Review Chipotle Mexican Grill - Portage

Chipotle is normally great but aftee a 35 minute wait they had no lettuce, veggies, corn or mild sauce. Had to go home and make my own. They should be ready for any promotion!!

UPDATE: proportions are still terrible! your food gets cold by the time you get it an sit down they need to keep the food hot not room temp, other issue is there portions are so off I can’t believe it this could just be me but man they are stingy: UPDATE once again chipotle fails look at this portion for what you paying shameful

Every other time it's a bad experience today was one of those they charge me a different price everytime for same item ...it's a hassle why?? Today snotty girl at register, regular person not there, she is great. Doesn't happen in Michigan City or Crown Point just Portage...today beans also very dry...just an inconsistent place and you need at least 20 minutes to get in and out. Closest one to my house but I think it's time to just drive farther for better consistent service.

This is not a review on the food! Love Chipotle's food. My review is on ease of service when you are IN the restaurant. They will take 10 minutes filling online orders at the counter, while you stare at them in line. They need a different system.

I would give zero stars if I could. Food is good I placed an online order and I was sitting there for 20 minutes five people came in five minutes after me and they all got served before me. They said they do in house orders first but there wasn’t even anyone in there yet?? The place was literally so dirty all the counters were filled with food and they literally only had two girls in the front no one was cleaning the kitchen was super dirty you could even see it from the cash register the manager was in the back the whole entire time. She only came out five minutes before I was gonna leave and then she started to clean. This portage location was great up until recently it started to go downhill a lot I have never seen a Chipotle look like this. I’m not trying to sound like a Karen but literally only thing good was the food there was nothing good that I literally almost walked out. You want a good clean friendly chipotle go to the one in Michigan city!

Traveling through we decided to use DoorDash and get dinner. Had $50.83 of food ordered. I get a text and call from the delivery driver who realized something wasn’t right when all the store had ready was a bowl of guacamole. He asked if I wanted to re-order but by then it was late and we didn’t want to wait anymore. He canceled the order at my request (I received a confirmation text and it was confirmed on the DoorDash app. This store kept my money. They stole from me. I will never recommend this place

Food was good. But the dinning room was disgusting: dirty tables, pop spilt on the floor. Had to wipe down a table just to eat, though we should of went home (outside tables were full).

Just left there after ordering online and half the toppings I order were not on my food including chicken. Wasted my money and dont bother chatting with customer service. The guy left mid discussion and put me on with a robot.

The portions are very small taste like I was just eating sour cream and cheese. When you ask for extra meat it's not worth the extra charge. I might have to keep visiting the Valparaiso or Munster locations

Always used to go to valpo chipolte; was very happy to have one in Portage but than, disappointed after visiting. Every single table was but one was available, but they were all dirty. Workers were arguing who was going to work middle line/burrito toppings. My boyfriends steak was rare. Meanwhile i have view of the kitchen while im dining becoming nauseated watching a girl finger dip over and over into the chips they serve to customers, eating them right over the line and continue making peoples food without changing gloves/washing hands. Have i forgotten anything or is that enough? I would have slipped a word to a manager had i ever seen one. Improvements needed.

Cold food , no flavor . I should have just went to Taco bell

Had a memorable experience here just yesterday. We'd only been to a Chipotle once, and the women working the counter could tell we were new to this. The first server was so helpful, she explained our options to us and described the flavors of the meats and salsas - I asked what she might suggest and went with her advice. We got the chips, salsa and a drink to share & when we went to pay the cashier said, "Since today's your first time dining here your meal is on us!" We were shocked - their random act of kindness truly made our day. Our service and our food were both excellent, Portage Chipotle has 2 new fans! Thank you again to the ladies who were so kind to us!
