Review The Ball Room - Portage

St. Patrick tradition for me is their Corned Beef Dinner and an Old Fashion. They do not disappoint! Service and food were excellent. Portions were enough for leftovers two days.

My buddy's burger was underwhelming. Mine was burnt into a hockey puck. This makes 2 bad food experiences in a row. Service was good. Go for drinks and pool, not dinner.

Food was well presented and good. Taco plate with chips, salsa and a chicken bacon wrap with chips. Nice that you get free drinks on your birthday and a free glass. Staff was friendly and attentive. Bar area was clean and large. Games area was huge and set up nicely. No shooting line for dartboard but we figured it out. A nice experience overall. Would recommend.

Great tables and solid food. Excited to get in on some of their tournaments. Excellent room

I thought it was a nice place for a late lunch a game. I thought it was a little pricy, but then we have the increases across the board. So, yes stop in and enjoy!

The food is pretty good, but the service is awful. If you have nowhere else to be and don't mind the noise of a live rock band, this place is alright. I'd consider calling ahead next time and taking my meal to-go because the food is worth a revisit.

Knocked it out of the park again with the corned beef and cabbage! I've been getting it every year for the last few years and it's always phenomenal! Seriously, everyone should try it. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Even the cabbage is excellent and that's usually my least favorite part. I'm moving away this year and I'm gonna miss this so much! ❤️

Stopped there on the bikes, to get a bite to eat. The waitress/bartender was very nice, but the food was horrible, she advised us that they had no bacon, which was pretty much on everything on their menu. I ordered the tenderloin sandwich, which they were also out of, so I ordered a chicken sandwich, the roll was hard and the homemade chips were cold and under cooked. Our friends food came out missing, sauteed onions and mushrooms, when we told her we were disappointed and she offered us a drink, which we were drinking water, we asked to have our bill adjusted, and she said she couldn't do that........WTH! She did give us a free order of cheese nuggets which were also cold! I do not recommend eating here.

Friendly staff, great food, best cheesecurds I've ever had. I highly recommend this place for dinner.

Good food. Friendly staff. Good prices. This is a great place to relax have a drink, eat some food and bonus they have live music.

We had a family buffet lunch today after my father’s memorial service. It was a wonderful experience. The planning was easy, the tables were lovely, the food was very tasty, the service was great, we were able to linger..... anything we asked for was taken care of. We felt like friends were hosting us at this difficult time. Thank you, Danny and all the folks at the Ballroom.

Our food was great. Honestly the baked potato was perfectly done and so creamy I didn't even need butter. Fish was excellent and plenty- both baked and fried. Service was prompt and attentive. We've only been there for fish so now I think it's time to try the pizza.

Food was horrible! Service was not even so so. Just not a good way to try an evening without the kids. I think I'll stick to places known to never disappoint. Sorry.
