We found this place accidentally but omg it was SO GOOD! Service was lovely and quick, it was just a great time. We also had the jalapeño popper appetizer but inhaled it too fast to take a picture.
Food was delicious. Salmon was a little over spiced. But cooked perfectly. Grilled shrimp flavor was awesome. Redfish plate could have been bigger for the price, but was absolutely cooked to perfection. Wanted more of that definitely. Mashed potatoes and gravy and steamed veggies were a great side. Our waitress was fantastic. She's only been working there a week but she is the best!! We will definitely be coming back next time we are in town.
Service to be seated was slow. Food is good chicken fried steak was not hot but good . Bar area fully stocked had whiskey sour shot very good beers special $1 12oz draft cold beer
We wanted down home country cooking and this place did not disappoint. It's so good we went back the next night. All food entrees were excellent, reasonably priced, and the service was great. The food had large portions, contained a diverse selection, and homemade sauces. We especially loved the ribeye beef tips over rice daily special. On Friday night they had karaoke. It has a Texas decor and country feel, with large wooden tables and chairs. Highly recommended.
In the heart of downtown Port Lavaca. The food is good as is the service. Only street parking downtown. Enjoy and Bon Appetit! 😋
Our server Sarah was very nice. This establishment is clean. Listening to country music was so relaxing. Now as to the meal. It was delicious!! I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on a hawaiian bread, My husband ordered the swiss mushroom burger both meals were exceptional. We did have a wait on our food and our server explained to us they had a big order before ours. It was worth the wait.
Very nice clean restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere. Waiter was great! Started the meal off with jalapeno poppers, which is a really good choice! The food arrived quickly and hot! I had the hamburger on a jalapeno cheese bun. My wife had the chicken fried steak. We were pleased with our meals. Good tasting, nice portions and decent prices. We had a coupon on the back of our HEB receipt so the appetizer was half price! We would go back.
I highly recommend Texas Traditions Grill & Bar for a delicious and authentic Texas dining experience. The food is always cooked to perfection and the service is top-notch. The menu features a variety of classic Texan dishes, such as fried chicken, catfish, steaks, and burgers. I personally love the chicken fried steak and the catfish po'boy. The sides are also excellent, especially the mac and cheese and the collard greens.
The restaurant has a casual and relaxed atmosphere, making it a great place to go with family and friends. There is also a large outdoor patio, which is perfect for dining on a warm day.
Overall, Texas Traditions Grill & Bar is a great place to go for a delicious and affordable meal. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Texas dining experience.
In a chilly evening we were received in this warm place filled with country music, sturdy tables and a friendly staff.
For appetizer we had the Jalapeño poppers. Which were cheesy and delicious.
For dinner we had the Southwestern Cobb Salad with Salmon and a Blackened Redfish. Food was fresh and well cooked. Portions were big. Unluckily there was no room for the dessert, but they have a good variety of pays and cheese cakes.
Definitely come back on my next visit to Port Lavaca.
Food, service, and decor were all wonderful! So glad we came across this little gem when traveling home. The chocolate meringue pie and ding dong pie were really yummy 😋
