Hand down - best ice cream place I've ever been to when it comes down to flavours. They are so unique. Zucchini bread? Lavender Honey? Some more traditional vanilla or coconut mint chip? They have it all. Zucchini bread may sound strange to be an ice cream flavour but they made it work! I can proudly say I ordered that one and enjoyed it on their waffle cone. Mmm. We got in line before it formed out the door so the waiting time wasn't bad. Staff are friendly and efficient. Double thumbs up!
Looooooooong lineups, but worth the wait. The carrot carrot cake is fantastic, huge chunks of carrot cake and lots of spices. The sea salt & caramel is AMAZING!!!
After 2 failed attempts at having salt & straw ice cream due to mile long queues on both occasions. We were finally lucky to get straight to the counter on a hot summer afternoon. The flavours are interesting and the ice cream itself rich & creamy. After trying a few flavour I settled on the vanilla bean ice cream which was absolutely yum!

Best ice cream in town. We brave the 100' lines in summer and the 30degree temps (but no lines) in winter.
Im not a huge fan of some of their staples (the salted whatever and the olive oil somethingor other) - but the strawberry-blackpepper paired with a scoop of vanilla in a waffle cone is a little bit of heaven.
The people are nice, the shop is neat and clean. This is a family favorite for years to come.
Usuals: almond brittle something, coffee bourbon, sea salt and caramel.

Finally got a chance to try this. Yep long line about 30 minute wait. Fun time in line as we talked with fellow line standees. I had the cinnamon snickerdoodle. Fantastic. Chunks of cookie and lots of cinnamon. Waffle cone was fresh and crisp. Worth the wait.
Favorite ice cream ever. When visiting Portland this past September I had the distinct pleasure of trying their Salted Ganache/Almond Brittle ice cream. This was hands-down the best ice cream I've ever had in my entire life. Good thing I don't live anywhere near there. I'd end up weighing 300 pounds!
I am not exaggerating when I say this is my favorite I’ve cream on earth. As someone with lactose issues, I greatly appreciate having vegan ice cream options. The best part is that it is not just sorbet, which I hate. The recent upcycled food series was awesome, and the summer berry options are always legit. The basaltic and anything with goat cheese is amazing!
They really know how to do ice cream! Best variety of flavors. They even have several vegan flavors. You can try any & every flavor before deciding. Super friendly staff. It is really popular so be patient, but totally worth the wait!
Fantastic and friendly staff, who were so patient with my sampling and questions! They lived up to their reputation. I liked that some of their flavours veer away from the conventional - like the blue cheese+pear or the cocoa pulp gelato! Shout out to Andrew!
Delicious ice cream flavors! Super unique, creamy, and tasty. I got the goat cheese marionberry habañero. My friends got the birthday cake with blackberries. It was all so memorable and delicious.

I own an ice cream shop in another state. Salt and Straw is great. They have unique flavors and a good vibe. I like some of their flavors, but some are so bizarre that they're not delicious. I also think they serve their ice cream a little too warm (melted). Overall though, I really like coming here when I'm in town and I admire their business.
Well, you need to try this place if you are in the area. The innovative flavors and the willingness of the staff to let you try them as many times as you like was welcoming. Must have icecream.
My #1 favorite to get is sea salt caramel with waffle cone, smell of waffle walking in the store was great, long line but the line moved along so no big deal, u can sample again which was great. My brother order cold brew cashew pecan was good but he said needed more coffee favor.

Our go-to neighborhood ice cream shop. They have all the classic flavors and traditional stuff- but also awesome creative flavors like blue cheese and pear ice cream. Highly recommend.
Possibly the best ice cream store in the world. Incredible flavours with lots of innovation. So impressed with them I bought their recipe book at Powell’s. I’m very lucky to be staying nearby and I’ve been able to walk down every night to try all the flavours. It’s always packed with people queuing up down the street. They’ve inspired me to open my own ice cream shop in Australia. These are my people.
