The ambiance is great and the view is terrific. The service was good. The hush puppies are some of the best I’ve ever had. The fried shrimp was great, as was the fried oysters. The fried scallops were spongy and the breading was overly wet. The fried flounder came with the skin on and had bones in it, making that inedible to me. The mud pie was good, although not a true mud pie. Would try again with a different order.

An awesome place to go and enjoy the food and view.
The restaurant has a beautiful view of the marina .
If you like seafood you have to stop there and ask for the seafood soup , fried shrimp , crab and An AMAZING 🥦 Broccoli (as a side).
The service is beyond of amazing.
They are super friendly and now everything of the menu.
That’s a place to go again and again.

Delicious! Classic bayside fare; we had clam strips, scallops, popcorn shrimp, shrimp tacos, the tuna bites, and fish n chips. Everything is reasonably priced and incredibly fresh. The kids' meal is $5 and came with probably 8 or 9 fried shrimp and tots, good sized for my 10-year-old. The building is butter yellow and can be seen clearly from the Poquoson River. There are plenty of open slips to park your boat for free and eat at the restaurant in early April. Summertime will likely be quite busy.

Came here with some friends while visiting. Service was good the food was delicious. Really good tuna bites on appetizers that I would recommend to everyone.

The best seafood I have ever had! It was so good. I ordered the fried seafood platter. The waiter was nice and patient with us. It was quiet inside and felt nice and cool and the view is fantastic! I loved it 😁. I hope to return one day and bring my girlfriend. Also the alcoholic drinks were really good. I love this place!

1st time here and it was a nice experiance. Busy place but of course it was a super nice day out....so expected. Bar service was great and the view is nice.

Great food. Super friendly staff. They were really busy when we got there so it took awhile to get seated. We waited quite awhile to get our food after we ordered. Seems like a great place to work. I hope they're able to fill their available positions soon. We will continue to go to Surf Rider just because of how welcoming they are and how great the hostesses and wait staff are....oh and of course the great food.

The hot crab dip is a must!!! Yummy goodness serverd with warm pita chips. Workers were very friendly, would definitely recommend.
