Wild Ginger - Portage - Photo album

Great gem in @portage Michigan for fusion food ! We went with a local group of friends from Lighting Kicks Martial Arts after a phenomenal training session! After my workshop, I was hungry and they said this a good place. In my opinion: a fantastic place! Friendly staff and prompt service !
It's very rare I leave lower than 5 star reviews, but this place was an odd one. We ordered hot and sour soup, which was good, pot stickers were great, sushi came out wrong 2 times. Pad Thai which is in the pic was more like pad soup a made up dish. This restaurant is confused as to what type of fo
All in all very filling and flavorful dinner. Ordered many different things. We like a plethora our first visit. So exciting. Wouldn't mind coming back when in the area again.
Wild Ginger is a fantastic place to dine. Great food. I ordered Pad Thai and spring rolls. Wonderful. The Pad Thai comes in different spice heat levels. I ordered whatever it comes with. If you like spicy foods, this is one you would love. I love spicy food too but I would go down one level of heat.
UPDATED REVIEW 3/24/23: Hasn't changed a bit πŸ‘πŸ» UPDATED REVIEW 9/8/22: Still awesome! Service is still great and the sushi is wonderful! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Came here with friends on Saturday. The service was great to start off. I real
All the other Chinese and Asian restaurants were take out only AGAIN due to covid. Thankfully Wild Ginger was open for dine in and I have wanted to try it anyway. I had the Shanghai stew and my wife had the Thai basil. Both were very good. We also had the seaweed salad and was better than I have had
I went here with my boyfriend and we were impressed. Their dinner portions were actually pretty large and the price was fair for the amount of food we got. They have quite a few vegetarian options (all of which can be made vegan 😊) We loved the vegetable maki rolls, it was the best sushi I've had. W
Pretty decent. I came here before any major traffic so it was nice & quiet. Employees are friendly. General tso chicken was good. Hot & Sour Soup was really tasty. Tried a Spider sushi roll for the first time and it was ok. I prefer something with a little more spice & flavor. Loved my lemon martini
This place will close in the next couple of months, and I, for one, will be sad to see them go. The food is always very delicious and made just the way it's pictured in the menu. I'll be stopping in several more times before they close in September.
First time coming here, loved the ambience. Food is yummy. Definitely recommended place. Waiter here is absolutely nice and welcoming.
When we walked in there were no diners and almost left. So happy we stayed. Everything was outstanding; food and service. I had Pad Thai and hubby tried a variety of things. Serving sizes were generous. I had shrimp and was so surprised that it was deveined, a good size and there were over 14. Only
Sadly, Wild Ginger is closing soon. But for many nights over the last couple years we have gotten food from them and it’s always been great! I will really miss the General Tso, wish I could get their recipe!
Even they seemed understaffed, the server checks and delivered great service. Second time here, check them out.
One of my go-to spots in Portage. Great value, generous portions, and food is always fresh and tasty.
This is one of my favorite sushi places, all the sushi is really good, i think my favorite are the Dream Roll and the House Roll
We haven't been to a Chinese in over 2 years with finding all were buffet and not clean. This coconut chicken and orange chicken was amazing. You can tell the sauce is homemade. We are happy to find a great Chinese place again. Very friendly staff.
