Wow, what an incredible meal over at Lechon. I usually don’t see that many things on a menu that I’d love eating, but genuinely had a hard time deciding what to go with. Ambiance is vibrant while still feeling cozy and our party was immediately seated upon arrival. The back room is interesting with a large spiral staircase which was cool. Food was overall very tasty and the drinks were delicious. Tons of fruity and tropical inspired drinks to select from. Would definitely recommend the chicken bites to start, and the flank steak was also quite tasty. Definitely will be paying another visit to Lechon. Great celebratory dinner spot or restaurant for team outings.

Loved the ambiance here starting with the cool Fish tanks especially the jellyfish behind the bar. We wanted the try several dishes so tapas was the way to go. Each dish was good but not as fabulous as I expected reading the reviews. The kids menu and portion size was surprisingly huge for the price. Service was excellent

I love this place. It's all about the small plates and the beverages. You really can't go wrong ordering a bunch of things to try. I love sitting at the bar to watch the jellyfish as I sip my expertly crafted cocktail. My favorite dish might be the tuna ceviche but there's so many other good dishes too!

Amazing topas, drinks and ambiance, including a large salt water tank in the dining room and a tank behind the bar with jellyfish! There wasn't a dish we didn't like, and they left a nice note on our table for my birthday. They gave me my choice of dessert from the menu for free for my birthday as well. Would recommend! Be sure to get reservations though, it was busy.

This is definitely high class food that is well crafted. I wouldn't recommend going when you are hungry unless you can afford it. I enjoyed all the food and it was a lovely experience. I don't know if I'd go again but it makes for a nice date night.

Tapa style dishes inspired by different countries in Latin America. An true example of the excellence of the food scene in Portland. The flavors were truly complex. I loved the fact that every bite meant discovering a different ingredient/flavor. Their drinks were excellent, but my favorite was their non-alcoholic "Fashionably Late". A work of art, and a must try for anyone that enjoys Earl Grey. Another favorite was the Peruvian Chicken Bites. However the White Corn and Cheese Fritters and the Brisket Empanadas where also very good!

Came here during happy hour and was impressed with the food and atmosphere. They have a large tank near the entrance with beautiful aquatics swimming. The happy hour menu was full of delightfully unique options, the bone marrow in particular was surprisingly delicious. The Peruvian chicken and steak were perfect and tasted incredible.

We’re from out of town and heard this is a great spot to check out while in Portland. We were not disappointed! The food and drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming (we loved the open-style kitchen). Our party of three split a bunch of tapas and the portions were good. Our server Christian was excellent - he was very knowledgeable and gave plenty of great recommendations. We would definitely come back the next time we visit!

Amazing, just amazing! Had the mal humorado cocktail, great taste, and complexity of flavours. Chicken Bites were great. Flank steak was cooked to perfection, and had amazing flavours. Empanadas we’re piping hot! And so great, albeit very small. Only negative was the patatas, which were subpar in my opinion, and tasted bland, and had a mushy texture. Overall, great ambiance, music, and service. Highly recommend.

My wife and I went here for a celebratory dinner provided from one of my clients. The food was amazing. The service was excellent. The ambience was warm and personal. We sat in the back of the restaurant where it’s a little bit quieter. So if you’re looking for a romantic dinner where you can have a nice conversation, try to get a seat in the back of the restaurant. The front of the restaurant can be a little bit busy and noisy with everything going on up by the kitchen. The trade-off is the beautiful aquarium that they have up by the kitchen and bar area are fantastic. I’ve never seen a jellyfish aquarium before. Highly recommend great place to eat. Absolutely worth the money. We had not intended it but our reservations were so early in the day because it was last minute that we ended up getting some happy hour menus. The mushrooms on the happy hour are fantastic.

If you're looking for a Latin American tapas place you can't go wrong with Lechon. Very flavorful food, awesome cocktails, great atmosphere, and friendly servers. We had the strawberry salad, octopus, baocitos, and pastel de choclo and all were delicious. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the pastel de choclo, a small savory meat pie in a corn crust. Also the Reliable Narrator was a great cocktail featuring sesame-washed whiskey and cognac, distinctive and delicious. I'd definitely recommend reservations here. As for parking, there's a paid lot that's right next to the restaurant which is convenient but parking can be very tight there.

This was one of the best restaurants I have been too, definitely the best tapas in Portland. Everything about the whole experience was top notch. Food was 5stars, service was 5stars, atmosphere was 5stars and they had live jellyfish. My only recommendation would be to not sit outside as it's kind of busy with lot of car and foot traffic.

I am visiting from out of town and this was the most recommended restaurant in portland. Wow oh wow this did not disappoint. I am on business trip so cost is covered but I would not mind to come back and pay for this myself. We got the $59 tasting menu and a cocktail and I highly recommend you do the same. Everything was absolutely delicious, each bite packed with unique flavours. Portions were big so value is definitely there. This isn’t a place where you walk out still hungry. I almost had to throw up from being so full.

Stumbled upon this on a road trip coming back to LA from Washington. The place is very nice, and the food is delicious. The host was very accommodating, and the person who helped us was part Ecuadorian. Surprise to find a fellow ecuadorian in Portland.

Though my order got mixed up, the staff owned up to the poor service and corrected it. Their responsible and customer-friendly approach made a positive impression. I'd consider dining here again. As for the food? Excellent once it came out and would recommend. Not sure if it was a problem in the kitchen but if ordering from the grill perhaps order those items along with or right after your tapas as my steak took forever to come out. Cormac at the bar was sincere in apologizing for the mixup and delay otherwise I would probably have left disappointed and given a poor review.

Took my hubs out for his bday. We were offered complimentary champagne and got a birthday card from the staff. The food was excellent. We ordered vegetable ceviche, a few tapas (the octopus was outstanding), pork chops, and scallops. Everything was well prepared and the flavors were on point. The drinks were amazing! It has been a while since I enjoyed a cocktail so much. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place.

So ridiculously good. The food was amazing. We ordered 6-7 different tapas and every single one was a 10/10. Really, really good food. Environment was also great! Service was fantastic. Can’t wait to recommend to friends.

Food was sooo fabulous. Everything we ate and drank was delicious. Christian was our server, he was very personable and so intuned with very helpful offering suggestions as to what we would like. Atmosphere was very down to earth and intimate. Portions were sizeable, we split everything between 3 people and definitely left full. 2 cocktails a person + 4 tapas and it was ~$60 a person. Pictured: wishful thinking cocktail, ahi tuna ceviche, grilled octopus, smoked bone marrow, duck wings, and the banana caramel torte.
