Review Thai Kitchen By Saowanee - Port Orange

Travis Sabatini
We decided to try somewhere new in port orange and decided on Thai food. Thai Kitchen is located right next to Panera on Dunlawton. The restaurant itself is smaller and was a little busy. We tried the dumplings as a appetizer and they were fantastic. They definitely looked different than the traditional dumplings you see but really tasted great!!!! The Pad Thai in a soy sauce and chicken was so delicious and had a nice kick. “Not too hot and not too weak”. I highly recommend you give them a try if your craving some decent Thai food. The only negative was the wait for food was pretty long.

The food was really good! I had Jenny's Pad Satay with chicken. It was a peanut sauce based noodle dish and it tasted really good. I got it at mild heat level, and I used chilli paste to taste for spiciness.

Our first time here - small and cozy inside with unique decor but the food was delicious. Be prepared to wait on it though.

Got lunch takeout with friends. Special was a good price. The soup was decent, panang curry was pretty good. I got drunken noodles that were mild but barely had any spice to them, so if you have any spice tolerance definitely get hotter. I added some hot peppers to my noodles separately and they were way better with the extra kick.

Kinda cool establishment... Food is good & on time, but service seems lacking... Like ask me if I need extra napkins or hot sauce... Walk by the table and ask is everything ok... I'll be coming back here but will ask ahead of time for the extra stuff I need... Like once one sits down and they get their food it's like no hospitality follow in the FOH area... See my napkin tore up from only having 1... lol... I neeeeed my napkins when I eat...

The Yellow Curry and Pad See Ew are delicious. Pending on what you order, hot can be pretty hot and delicious. Order medium or mild if you aren't sure and adjust from there the next time you go.

This place is really good and has lot of options. If you are craving for some Thai and Asian cuisine this is the place. Usually it’s better to make a reservation as this place is always busy!!! I recently got the crispy duck curry..! OMG I can’t say enough about this dish. One of the best dish in and around Daytona beach. The duck was super tender and crispy. The curry had fruits in it which was a great sweet spicy combination. Get it spicy, because the sweet compensates for it. A must dish at this place. We also got papaya salad, it was just ok. Have had better papaya salads.
