Review Ben's Soft Pretzels - Portage

Great customer service. The staff is always friendly and just little rays of sunshine. They greet you with a smile and a positive attitude. Something we don't get a lot of today. The food is hot and FRESH! You can't go wrong with a hot, fresh SOFT pretzel. All the flavors are delicious and don't forget your dip. Mmmm Good!

I have been a repeat customer of this location for years now and have loved every pretzel from Anthony and his crew! Anthony is phenomenal to everyone and you can truly tell he cares from the consistent quality to the hours he puts in. I love working so close to Bens, I never in my years of visiting have ever heard him even scold or talk down to another employee, he is always trying to encourage and bring them up. The employees are are all kind and hard working, I never see them just standing around doing nothing. Great location, great people, and better food.

I frequent this location when I’m in town visiting friends. They are very friendly and courteous. Love the staff. The pretzels are always good and fresh. Prices are reasonable and it’s a good snack or filler any time of the day.

Love this location!! We often come here to grab “lunch” for our kids. We take advantage of the 3/10.99. The pretzels are ALWAYS fresh and the employees are always kind and happy to serve!

Stopped by the other day and I'm so glad I did! Not only was my pretzel soft and fresh, the manager Anthony was just a pure delight! These days it seems the art of customer service has been lost but I'm pleased Anthony didn't get that memo lol! I'll be back for sure.

My fiancée and I decided to finally stop by and try Ben's Pretzels and it was such a great decision. Not only were the pretzels excellent but Anthony provided us with one of the best customer service experiences we have ever had. Would definitely recommend.

I don’t know if it is just the location, or what, but I was VERY disappointed with the order I received today through DoorDash. The Dutch almond pretzel bites were over baked and burnt on the bottom! Terrible. The six piece pretzel stix had obviously been sitting in warmer for awhile, as they were not their normal soft and chewy texture. The pretzel dog was ok. I’ve normally always gone to Ben,s inside Valpo Walmart and have never had an issue. But today from the Portage store was horrible. Never again.

Great pretzels awful customer service a young man wearing glasses Caucasian on February 6th working that evening was extremely rude and lacking in good customer service. I hope the owner of this business pays attention to this review. Because the one under mines mentions that same young man as being rude this establishment will lose business if he keeps being the face of this company.

I stumbled into Ben’s, in a stupor of self absorbed knowledge of what exactly “a pretzel was”. Expecting the usual bread treat topped with the usual salt. Upon receiving my snack, a wave of flavor swept over me. Starting at my mouth, and radiating throughout my entire body. As the idea of what “a pretzel was”, was ripped away from the very fabric of my psyche, and replaced with what “a pretzel should be”, I was simultaneously ripped through to the transcendental plane of connection with flavor. My every breath, both enhancing, and prolonging this experience. Finally my spirit returned to my body, but part of it was lost in the quintessence of the realm of flavor, leaving me to live my days in the duality Ben’s and I created that fateful day. The pretzels are always good, the pretzel pockets are my favorite and always so fresh. I really like how helpful the girls are there and the one with super short hair is always super polite. Definitely going to keep getting my pretzels at Bens!

The eating area is dirty, the girls are just standing there bored with no customers,they can be wiping the tables and chairs off.They are full of crumbs and fingerprints.its flu season and that is just a bunch of germs to be spread around.

Best pretzels around! Love how quick and easy it is to get what I want, and at a fair price! Bens pretzel dog holds a special place in my heart!

Love Ben's.. this time the pretzel sticks were hard on the bottom, like they sat there for awhile. Little disappointed.

I stopped by the new location in the Valparaiso Walmart today. I asked the young lady at the counter it i could get some water for my son's sippie cup. She turned to the manager and asked if she could fill the cup or if I needed to pay for the water. The manager told her that I needed to pay for the 6oz of water. That is pure greed. To deny a bit of water for a child is bad customer service. I would cost them what 2 or 3 cents but they would rather loose all of mine and my family's business. I love your product but I can't support that kind of greed.
