Always fantastic! I always hit up the Waffle Window when visiting Portland. I usually stay on the sweet side of the menu and get the bananas and Nutella, but this time ventured to the savory side and ordered the fried chicken and gravy on a waffle. So so happy that I did that! Incredible!
Good but not great. It's a fun dining experience if it's not raining because there is always a line and no shelter for anyone since the place is actually a hole in the wall.

Amazing waffles. Tried a savory one for the first time and it was so yummy. But I wish I could get a better plate so it wouldn't move around when I cut it.
Such a fun hole-in-the-wall (literally!) for any meal. This trip I ordered the Tomato B's, which is a crispy yet doughy waffle topped with tomatoes, brie cheese, and basil - an excellent choice for the savory meal searcher. I found myself craving a dessert waffle (they have a nutella one!!) afterwards, knowing that it wouldn't fit into my already-full stomach, as these waffles are very filling, though seemingly small. Oh well, I would easily take a day-trip from Seattle just to visit the Waffle Window again and satisfy my sweet tooth!

I just find something so unique and cool about the fact that you can cruise up to a window of a building and order delicious, hot and fresh waffles. The combination of flavors that The Waffle Window offers are fantastic. They have many sweet and savory staples on the menu, but my favorites are always the seasonal selections. The base of the these wonderful creations is their unique Portland style Liege waffle recipe that uses yeast leavened dough and is finished with pearl sugar which lightly caramelizes when baked and leaves a sweet crunch with each bite. The seasonal specials change often, but the one constant, is they’re always amazing. For instance right now they have the “Luck of the Irish Waffle” that is fresh berries, irish cream chocolate mousse, whipped cream and a drizzle of dark chocolate and chopped truffle bits. Ridiculously good, I’m sure! Blueberry and Lime Curd Waffle As amazing as that sounds, my favorite waffles are the fruity ones. The waffle pictured above is one of their seasonal specials from last summer. It featured their signature Liege waffle topped with fresh blueberries and a homemade lime curd. It is garnished with fresh whipped cream and a wedge of kiwi! It was decadent and refreshing at the same time, and that’s my favorite type of dessert! As you can see it was served on a pretty plate, because although you order your waffles from a window at the SE location, you can dine inside as well! Best waffle in the known world!. We shared the fruit and granola waffle. 7 fruits that were perfectly ripe. yogurt and granola added such a nice touch. it would be delicious anytime of the day or all day long.

Was visiting Portland for the first time and this was easily by far the best meal I had during my entire stay. Highly recommend the farm fusion!!
I loved it!!. I've told so many people about this place since I've come home. Each and every time I start to salivate remembering the meal. I got the Whole Farm and it was out of this world. The waffle itself is slightly sweet but the toppings make it a savory dish. I have to laugh at myself because when I saw the plate I thought that scoop of butter is never going to melt. But it wasn't butter it was chevre cheese. It was very good. The waffle was crisp with soft pockets between the crisp outsides. The four of us got savory waffles. We saw one of the berry waffles on a table close by. It looked delicious. We're going back in two years and this will be a definite stop.
Ask for Fresh Ones. We were told after complaining that the waffles we got and didn't like were about 20 minutes old and probably hadn't been "reheated enough". The fresh ones they made to replace them were excellent.
At $10 for two waffles and two double espressos one shouldn't complain. One should ask and be willing to wait however, the extra few minutes for fresh waffles.

Best!. Waffle Window has the best waffle's i've ever had (don't tell my mom!) The service is fantastic, and with a menu with everything under $5 it makes you want to ditto-dine.

Best Waffle of My Life. I had had this 'dream waffle experience' at The Original Waffle House once, but I think it was a dream. I went there again, letdown. I've been on the hunt for the perfect waffle ever since. I say all that to tell you that this waffle from the Waffle Window DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It was crisp (nothing worse than a soggy and/or doughy waffle), sweet, and held a generous portion of raspberry, Nutella, pears, and whipped cream. If you haven't been, you're missing out.
Wandering Eyes. Not much to say here. The Waffles are absolutely delicious. Everyone is looking at everyone elses Waffle to see if they made the right choice. Personally, I dont think its possible to make a wrong choice. I had the Ham & Cheese Waffle, *drool*, it was mighty nice for my tastebuds. My wife had the Granola and Fruit one. For a moment towards the end I began to wonder if she was going to lick the plate clean. Happily, she did not.
Also, theyre surprisingly cheap ($4), especially for the Hawthorne area.

This was wonderful. The 3 B's was better than it should have been. Waffles are all about four bucks, and all you need us one. The fruit is also fresh and incredible.

Get a tasty waffle and bottomless cup of coffee for under six bucks. I recommend the Three B's but any of the waffles are worth trying out. Enjoy the artwork in Bread and Ink and don't forget to bus your own table.
The waffles were perfectly crispy, dense and chewy at the same time. There is something very Pavlovian about hearing the crisp crunch of the waffle as you cut into it with your fork. Very satisfying.
I think everyone who follows my Instagram knows how much I love waffles-I’m a waffle enthusiast to say the least. I’ve scoured through Hong Kong, Taipei, Vancouver, San Francisco, and many more places to find the perfect waffle. So it’s to no surprise that during my short trip to Portland, I had to find something to satisfy my craving. After all my online research, I stumbled upon Waffle Window which so happened to be close to where I was staying. Due to a tight travel schedule, I had to drive here super early (around 8am) so I wasn’t met with the lineup that a lot of people online warned me about. We ordered the Sunnyside and the Blueberry Cheesecake Waffle along with two hot chocolates. The Sunnyside consists of bananas and peanut butter covered with a heap of whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup on a thick liege waffle. This thing is massive and not to mention, filling. Waffle Window was my sister's favorite in Portland, which also quickly became my father's favorite too during his visits. We had been going to place since they were a one-store shop at Hawthorn. On an earlier stop at the Hawthorn shop, my sister suffered our first dissatisfaction ever at Waffle Window.
Overall, there are so many waffles to try, and with their menu constantly changing.. it’s definitely worth coming back. It’s also at a decent price of $4-$5 each. Those sweet waffles are a good dessert to end any dinner. They close at 9pm on weekends!
We really loved our waffles they were so delicious and unique. The flavors all complemented each other extremely well. The nutella and fresh banana waffle was like a little party for my taste buds.
The three b’s is one of their Liège waffles topped with pepper bacon, brie, fresh basil and house made peach jam. I can’t get over how delicious this waffle was. It had the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. The Liège waffle is soft, chewy, and dense. There are also little sugar pearls all throughout the waffle, which makes it slightly sweet. The peach jam also added another element of fruity sweetness. As far as I’m concerned, brie cheese makes anything amazing. I do love the Waffle Window. It’s that place on Hawthorne that you take out of town guests. You get a good feel of SE Portland and you get some great food. I talked my friend into going even though she assured me that she did not like waffles. Don’t worry, I’m not that mean, I did have a back up plan just in case we got there and she was truly not intersted. Truth is, once she saw the topping choices she had to give it a try. The Waffle Window was the first place we ate at in Portland. Knowing this was the first of many spots we are going to eat that day, we ordered 2 savoury and 2 sweet waffles to share. The 2 savoury waffles were The Three B’s and Farm Fusion . The 2 sweet waffles were Blueberry with Lemon cream and Fallen Leaves ; both were the specials of the day. The three B’s was probably their most famous waffle that has bacon, brie and basil. It’s a true combination of sweet and savoury with great texture from the crispy bacon and soft brie. The Farm fusion was their vegetarian waffle with mushroom, spinach, tomato, roasted red pepper and chevre. It was not as great as The three B’s, and nothing was there to wow us. Great selection of both savory and sweet waffles. I got the vegetarian Farm Fusion waffle which was delicious and just the right balance between heavy and light to get the day started and my wife had the Banana Nutella waffle which was excellent with ripe and sweet bananas. We were able to eat inside which was great because it was a little drizzly that morning. Awesome place for a casual breakfast.
I last visited Portland years ago and remembered The Waffle window to be so indulgent that I insisted I must go again on my recent trip. The taste of the Waffles were amazing and exactly what I remembered. Everything except the full order of Chicken and Waffles has only one Waffle, but will definitely fill you up. My friend and I ordered two waffles each and were stuffed to the brim! I only wished that there were more seasonings, maybe even a little more salt and pepper, in the fried chicken that comes with the Chicken and Waffle and were more savory vegetarian options available. Otherwise, it is a must stop for when you're in Portland!
Everyone there is amazing and makes me feel so welcomed! I would 100% recommend getting the “Rise and Shine” with gravy from their Savory category. My all time favorite place to go to with my friends!

Easy to order online and pick up at the window or order in person and and wait. There are some covered picnic tables to eat there. Fav item is the waffle with sausage, cheddar, and gravy.
Weather was too cold and wet, so orders were taken inside the Bread & Ink Cafe restaurant 😋 *Darkest Desire* 🍫 Chocolate Shell & Strawberry *Cheesecake* 🍓 waffles (pictured). Such a delicious treat, like literally soooo good. The blueberry cheesecake waffle was like, the best thing I’ve eaten in months. Every single bite was better than the last. The flavors blended very well together, the waffle itself was great, the whipped cream on top was absolutely divine. Like, I felt as though I was eating a work of art but, as they say, you can’t have your cake and eat it. Wish I’d tried this place sooner because it was absolutely godly. The banana Nutella waffle was also a fantastic dish.
I ordered the strawberry cheesecake waffle perit. I found this place in an article online of places to eat off I 5. It did not disappoint. I will probably be coming back on my way back through.🤤💯
I have been craving a good waffle for weeks now. My hubby, friends, and I took a trip to The Waffle Window yesterday. I was impressed! Pictured is the strawberry cheesecake waffle that I ordered. Oh my lawd, was it delicious! The cheesecake pudding had such a deep cheesecake flavor. It was piled with fresh strawberries, lots of whipped cream, and enough graham cracker crumble for each bite. The waffle was thick, fluffy, and didn't get mushy as I ate. Sheer perfection!
Delicious! Never disappoints! Took my sister, nephew and sons to pick up lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were able to shop while waiting for our order. Everyone was so pleased. We ordered a Nutella Banana waffle, a Strawberry and Lemon Curd waffle, 3 chocolate strawberry waffles, can’t remember what my two sons ordered from the savory menu but there wasn’t a crumb left.

Almost got a five star presentation was amazing. Food was incredible. Service was acceptable. Couldn't understand the girl very well. She had such a heavy mask on but she was being safe. I get that. I don't really like bussing my own table and dishes at the prices they charge. They had six people working but yet the place wasn't very clean.
The waffle was amazing for sure.
Until we found a hair in one of them that ruined that one. Luckily we were almost done by the time we saw that.
Stuff happens. It looks like the people in the kitchen had hair nets on so they were trying. Could have been in the preparation of the ingredients earlier in the day. Who knows?

As always the seasonal waffle dish - huckleberry - was fantastic in concept and execution.
The biggest change since my last visit here is the relocation of the ordering window to the Bread and Ink restaurant. This seems to cause a lot of confusion because the old menus are still on the wall near the window. Don't wait for someone to come to the window! Gotta go inside to order.
Don't let the look fool you, the breakfast here is great. We got two waffles, the bananarumba and a 3B's. We also got a side of breakfast potatoes and bacon/eggs. Everything was outstanding, and the price was great. The breakfast potatoes were very well seasoned and probably the best we've had anywhere. Give the flavored lemonades a try too.
The food at the waffle window is cooked well and they have great combinations to choose from. From sweet waffles to savory waffles the taste was delicious! The basil blackberry and lemonade was very tasty and refreshing, being mocha coffee that my wife got however did not impress her.
