Review Clancy's Irish Pub - Portage

Went here for St. Patty's day it was only our second time at this bar and it was absolutely horrible. Apparently they sold out of their corned beef by 5 pm so they had no food at all other than pizza. How does a place advertise their corned beef and cabbage dinners for St. Patty’s all over social media and then run out before most people even get off work? And then they have no other food to speak of other than pizza and they acted like we were asking too much of them to order pizza. Service was non- existent and when you did get service they were rude. We ended up having to leave because we could not even hear each other to talk and the food and service were non-existent. We will not be back.

I had an awesome time here. The staff was very polite and friendly, quick on drink orders. The locals were very fun to hang out with. The food was amazing! I had the walleye, and was knocked out by how good it was. The french fries are very good! They also had perch and bluegill available. Overall, an excellent little pub, that I am very much looking forward to getting back to, especially for that fish fry.

Newly remodeled, nice place to visit! Cory is an amazing bartender and cook! Makes amazing drink's! You need to try their new homemade pan pizza....soooo good! Very welcoming and kind to all guest!

Ambiance. Friendly staff. Food good. Drinks stiff and cold. Never know who you'll run into --- in a GOOD way! Nice place!

We stumbled across this pub in our first trip to the area. The manager could not have been any nicer and had several good suggestions for us. I will say that we were surprised that this Irish pub didn't serve traditional Irish fare like Shepherds Pie and Bangers and Mash but we really enjoyed the pub's pizza and coleslaw. We were also grateful for a non smoking dining room and having trivial pursuit cards to entertain us while we waited for our meal. The pub was very quiet and only had a few regulars there.

Sad to see this place close their doors. It was great while it lasted Brenden. Cheers man.

I'm from out of state and went here and met the owner and carry. I felt very comfortable and very welcomed! Carry made 2 wonderful drinks for me and my friend, ordering off menu and mixing it up a little bit. Needless to say they accommodate to the customer needs. 10/10 would recommend and definitely will return any time im in town!!

We stopped by for a drink outside with our dog. The bartender was very nice and friendly so were the patrons. The bathrooms were clean. They do smoke but since we were outside it didn't matter to us. 😊 thanks!
