Kachka - Portland - Photo album

What an amazing meal and service. Came on a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint! The cabbage roll was just like my great grandmother user to make and the sauce it was in was absolutely decadent. The vareniki was so delicious as well. The short rib borscht was unlike any borscht I
An incredible experience. Every plate was delicious and interesting. The infused vodka drinks were exquisite and really complemented the food. Would 100%recommend trying this place, as it is a quite niche cuisine that you can't find often in the US. It's even better for big groups of people.
Great place to try some Russian styled food. They have a large selection of house infused vodkas each with a unique flavor. This place is great for ordering a lot of dishes and sharing with the table. My top item was the beef and lamb cabbage roll in tomatoes.
This place is absolutely delicious and amazing. Don't be scared away with words like 'reservation for dinner' and all that. They accept walk ins. Might be a wait, but it is absolutely worth it! Also, be available to drink because their infusions are amazing.
Loved everything! We had the meat dumplings, the trout, the salmon roe and the rabbit. All delicious! This with a beer and wine came to a reasonable $150 total (Including service). Wish we could eat there every night, but we live in LA 😔
Kachka really surprised me. I came here for dinner with a big group and when we arrived the private room was nicely set up with appetizers waiting. I was initially skeptical about the food because I’ve never been to an Eastern Europe restaurant before but I’m happy I decided to give the food a try!
We love this place with all our being. The space is lovely, the leather chairs are so comfortable as well as the benches. There's not a bad seat in the space. Every time we come in the staff are all so welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu. This is probably the best staff in the city, and we s
Took our kids here for their birthday dinner and they absolutely loved the experience. Beautiful setting and atmosphere and the dishes were fun to share. Would definitely be back for more with friends. They also have a well stocked bar with delicious drinks. Kids have since learned how to make herri
Just as good as NOBU but eastern European. Give this place a Michelin star--wait don't, cause then I'll never get a reservation again 😜 jk. I haven't been so happy after a meal in years. Keep up the good work!
What a delight. You walk in to find a restaurant decorated like an old world Slavic cottage and a fantastic menu of elevated favorites from a variety of countries. We tried and loved the full zakuski menu accompanied by horseradish infused vodka shots which was all delicious. We also added the sour
Alright, so I was a bit hesitant about trying this place. I really hate politics in my food…and this place has it blasting in your face with their comrades and Soviet era posters all over the wall. Plus they’ve got a “values” page on website that has nothing to do with food. Agh… then there is the a
I recently visited Kachka in Portland and was blown away by the authentic Russian cuisine. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with a bustling open kitchen and colorful decor. The service was excellent, with the waitstaff being knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us through the menu. The food
Kachka offers an incredible experience from start to end. You can just ask the servers and they’ll let you know which plates are the best but to be honest, this is my 3rd time going there and we have never had a bad plate. Everything is delicious! You gotta try the sour cherry dumplings!!! SO SO SO
Unreal. All-around one of the better dining experiences I’ve had in a while - with one minor regret. Read on. Atmosphere Elegant, but not stuffy. Romantic, so it’s a great place to bring a date or significant other. You can hear chatter from other people at Kachka, but it’s never too loud to have a
Our first ever Russian dinner experience and we loved every bit of it. The dinner was delicious and the service was extraordinary. We haven’t stopped thinking of the Herring dip and sour cherry dumplings 😋
Seen this place on food network and the history behind it made me want to check it out while I was in town. The Staff was absolutely amazing and the food was just as great. I highly recommend
Wow! This was a wonderful experience. Love the atmosphere and decor. The Moscow mule is delicious but didn't come in a copper mug. For a non alcoholic option, their pomegranate soda is a tangy delight. There are lots of vegetarian options available. I'd recommend the cabbage schnitzel. But if you ea
Fun ambiance; great for meeting up with friends. We enjoyed the herring and sour cabbage entree the most.
