Review Biggby Coffee - Portage

I love to treat friends to coffee and this is my FAVORITE place to do it. Can I get coffee elsewhere for less money? I sure can. However, the staff here is so kind and friendly and the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. Every year this Biggby location provides coffee for a “Donuts with Grown-Ups” event at Amberly Elementary school, so the fact that they give back to our local community makes it that much easier to support them when there are so many great coffee shops nearby.

Great tasting coffee and specialty drinks. I love the fact that you can get sugar free and decafe frozen mochas. They have a drive through for easy access or you can go in and sit.

I come here almost every morning to get the sweet foam caramel cold brew. When the drive thru line is long the wait inside is quick! Staff is super friendly and always make the drinks perfectly.

I wish I had gotten her name, but this beautiful woman took my order and I asked her to recommend a drink. She recommended an iced oat milk horchata and it completely made my morning. Give her a raise.

Quick, Friendly, Fresh and GOOD! I had to stop over to a closing across the street and on the way I wanted to grab some drinks for my clients. A quick text with their order and less than 5 minutes later I brought them their hot Chai, Latte and Mocha. All I can say is YUMMMM. The clients were happy, the closing was a bit happier (who isn't happy with a cup of some great coffee/tea?) and it's always wonderful when the folks behind the window are super nice, friendly, efficient and know what they're doing. I also love that there are two easy outs from the parking lot onto Centre Avenue (street lights make it easy to take left turns, go straight or make a right turn). Great overall!

Biggby has some of the best coffee hands down! The sweet foam Carmel cold brew is FANTASTIC! The drive-through staff are always wanting to have a kind word with you, however, the drive-through service is not always the fastest.

I had my favorite latte. I wish there was one closer to me.

Can't say much for atmosphere, I went through the drive thru at 6AM, but the staff were friendly and the coffee was great

I tried going inside because out of all the biggby locations we go to. This one is always the slowest drive through. I tried going inside and I would say it safe to say stick to the drive through inside takes longer and the don't interact with you like other locations do.

Best coffee and Baristas in all of the US. I miss you guys when I'm on the road. Hope to see more locations around the country soon 🤠

This location has it going on. Even though drive-thru gets backed up, staff is on it inside getting orders out quickly and efficiently With orders being taken inside and out, I've never received the wrong drink or had it made sub-par. These Barista's are a dedicated crew who genuinely love their jobs! Kudos to the Centre St owner☕️

Let me redeem a free 20oz mint hot chocolate instead of a coffee. The guy was super nice!

I love this Biggby!!!!!!!! I love the people that work here, they greet me, by name as soon as I walk in the door, or even through the drive through :) they are all very friendly. They ask how you are doing, and how your day is going. I have NEVER had a problem with this location!!! And there coffee is GREAT!!!!!

The coffee is good and the staff is friendly. However, the drive through is s-l-o-w. It's super frustrating because I can never count on stopping their before work. I've been in line over 20 minutes with just three cars ahead of me, and one is just waiting on their drink. I don't know if it's a staffing issue or training but that's a deal breaker for me a lot. I usually have a kid in the car so I am not always able to hop pot quick. I've also had issues with my loyalty card but fixed that by going with the app. Three times in a row was enough of that for me.

Great drinks and food, friendly staff, but super slow service every single time.

The baristas are super friendly and the drinks are amazing! I have no complaints on the speed of service. :)

Missed my Free Shot Friday. Mentioned it in a FB comment. Centre St Portage team saw it, tracked down my order and refunded it! Totally unsolicited! It's not the $6.99. It's that they took the time to make it right and then go the extra mile! They're always good. Today they were great!!!

Actually this is my absolute favorite Biggby to go to. I love all the baristas there they know me by name and they treat me like I am their favorite customer. best crew of any Biggby coffee I've ever been to!!!!!! Keep up the great work guys. I have one in my town but i will drive the extra 12miles just for that kind of service. Thank you!

I love Biggby coffee and have been drinking it for many years. Even since the Westnedge ones were the only ones available. You would think that this location would be great because of the closeness to the highway. It is not! The slow service is really terrible! If you think you are going to be getting a coffee or anything else within a decent time frame from here, think again. I also like to get fresh ground coffee from any Biggby location to use at home and decided that, since this was on my way home from where I was and they have a drive thru, I could get some ground coffee along with other things. They told me that they do not fill ground coffee through the drive thru window and I would have to come in. I called the other Biggby locations and they said they would without a problem. I called and talked to the manager who said he was there when I was told this and explained that it takes too long to fill a ground coffee order. I told him I was the only one in line (and I was) and he said I was not. I also saw that one car pulled up after me, so yeah, I guess I was not the only one there. Just one car after me is a lot you know. My point is, the slow service and rudeness of the employees is not worth it to save time. Go to any other location in Portage/Kalamazoo. Oh, and they charge more as well.

Pleasant, though i did wish they had a few more outlets for more people to charge computers.

I had the most wonderful experience two weeks ago at this biggby. I handed her a coupon and she gave it back and said that’s how they worked at this location. I was so pleased that tonight I decided I would go out of my way to support this location. I ordered and pulled up to the window. I sat long enough for a whole song to play and my husband told me to drive off. The two employees inside we just having a conversation... and my thought was she must be training. Finally she opened the window and I presented the picture of a coupon that was sent to me. She gave me attitude, so I asked if she was training. She said no with snarky tone at this point i was very frustrated. There is no reason she couldn’t have taken my card while the coffee was being made. She told me I don’t know what the big deal is you waited for 5 seconds. It was after this I told her this conversation was over and I wanted her name and my receipt. I’ve worked in customer service for years and have never treated a customer this way. Furthermore, while I was waiting those “5 seconds” the employees didn’t add sprinkles on the cup of whip for my two year old as I requested. To say I am very disappointed with the customer service would be an understatement.
