Review Portage Asian Cuisine - Portage

We were visiting the Dells and made the venture over to Portage for some sushi. It was absolutely amazing. I had the volcano, Philadelphia, and fantasy sushi rolls and everyone at my table was drooling over them. Kate was our server and she was very friendly with us. We had the Oreo tempura for dessert, mouth watering. Definitely recommend a trip here.

By far one of my top five for great sushi!!! Not over priced and I can't even tell you how good this place is you really just have to experience it for your self!!!

The best place to get sushi within 100 miles! It’s not crazy expensive(like it would be in Madison for less quality) either! Their soup is good, and so is the food. Can’t miss with this place, not in portage for sure!

This was a fun place to eat and the food was quite good! We gave it a 3 star rating because we waited for 50 minutes before being served. That seemed a bit excessive to us. We will definitely go again but do takeout next time and eat at home.

The food is really good and they have the best fried cheesecake

Very good food, green tea was delicious but long wait times and not very spicy. Tasted fresh and flavors were perfectly balance! I recommend the place and I will be back when I come through Portage. P.S. Before you leave grab a fortune cookie and a green guava candy they are most delightful.

First time here, server very helpful , pleasant, and patient with our many questions. Clean, and good food

I've been there several times and every time it's been fantastic. The food is always fresh and the service is friendly and attentive without being obnoxious. Even though it's a bit pricey for a family dinner, I absolutely love bringing my kids and enjoy watching them expand their cultural palate.

This place is exceptional. The quality of ingredients are very fresh and the sushi is delicious. The staff is very friendly and the service is very quick. I highly recommend this place.

We stopped in today for lunch not know what to expect as we always search for a good place to eat Chinese food. Search is over ladies and gents. This place is amazing. Food awesome, service great, food presentation killer, freshness 100%.... If you live in Portage, even Madison folks this place is worth the visit. We had the crab ragoon, tiger sushi roll, and general so's chicken. All fresh and hot and tasted great. If you want a great Chinese place in your city PORTAGE... its here. Now you have to support them so they stay. Way better than cathay garden.... We will be back and be bring friends and family to show we have great places in small cities. This place would be a contender in Madison or anywhere.

One of if not the best we have had. From the spring rolls to the tempura sauce to their Wisconsin roll to their sweet and sour chicken. Every bite was deliucous. Well done so fresh.

I had to try this restaurant out from all the good reviews. My family and friend ordered shrimp w/ broccoli w/ garlic sauce lunch special including the mushroom soup, shrimp lo-mien, shrimp fried rice, the portage roll and an egg roll to go. I have to say we were all very impressed with their sushi (portage roll), the shrimp fried rice was delicious and the egg roll was good as well. The shrimp w/ broccoli and garlic sauce and the shrimp lo-mien were tolerable but pretty much tasteless. Out of all the Asian food I have had the shrimp w/ broccoli's portioning was small and the soup was horrendous. I couldn't even bare a spoonful of it. Of course my family ordered the lunch special and the lo-mien. So when it comes down to it I feel like I wasted my money and appetite. 1 out of 5 stars? I would give them a 3 and feel like I'm being generous. The only reason I would give it 3 stars is because my friend's food was actually very good. Maybe they were having an off day? But, that doesn't fill my empty stomach and loss of money. With all that being said I would definitely recommend the portage roll, shrimp fried rice and egg rolls, but anything else I mentioned I would strongly not recommend.

Excellent sushi ! Been waiting forever for a sushi place near by and then someone told me about Asian cuisine. Well It did not disappoint. I've been going there at least once a week since I was introduced to this diamond in the ruff. The lunch and dinner specials can't be beat. Finally good sushi that's easy on the wallet.

Great food with huge selection - try the Nabayaki (udon noodle soup) & the bento boxes - fantastic!

You know it's going to be good when they have real traditional hot tea and bento boxes! Excellent service. I also loved the healthy option section with no sugar added. So many of the other so-called Asian places in our area are really just Americanized sugar dump fests. We'll be back!

Best sushi I have ever had and great service! The soups, rice and bento box dinners are awesome too!! It is the best kept secret in Portage !!!
