Mr. Sushi

Went here on a recommendation, it was alright not amazing. The interior is in bad shape with only a few seats available and the ones they have look heavily worn and ready to break. The sushi wasn't too bad, though perhaps a bit overpriced for the quality compared to other places I've gone. I will say the Tempura Udon I ordered was outstanding! The presentation and taste were both wonderful. The Kani Salad we ordered was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't. The imitation crab meat they used tastes like the ones you can get for cheap at Shoprite. Overall: This place was alright. They must be doing something right with how many people were coming in for takeout orders.

What the bell happened to Mr Sushi. I have been in town for 8 months. When I found this place it was amazing. Now it is totally sub-par. I waited 1hour and 52 minutes for my food and not only did they give me the wrong order (luckily the guy was still in my driveway when I realized it) but the food is awful. I got the Tempura Dragon roll and the avocado is brown and mushy. I also got the Mt Creek roll and it’s falling apart as I try to pick it up. It is supposed to have crunch on top and it’s also mushy. The last two times I ordered I was disappointed, but not like tonight. I’m never ordering from them again.

I would much rather make this review during a dine in as opposed to a take-out however, this simply could not wait. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. I ordered take out through chow now. I had the Kitchen Mango Chicken it came with rice, noodles, soup, salad, and it had real mango. I can’t wait to try Mr. Ramen Miss Korea and go back to Mr Sushi for dine in. I really recommend you try this place if you have not. Try all 3. I will be going back and taking a massive amount of photos in each place. I’d give them 6 stars if I could 😂

I used to love ordering sushi from here . However , overtime they continued making the sushi with less and less love. Or maybe a specific sushi chef. I ordered 2 Philadelphia rolls with avocado as I always do. If you know that your avocados are not ripe or anywhere near, don’t use it for the expensive sushi that your customer is about to purchase. It was honestly terrible and I was really looking forward to it and it actually ruined my night. No one wants to bite into rockhard sushi.Thank you for giving me good sushi in the past but this is my last straw.

Mr. Sushi has gone down hill. They definitely lack consistency. The service is poor - you have to ask twice for what you need. The quality of the food is lacking - doesn’t taste fresh and the presentation is sloppy. If you spend that much for sushi you expect it to taste and look appetizing. When my table explained our dissatisfaction they calculated our mostly uneaten plate for ten minutes before coming back with a subpar discount. We explained we hardly ate anything - my friend ate one roll in full but that was really it… plus wouldn’t we have to try it anyway to know it didn’t taste good? No manager came by, they just left it up to the two waitresses to apologize. I’ve been eating here for so many years but now I am never going back.

Whatever you do, don’t order delivery from this place if you want your food to arrive within the same lifetime. They’re one of the only sushi places in the area that delivers so every time I don’t feel like driving I’ll order Mr. Sushi, but for the last year or so, its about a 75% chance that I’ll be waiting 90+ minutes for my order to arrive. I’ve had it delivered to the wrong address before as well, and today I’ve had it apparently sit in the restaraunt for 2 hours until I called and then they finally said “oops we’ll send him right away”. As of me writing this review it’s been ANOTHER 45 mins since I called and still nothing. Unfortunately for me I prefer to avoid confrontation but good god I am also avoiding delivery from here ever again, and you should too.

Always at least a 90 minute wait for delivery. I’ve waited up to 2 hours. This was the last draw. If you order online they have your email. How about an update if you’re running late? No credit offered. Save yourself the frustration and order from Tokyo in haskell. You have to pick up there but it’s only 20 mins tops and Better quality sushi there anyway. I try to support local business but this one doesn’t care about their patrons. I’m a glutton for punishment. Tried ordering there again as no other sushi place “delivers”. Ordered at 6:24, email confirmation saying it will be delivered at 7:39. It’s 8:15 and still nothing. This place is poorly managed and they don’t care for their patrons. If you’re hungry, and don’t have 2 hrs to sit around , do yourself a favor and order elsewhere, anywhere.
