This place doesnt look like much on the outside, but dont let that fool you or turn you off! Not only is this the best chinese food in all of Portage/Kalamazoo, but you will be hard pressed to find a place that can match Joy Fong's hospitality and generosity. I went inside to dine in and i was treated like family the moment i entered. The food was outstanding in every aspect. Grab yourself some amazing egg drop soup and oolong tea and you will not regret it!

Great Chinese Food, Great Deal!!. Joy fong is definitely one of the best chinese restaurants in town. You can't go wrong going there. My friends, family and coworkers have been coming here for years and never been disappointed. The fried rice is tasty and we love the hot and sour soup. Friendly staff too!
Delicious Chinese Food!. My coworkers always talk about getting takeout from Joy Fong so I finally had to try it. I ordered it one night for my family and we all loved it! We got some fried rice, orange chicken, beef broccoli and egg rolls. It was cheap and very tasty! I have since gone back with my coworkers during the lunch hour and the staff is friendly.
The only Chinese restaurant we can order authentic Chinese food without a menu. We always have the fried spicy calamari, steamed fish with scallions and ginger and a vegetable dish. They don't look busy indoors because they get a lot of takeout orders. ;)
BEST KEPT SECRET IN TOWN!. My aunt and uncle started taking us here over 30 yrs ago; the service quality and freshness has never wavered after all these years. MY uncle passed this winter, so my trips to Joy Fong are even more dear to me now....I even still sit at their favorite booth.
I have ate here a few times and have had a great experience. They only have take out and the outside of building could use a little love. The food , price and service was great and nice to see they survived the pandemic. Support local family own business

This restaurant use to have done in service but when the pandemic hit, they because take out only. The food is pretty good, not great, but you get a large amount of food for a relatively low price. And if you are a regular customer, they will know your name and the dishes that you normally order. The staff is very friendly and make you feel at home. I definitely recommend this fine establishment.
I love this place it is a must visit anytime I come back. I am in love with the crab rangoons. Best place to find them.
Food is of high value here & it's delicious when I came here to visit in 2017, and again this year during my trip. Only thing I was surprised about this time around was that dine-in was not available, despite what Google Maps said.

As a resident in Guangdong province for 1.5 years, I am very familiar with Cantonese food. At this place, you can enjoy authentic food. Super friendly staff and even free desery is house made. Recommend: roast duck, ginger green onion chicken, fried rice.
Been going here since I was 4. I'm 42. Same lady remembers me and my parents and knows what we order. That's customer service. That's small town friendliness. To top that, they have BY FAR THE BEST EGG FOO YOUNG EVER! You have to order the JoyFong special.
I just ordered take out from here....I've never had food from here before but I love Asian food so I thought I'd try it. First off, delivery was fast and the driver was very courteous. Second, the food is amazing! I got the hot and sour soup, szechuan shrimp, and lo mein. The food was hot and fresh and tasted amazing. I will definitely be ordering from here again!
I always get their mild Singapore rice noodle dish. So good with shrimp, chicken, pork, broccoli, carrots well the stir fry vegetable mix, that's easier to say. I also like their shrimp egg rolls.
