Review Rj's Sports Bar & Grill - Portage

Very nice bar, it has been here for over half a century, some bartenders make really good margaritas, the one I had Friday was way off so i switched to a mule, that was really good. The outdoors area is beautiful, it has a beautiful massive tree that must provide great shade during the hot summer months. They have a couple of cornhole games outside which is nice however almost everyone was smoking and vaping all sorts of items and herbs so if you are asthmatic like me, you will need oxygen; we went inside, but because the doors are fully open, and the area inside is small the smell just comes in, this combined with the fact that people who smoke outside and give a big exhale as they walk into the door ugh, we had to leave. The good is really good, the first time I had wings What was that long thing in it? See the picture, I circled it, my son and husband both had burgers and they loved them as well as the fries. I will probably do take out, but the fun of eating out, is actual, well, eating out.

The burgers here are awesome! I had a side of o-rings which were ok, not the best I've ever had but decent. Server was friendly and responsive...never had to ask for refills or anything.

No drink specials but delicious burgers. Wait staff is always friends but could use a 2nd bartender. Nice patio area out back with 3 corn hole boards. Bags are provided but I recommend you bring your own if your a serious player.

One of the darkest bars I've ever been in but they had an awesome bacon cheeseburger. J

RJ's is my kind of place!! It's awesome! Perfect really. Didn't eat here, although I've heard the food is AMAZING. The drinks were cheap and the pours were long!! Awesome atmosphere!! 10 out of 10, would come back again and again!!!!

Best burgers and more. In and outdoor area. Cornhole, pool table, and programmable tunes via AMI App. Contrary to opinions, RJ's Makes the #1 best burgers.

Dive bar perfected. Best burgers around! Pro Tip: ask for grilled onions on the Swiss Mushroom Burger.

One of the best hand made burgers in portage and the hot cheese balls are weirdly amazing!

First time at RJ's Sports Bar and it was great. Watched NFL playoffs on a big screen TV with plenty of comfortable seating, excellent, friendly service and delicious food. Try the burgers! We got to meet the owner who was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the local sports scene. Thanks RJ's Sportbar!

My all-time favorite local watering hole! They have the absolute best servers and bartenders, excellent atmosphere, and the most amazing olive burger on the planet!

RJ’s refused to serve me and you know what? They were right. Nothing dramatic went down but the bartender could tell it wasn’t my first stop, and I respect her for offering me food and refusing me the beer. It’s almost always difficult to cut someone off, but from one bartender to another I appreciated her method and demeanor. Professionalism at its finest.

I love this place, reminds me of the watering hole my parents used to hang out at that's no longer around now. We've orders burgers to go at least 6 times now and they're always on point. They have never messed up our order. Best burgers in town! Good place to shoot pool.
