The Popcorn Corner is one of the staples of a Portage-local experience. Their soft-serve flavor options & popcorn varieties are fantastic. This is a must-visit place regardless if you're a local or out-of-towner just passing through.

Place is always busy, whether it's the drive thru or the walk up window. As the cup you get your Chocolate Shop ice cream reads, "it contains real ingredients & it's not low fat or low calorie & everyone loves it". The food choices are meant to fill a craving, so you should watch your portion sizes. There is soft serve & regular ice cream and there are numerous flavors that you can choose from. This is another place where I usually end up with at least two flavor choices. Then comes the variety of popcorn choices, & again I leave with the crazy corn & the Chicago mix, & mix them both together in a large bag. Too many choices for a corner store that doesn't seem to be that big, but that's why I stop here frequently. Employees answer any questions without hesitation and work hard together to keep the customers moving in & out quickly. If you don't know what you want, it's better to use the walk-up window, otherwise you may get honked at for being slow. Prices are adequate for what you receive.

Looking for a fun family snacks? Awesome tasty chili dog! First time here, but been through this area for years. Definitely would be back. All the ice cream were great, thumbs up from my crumbs crunchers! Average $3.00 per person w/o tip. Great deal!

BEST PLACE EVER! I am 26 yrs old. Recently moved 2 Portage, from Baraboo, less then a yr ago w/my family. Literally, EVERY SINGLE person I have ever ran into from Portage, sinceoving here...has told me Abt this place & how AMAZING it is. So stopping there, was DEFF on my list. So anywho; on 5/28/22..in the evening time..I took my 5 yr old daughter 4 a walk on down here. Let me just say, blessing AFTER blessing, since the moment we arrived.1st, as we were standing in line...this sweet man that was sitting on this bench next to us, had approached us & said to my daughter..."Hey honey, here's $10 bucks, buy ur mama some ice cream..since im sure she brought yall here 2 buy u ur own icecream, huh?(:" & She was super stoked. & We were grateful. Then, minutes after that..this lady approached us & gave my daughter this brand new black/white T-shirt that said "poprcorn corner, portage" on it...& ended up coming in handy cuz it was getn chilly & she had this little halftop on. Again, so we were/&are so grateful. The, shortly after that..the lady came back & gave my daughter 6 new, and cute princess rings along with a couple of things of bubbles..ALSO after we ordered our things, while we were sitting on the benches..a employee came out right behind us WITH 2 glasses of FREE ice water...for us both. Not 2 mention, there was a live group band playing & towards the end, this man brought us 3-4 balloons already blown up to give to us & I hung them on my purse... Every person who worked there and or was around, was so effin kind and had took such good care of us!

This is one of the best places to stop for a treat. If I am within 10 miles of the place, even if it's out of my way, I will go. The freshly popped, buttered popcorn is warm, crunchy and delicious! They also have pre-made, flavored popcorns... I almost don't want to tell you my favorite for fear of it being sold out when I go... lol. But, it's the Garlic Parmesean Popcorn. They also have around 30 flavors of soft serve ice cream AND Chocolate Shop brand ice cream. Well worth the stop!!!

Love it! We always make a point to stop here when going thru town.... popcorn is always fresh and good. Only place a can get a malt. And my little one loves the ice cream. The "exhausted parent".... husband loved it!!!

I LOVE this place!!!! Friendly service, actually more like friends! Always smiles and how are you. They have awesome ice cream!!!! As someone who no longer can eat dairy, having soy options is a Godsend!!!! Check them out you won't be sorry!!!!!

We love this place so much that we frequent it multiple times a month, even in the Winter! The popcorn is always fresh and delicious, and there are multiple flavors of ice cream to make all ages happy. They also consistently have new flavors of ice cream for those who like to try new things. Best of all, the prices can't be beat!
