Review Prost German Restaurant - Port Deposit

This place was so good I went twice in the same week! I was in town for another event and a friend brought me here on Wednesday. I brought my partner again on Saturday. The schnitzel was fabulous, as was the spaetzle. The mushroom gravy was So Good. Try the baked brie appetizer! Their pretzels are also amazing, and their rolls are fresh and hot and delicious. My partner tried their roast pork shank and it was phenomenally tender and falling off the bone. So good!

We drove to Maryland from NJ for the express purpose of going to Prost to celebrate our anniversary. We were not sorry. Our server, Nancy, was amazing! Actually everyone was so delightful that even if the food was bad, Iā€™d still like it here. But - the food was delicious, too. Literally - everything was so good!!! We will definitely make the drive down again, and again!

If there were 10 stars, this restaurant gets it. I had such a wonderful experience. This place was amazing. This restaurant was recommended to my brother-in-law from a client. He was in town for the day, and we met him there. We were greeted at the front door, the host, gave us a little background story on the foods and then were seated. The greeter (whom I assume was the owner or manager) kindly informed us that they were "short staffed" & asked for our patience in being served. This evening, the restaurant has 1 greeter 1 server, 1 cook, 1 dessert person. A flow of customers began to come in the restaurant & although awed by the atmosphere, I thought we would be here all night. Boy was I wrong..this small but efficient staff awesome!!! They worked the floor like busy bees, despite the traffic of people coming in they were very attentive, one table had a group of at least 20 people. We did have a little wait for our food but O.M.G everything was amazing. We had the Salad platter, which was sampler of a variety of German salads, fresh, different & fun,. We also got the Rouladen-filled beef rolls, unbelievably delicious, so tender, such a unique taste. The Schweinshaxn-Pork shank ....heaven & also the Sauerbraten- sour beef.. too good for words. Compliments to the chef. It was also a nice change from typical restaurant dishes and the prices were very reasonable. The servings were good portions, we all had leftovers to take home which made me happy. I take my hat off to the staff that maintained a good flow of customer care despite the short in staff & the chef who did an excellent job in creating such a wonder experience in German dishes. This restaurant is a must do. I am so looking forward to coming again to try some other dishes.... by the way. Don't get me started on the selection of German beers...

We chanced upon Prost restaurant in Aberdeen. So pleasantly surprised! You must go here! Great selection of German beers on tap, 17! .5 or 1 liter options at great prices. We shared the Salad platter and the frankfurter plate. Honestly the best sauerkraut I've ever had. Delicious warm potato salad as well! Their large outside biergarten will open this spring too! Go and enjoy!

Went here with a group of four and had a very impressive dinner. I have to admit I was kind of skeptical with having been all around Germany, to having an authentic meal. The decoration were very German but it did kind of lose it's luster in a American style building making it kind of bland. BUT LET ME TELL YOU!!! Food was spot on. We ordered a Wurst Sampler for the table and a giant pretzel as appetizers. The Wurst Sampler was outstanding with perfect quality wursts that came with truly authentic potato salad and sauerkraut all of which ingredients are absolutely imported from Germany. For dinner our table had Sauerbraten (a marinated slow cooked beef roast), Jager Schnitzel (a flat, breaded piece of pork with a golden crisp, covered in a brown mushroom gravy), & a interesting take on Spatzle Mac and cheese (a German potato noodle). All of which was past impressive and even rivaled some of the high end restaurants I have been to in Germany. They also have a large selection of imported German beer and sell by half or whole liters. And of course I had to go with the Liter. In short I highly recommend this for a group gathering lunch or dinner. If you end up disappointed with the meal I wouldn't suggest visiting Germany.
