - and lots of pistachio on top. And for the leftovers we got a big plastic container. Our waitress was super friendly and very helpful.

Best Mediterranean food I've had since I lived in Detroit. Started with the Nicholas mimosa and Amazing meat-stuffed grape leaves, tzatiki with a giant fluffy pita bread. Main course was lamb kabobs, saffron rice, and toum. (The garlic breath was so worth it!) My dinner companion had the lamb schawarma with jasmine saffron rice, hummus, and a cabbage kale garbanzo salad. Next time I'll have to remember to order a shot of Turkish coffee.

Great middle eastern cuisine in a nicely appointed place. You always get a large pita for the table. We had the vegetarian mezza, meat stuffed grape leafs and a lamb kabob. Everything was delicious.

I’ve been going to Nickolas restaurant for 10 years. I just went there on Valentine’s Day to get some takeout for my wife and It’s always been good but, something happened recently that really ELEVATES these dishes. The food is absolutely PHENOMENAL now. And like I said, it was always really good but, now it’s 5 star dining.

Very happy with my first meal in Portland. It was tasty, homy, flavorful, and fresh. The chicken Shawarma platter was great! The amount was huge. Pita bread was made and served right after I entered the restaurant. Hot mint tea was good too!

The new and improved location is great. More spacious and brighter as well. Last night's visit was my first visit since they moved from the SE Grand Ave location. Back then, my favorite dish was Stephen's Chicken... it seems they've renamed it to "Nicholas Chicken Plate"(photo), it is still a delicious ever. It will continue on as my favorite dish there. I would've given 5 stars except, I was disappointed with the pita or, is it naan? Anyway, the starter bread was always the highlight/ draw to my visits in years' past because it was amazing, it wasn't last night. It was too thick and very quick-filling. To me, it did not taste nor feel the same.
