How to turn a huge disappointment into a great WIN! We left the house expecting to dine at a different restaurant. When we arrived we found the place locked up tight with no indication as to why. What to do? We saw folks walking into The Erie and decided to give it a try.

I spent the night in room 2. The room was small, as you could expect from a hotel this old. But the room was in good condition there was hot water the bed was comfortable, and it was very quiet all night.
I ate dinner in the restaurant which was very good -- plenty of food, and a good beer selectio
The staff is nice. The food good, but small portions. Not that I need a 6 inch thick sandwich, but I had a pastrami reuben and there was about 3 slices of meat on it. Not going back.
We stayed in the hotel and had a very enjoyable time. Be aware that it's *very* basic. Don't stay here if you're expecting the Econolodge. As others have mentioned, there is no way to beat the location, but you're making a trade off, and it's inexpensive.

My sister was visiting and we went Saturday night. I was a little suspicious of all the steaks on the menu but the waitress assured us they weren't "tourist steaks" 🤣. I ordered the special and my sister ordered the NY Strip. She wasn't lying, they were delicious, and the portions were very generous
After visiting Grey Towers of course the next move was dinner. I had visited somewhere else last year for a bite but they were closed, no matter, this was another great choice. We were warmly greeted when we walked in and seated promptly. We loved our server, she was wonderful the entire time. Tasty
I visited on Easter Sunday. They were very busy, as to be expected. Service was great. So was the food. I couldn't be happier that I chose to come here with my Grandmother for Easter. We'll be back, for sure. Thanks !
