Our first time ever eating at this place. The experience of cooking your own food on a hot stone is fascinating! The food was amazing! I would recommend this place for the unique "sizzling stone" experience! We enjoyed the modern feel of the building. The atmosphere seemed generally relaxed with not too much loud music and noise.
A few downsides:
The place was filled with a haze of smoke from all the sizzling hot stones. It seems to me that a better ventilation system would be in order.
We had a party of 11 sitting shoulder to shoulder at a table that was too small. We kept bumping arms with the person next to us as we were trying to grill our food and eat. By the time everyone had their own personal grilling stone in front of them, along with their other plates, there was not room for everything. We kept trying to stack empty cups and plates into each other trying to make some room.
Wow! Great flavor, prices were fair, large portions and love how they were open at 11am! Delicious quality food. Have leftovers and even ordered take out for later! Easy access of 94. Will be back!
First time here.... Food was good. We did the steak and ribs combo. Fun experience to cook on the stone, but you'll leave smelling like smoke and meat. Service was very poor and inattentive . My side dishes were missing and had to ask again to get them, and they didn't come out until our bill was brought to the table. Server never checked on us, or offered refills on our drinks.
Had James (Jimmy) as our server, he was excellent...even made sure the Red Wings game was on one of the TV's. My Fiancée and I were celebrating our 4 year anniversary, so Jimmy made sure we had a "birthday" dessert, at no charge (hope his manager doesn't see this!). Solid selection of draft beers on tap, as well as a decent selection of wine and cocktails. Steaks are a little pricey considering you're cooking them yourself, but in my opinion, you're paying for the experience. Fair warning though, make this the last stop of the night, because you'll smell like food rest of the evening :D. Also worth noting, the website says they do not take reservations, but call ahead for priority seating. By calling ahead they mean the day before, or 2 hours before if same day...essentially making a reservation. At least this is what the person who answered the phone relayed to us.
I stopped by here for a late night dinner and drinks with friends and sat at the bar. I had the volcano shrimp tacos that were very good. My friends son had the filet on the hot stone. I know it’s a novelty but it was fun to watch him cook his steak within minutes on the 755 degree stone. There is a lot of smoke but he said it was worth it because the steak was excellent. Cloth napkins are also appreciated.
Booth flat top and bar seating. Full bar with probably 50 beers on tap. Clean restroom. Good service. I don’t remember if they had wifi. A little loud.
I will definitely return when I’m in the area and get a steak on the stone.
This was our first time here. I had the 6oz sirloin and coconut shrimp. Our service was good, the steaks were nice and tender. Each plate is going to cost you $20-30+. They included a free dessert for my sons birthday. We enjoyed our experience.
My first time there and I was lucky to get their "Thursday" deal. I got a steak and shrimp scampi and two sides. They all were great!My partner also loved her food.
My girlfriend took me here for my birthday to propose and Crystal Smith made sure it was so special! She is by far the best waitress I've ever had going there! She's absolutely amazing! Our food was great, service was great, Crystal was was soo amazing! I just can't say enough how amazing Crystal was!
Excellent staff and manager. Addressed any concern that came up. Love stopping at this place when I can traveling between Chicago area and Lansing. Great people, very tasty high quality food
Alyssa S. 100% made our day! We finally made the decision to stop here for food, and it was the best experience we've ever had in a restaurant. Appetizers, entrees, dessert. We will definitely be back, and will ask for Alyssa. She was kind, attentive, and thoughtful. Thank you for making our experience such a great one. We had the mozzarella moons, bubbling shrimp, lobster bisque, shrimp Alfredo, sirloin, asparagus and brownie. The lobster bisque was the highlight of the meal, and we would come back just for that.
