Review Denny's - Portage

First time at this location and was very satisfied with the service and the quality of the food. There was a small issue with my food initially and my sever quickly corrected it and made it right. Definitely will dine here again.

The hostess wasn't very friendly and didn't greet us. travel often and this was a belated mother's day meal for my mother. Bathroom was clean, restaurant was clean. Karen was Manager on Duty, and apologized she wasn't there to prevent the poor service received from the hostess. I believe Karen was doing food temp checks at the time. She said that experience is not the standard and assured me I will not experience that again. I had the pot roast sandwich with fries. The food was good and Kia's service as our waitress was great!

Denny's was delicious tonight. Our girl Angel 😇 was our waitress this evening. She did a fantastic job and took excellent 👍 care of Jeanette and I. Thank you Angel. 😁

I ordered from the Burger Den on Door Dash. Turned out to be Denny's. I ordered onion rigs for my side item. I got THREE onion rings. That's right 3. See attached photo. And did not give my dasher the large soda I ordered as well. When you have to hide the fact that you are Denny's by pretending to be a burger place named the Burger Den says all you need to know about the restaurant. SMH.

The food was good, hostess was friendly, but our server was anything but wonderful! She acted as if we were taking up her time and she was too busy to wait on tables. We do know all about our plans tomorrow though and the foul language that was being used in their kitchen as they seated us kaddy corner from it. She never she came back twice during our meal first was to bring us the food and sort of flopped it down on the table and said anything else and walked away never gave me us a chance to say anything the second time was about 15 minutes later when she said everything okay and walked off again never waiting for us to reply, 25 minutes later we were still waiting on a check, so we left, paid our bill and yeah...

Our waitress Sam she had very poor customer service from the time we walked in till we got our food and the assistant manger Amanda came to the rescue and was amazing 🤩. She knew how to turn a horrible experience to A1 service fast. Thank you Amanda‼️

Food was great! Delivery service great! Manager Bad for Business!! I'm posting this directly after eating my breakfast. I worked in the restaurant business for over 15 years....never ever! have I behaved so unprofessionally as she had today. WOW! It's too bad that everybody's hard work just got demolished because of the manager at the Portage Indiana Denny's. W/O her 5☆'s! I don't think she should be in a managing position if she loses her cool before a conversation even begins. (I called for a delivery confirmation.) The girl before her caused confusion between us. She told me my order was a picked up? ( I ordered delivery) The manager picked up the phone & I asked if it was pick up or delivery & she shouted at me it was a delivery! When I went to explain that the girl before her told me it was a pick up she lost it & started being nasty, rude & talking over me. Extremely aggressive! She never even knew what I called for! I don't need this frustration in my life. I'm just trying to order some food! Geeez.. 🙄 take it easy on me.😳 ....On the other hand ~ 👉 "Thank you to everybody that cooked my food and delivered it! 😊 Outstanding job you guys did the food was delicious!" 😋 Other than the hour it took just to place the order the food was worth the wait but not the hassle. I'm reluctant to order again to be honest. I just don't want to have my day ruined and have my time wasted.

I have been eating here for the last 6 months due to my late night job. I have always had great service and excellent food. I can't speak to the daytime/dinner crowd but even when busy they're honest and I respect that!
