Had a lovely dinner at this place with tasty food. The views of water is Amazing too. Pretty decent cocktails and lovely entrée. Service is a bit slow but nothing negative about it. Place is dimly lit which makes it a nice romantic restaurant. Prices are on higher side.

We picked this place since it was right on the water and looked quite popular. Which it must of been since we were informed that the wait would be over an hour! To be fair, it was prime dinner time (around 6ish) during Labor Day weekend. They said we could put our names down and they would text us when a table was ready so we ended up walking around town until we got the text. We had a great spot by the water. There weren’t any specials which I found a little strange since it seemed like the place to have a special seafood or steak dish. The menu wasn’t big and it didn’t feel very “Long Island” to me. Between the wait, the lack of specials, and underwhelming menu, I was not looking forward to our meals. We started with a bottle of wine, baked clams and burrata. When the food came, I realized that Wave might just prove me wrong. Both apps were great!!! The burrata especially. For dinner we got two flat iron steaks and salmon. The steaks were great and perfectly cooked. Not chewy at all. They didn’t come with a full side, they were just served with some onion strings, 3-4 small mushrooms, and 2 small roasted peppers. It was enough food but i still wish it came with a potato dish. I don’t eat seafood but my companions said the salmon was to die for. It was a big fillet and had a lot of cous cous and veggies. Well worth the money for dishes despite. We topped the meal off with a chocolate bundt cake, which, while small, was just enough to satisfy us. Overall, I was very surprised with Wave. My companions agreed that the food was worth the wait. I recommend putting your name down (or just making a reservation) then walking around town or the nearby park until your called. It’s really worth it!

The seafood was excellent, very fresh and tasty. We were a party of three and ordered appetizers and entrees. The shrimp cocktail and the fried calamari appetizers were absolutely perfect. The table ordered a lobster plate, lobster roll and fish+chips - again all perfect. *Gratuity is included on the bill. *The ladies bathroom was clean as well. *Tables outside are widely spaced and your party will be far from others. *The service was friendly and attentive.

I made a reservation for 7:30 for the same day I called and was pleasantly surprised that I got it. I told the person who answered that it was a very special day - our 25th anniversary, the Silver Anniversary - and we'd like their best table with a view. Again, I was very happy to get it. We arrived in Port Jefferson early and called them to see if we could get in earlier; they said no, they were booked up but come anyway and sit at the bar for a drink. We took a chance and came at 7:00 and again were happy to be seated at a table then. We picked this restaurant because their online menu had lobster and scallops entrees, which we love. After being seated and looking at their menu we discovered those dishes weren't listed nor available. We asked, they said they JUST changed to new menus 2 days ago and hadn't yet changed it on their website. We were really disappointed but OK, ordered other acceptable entrees. Our waitress was highly apologetic. Of course it wasn't her fault management failed to keep their site menu current. Our view was OK but due to blinds on the adjacent window it was somewhat obstructed. Our drinks and entrees came and we enjoyed the meal. The food was delicious, the service very good. But a neighboring table wanted the blinds to be completely CLOSED because the setting sun was in their eyes; the staff complied but so then we had NO VIEW. Again, disappointed. After clouds obscured the sun I asked for the blinds to be completely drawn up, which the server did and the unobstructed view was lovely. Too bad we had nearly finished our meal by then. But the food and service were so good and the full view FINALLY was open to us, we overlooked all our disappointments for our special dinner and left a nice generous tip. If the menu had been updated to show there was no lobster nor scallops we might not have gone to this restaurant for something special. So, 3.5-4 stars.

Our first encounter was the really cool waitress who set the mood. The lobster mac n cheese was so delish. Good wine, great food and live music right off the waters edge.

The perfect place to impress someone special on a day trip from Connecticut. Just a few feet from where the Port Jefferson ferry drops you off, the outdoor deck offers amazing views of the harbor while you listen to live music. Our server was attentive and very friendly. The BBQ shrimp appetizer was amazing. The Tidal Wave martini was fantastic and the lobster was cooked to perfection. We topped it off with a peanut butter brownie desert. It was an excellent, but admittedly expensive dining experience. Would definitely recommend.

Some of the fastest and most attentive service I have ever received. The food is exquisite, even to someone like me who is picky with seafood options. I hope to be back again (and to stay at the hotel!).

Great drinks and view. Love the palm trees and the port. Delicious chicken salad! Came back again and loved it. Cozy and comfortable with a nice modern coastal vibe. Amazing whiskey sours, made with egg whites! Hard to find that. Great charcuterie. Great flatbread. Friendly service. We will be back! #barsnobs

Food, service and ambience was excellent. Went for a group dinner from work. Everyone food was delicious. The seafood dinner was fresh and flavorful. We went on a cold dark night. I bet this place would make a great lunch destination too. We also shared the Crab Dip as a group, which again was very well done. I would definitely recommend anyone to try this place out. It is on the higher end but you could visit for a special occasion or celebration.

Just had a dinner for my birthday. Great service, wonderful atmosphere and lovely meals and drinks. It seems like the interior was redone - more modern. I had a seafood stew paired with Pinot Noir and really enjoyed it! Having a table with the harbor view surely helped. :)
