Review Texas Roadhouse - Portage

Trinity our server was fabulous, very fast service for being short staff. The food was delicious fried pickle and combo appetizer tray was so filling and hit the spot. I could barely eat my steak. I couldn't resist though, the steak melted in my mouth bursting with juicy flavor. Cooked perfectly medium rare the way I love it. Even the presentation was enticing.

I was there with a group of 6, and we were well taken care of. I had the fried catfish, and it was the best I've had in a while. We were there while a big storm was coming through. The manager went around warning everyone of the pending storm. Telling us we should warn friends and family. This is now my go-to place for fried catfish.

Went to Texas Roadhouse in Portage, IN tonight and had one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in my life. Heather is an amazing waitress & really made the dining experience awesome for us! Super attentive & even anticipated things we were going to need before we could ask for them. 10/10, would go back just for her again!

We had a party of 10 for Mother's Day. Our server was excellent! Food was really good. Steak could have been better, but we had a great time. Never had an empty cup or need for rolls. The server made the kids feel comfortable enough to ask her for things. It was a little more than I expected to pay, and I can't recall if they already out tip on the bill automatically due to the size of the group. If they did, I may have tipped twice.

Delicious food and amazing service! Our server Rob went above and beyond! He told us about the add on shrimp. It was a perfect addition to our meals. He was always quick to refill our drinks and make sure everything was perfect. He tempted us with dessert but we declined. His personality was energetic and friendly. Every part of our evening here was perfect. Will definitely be back again!

Worst place I have eaten at. I am a pescetarian/ovo-lacto vegetarian which means I am a vegetarian that can eat fish/seafood and eggs/dairy. I literally can't eat anything at this place. To be fair, I am a bit picky about what I eat. Been there a couple times with family who are not vegetarians and unless I just want side items like vegetables or baked potato and a small garden salad, there really is nothing else. I like to have a main dish like seafood, veggie burger, pasta, ect with my meals, not just side items. The only other thing I could get is the catfish but that was not good at all. Whatever breading they use for it is absolutely disgusting. They don't have any pasta, no fish & chips, no lobster, no veggie burgers, no popcorn shrimp. The only seafood I recall them having is the catfish and possibly salmon which I absolutely hate. My family says they all love this place but because I can't eat there they hardly ever get to go or when they do I can't go or if I do go I don't eat. If they started serving more vegetarian friendly stuff like the veggie burgers or lobster by itself and not with a steak, or pasta or popcorn shrimp, or some better fish like beer battered fish & chips or changed the Catfish to a better recipe for the breading, maybe did catfish nuggets fried up, then I could eat there and probably would actually like it. But I honestly don't expect them to do that since Im probably the only person who doesn't like the food (at least the catfish) and can't really eat here and I'm probably the only vegetarian in this town. So until they change part of their menu to add some vegetarian friendly options, I can only give this place 1 star.

They've got great food n awesome service. Waitresses n waiters are very nice n always checking to make sure everything is OK n if u need anything. It's a great experience to watch them country line dance also. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends n family n have their friends n family n so on. My absolute favorite restaurant anymore. Keep up the great work Texas Roadhouse!!!! ����������

Excellent prime rib and the loaded sweet potato kicked but. Wife was totally satisfied with the portabella chicken. An overall great meal for both of us. The line dancing started right when we were ready to leave and you could tell the staff wasn't really enjoying it, nor were we. Aisles are small enough don't need to crowd them with unhappy emplyees.

I had an amazing time tonight with your waitress Jacque. I have to admit she was one of the best waitresses I have ever had. She was on top of our order and very friendly. She has such a wonderful personality and warm Vibe about her. She was always on the go but always made time to check on us and always willing to get is whatever we needed. I would love to visit there again just to see her and the food was awesome also. I just wanted to let you know that you have one amazing lady in your staff and she had one amazing heart. I'm so lucky to have met such a great person. Thank you for all you do Jacque.

I went tonight with my family, food was great and service was quick and friendly! Especially considering how busy it was! We were waited on by Barb, she's probably the best waitress i've ever had! 10/10

Excellent food & drinks! Very cool atmosphere! Service is great! We sat in a booth in the bar for our 20th wedding anniversary yesterday for a late lunch. Josh was our server. He was fantastic!! Very attentive & super nice! Cute too!! We will definitely be back. It was my 2nd time eating here & my husbands first. He loved it as well.

It's the only steakhouse in Portage we go to for the last couple of years. Never had a bad meal, great service and management! We highly recommend the bone in ribeye!!

Went for my Birthday dinner. 9 of us, we had a great table out of everyone's way. Service very good, my chicken was excellent, as was the salad. I believed everyone enjoyed their food. Husband had the chop steak, he never had one, as it's a big hamburger, he'd not order it again. But he wanted to try it. Fun watching them dance for my birthday, a nice touch, seeing how busy they were. Fun to get together with family that was my treat. A great evening!! Thank you, Texas Roadhouse.

Steak just the way I wanted tender and juicy. Hot loaded baked potato. And those oven fresh rolls and cinnamon butter just melt in your mouth. Awesome job portage Texas Roadhouse!

Omg, for being a holiday I thought the wait would be at least an hour by the amount of people in and outside. It was not bad. Lolita was our server and was wonderful!! Super sweet! Great food great service!! Tried the new Sangria margarita! Yum!

Love the steaks! Steaks are always cooked to temp and very tasty. Big shout out to our server Gloria! Repeated our orders. Prebussed tables. Our beverages were always filled. Continuously kept checking on us. Great service.

Just had a wonderful time at dinner! Haley was our excellent server and the gentleman that greeted us was so sweet and happy in his work. I'm very impressed!

Danielle was our waitress... excellent food and excellent service.. we will be back and ask for Danielle...
