Nice dinner with typical dinner fare, multiple breakfast options, burgers, sandwiches, and homestyle dinner plates.
Service was very speedy even though they were pretty busy.
I had open faced today roast beef with mashed potatoes and veggies of the day. Generous portion of beef and the total was 17.00 with drink.
They also have a display case filled with great looking pie and cake. I need to save room for one next time!
Will go again.

This would be my 2nd time coming here. The food was just as good the 1st time, and the service was pretty good as well. Come hungry because the portions can be MASSIVE, but if you can't handle it, just bring it home like me and a few others did. Would love to come again!

Great diner atmosphere. Anna our waitress was great and recommended the corned beef hash which was very good. Also ordered an omelet and the home fries which I really liked. I highly recommend.

We are happy to see this Lester’s is open again in the evening. We have always had our best Lester’s experience at this location. Our server was Nicki and she was outstanding. She has a great personality and truly stayed on top of our order. She admitted she has only been with Lester’s for a few weeks, but she is an absolute asset. We ordered an eggs Benedict and a chicken salad club. I also had a cup of matzo ball soup. Everything came out hot and fresh and was prepared perfectly.

Nice casual diner that serves good breakfast! I enjoyed the 2-2-2 meal which was plenty for me. I recommend this with the sausage links! My husband got these and I loved them! The cappuccino was really good as well!

Fast, delicious, amazing staff. Fresh and tasty food. I haven’t had any of the amazing cake slices but the food was amazing.

Came in for a late breakfast / early lunch upon arrival in Fort Lauderdale. I thought the all-day breakfast menu would be bigger, but it was big enough to include all the major staples. The service was fast, our waitress was friendly and attentive - she did a great job. Elaine kept my coffee full and she is the reason I decided to go with 5 stars. Overall, the experience was better than 4 stars, but it wasn't a perfect five either. But the eggs were good, the 3 breakfast meats were very good, home fries tasted fresh and looked like actual potatoes and onions, and the pancakes were perfect. Very good breakfast food, hot coffee, and good service motivated me to round up to a five star.
My wife got the grape leaves appetizer which was fine, but that's not something I would typically order for myself. She also got the Cobb Salad, which was huge and came in a crispy bowl. All said and done our bill was $52, but the food was good and the portions were big.
As we were leaving, we noticed the bakery case with really impressive looking cakes. It would probably be wise on your next visit to save room for a slice.
Thanks for serving us today Elaine.

Had lunch at the one on Atlantic in Pompano. The service was great and the food was even better. I had the cheeseburger and even though it was cooked a little more than I asked it was juicy and flavorful. My friend had one of the specials, chicken stir fry and after I tasted it I almost sent my burger back it was that good. The vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection, not overdone and not undercooked. And the flavor was great! We work down the street from Lesters and plan on making it back at least once a month, other co-workers go there often also. Their prices are a little higher than other diners in the area but the food is definitely worth it. I had a salad from there a couple weeks ago and it was huge, I was able to get two large meals out of it. They have a very large selection on their menu plus daily specials. I'm looking forward to our next lunch there.

Terrible service. We were promptly seated and waited almost 10mins with anybody even acknowledging our presence. There was another family that was seated next to us and they were immediately acknowledged waitress taking their drink order and bringing them utensils. We're constantly going to the Lester's on SR84 in Fort Lauderdale and the one in Margate and have always Recv'd GREAT service. Unfortunately, we will NEVER visit this Lester's again. I'd rather go to McDonald's then this Lester's.

Dissapointed and disgusting.. I grew up at Lesters and tried the Pompano location. Beef brisket was cube steak, and tasted nasty, baked potato cold, pot roast tasted like BBQ sauce, mash potatoes instant and obnoxious waitres. Only thing good bread pudding. Will not go back.

Not worth the wait. We were looking forward to Lester's grand opening which took forever. Tried dinner first, plain boring Greek Chicken, and just ok Pastrami sandwich. Next up gave it a try for breakfast, breakfast can be had better and for less money just about anywhere. Finally tried lunch, which consisted of a mediocre Turkey club served with only a thimble size cup of cole slaw. In conclusion safe to say the parking lot won't be full for much longer.

Dont waste your money or time eating here.. Went for lunch me and worker. Worker had chicken salad which was mostly all dark meat and no flavor at all taste like boiled chicken in water and mayo YUCK!! He also had cup of chili which was not even warm and tasted like it was canned along with nasty cole slaw swimming in yes MAYO. I had burger and yes a Checkers burger would have been better (sadly) no flavor and even the lettuce and tomato tasted bad, fries were horrible also (why are fries all seasoned now?) Lastly the prices are much to high for what you are getting (subpar food). There are alot more places around to eat a decent meal. Bypass this so called Diner and eat somewhere else. The pastries looked good and they might be good since they are not made in house but we didn't try the deserts we just wanted to get out of there.

Very pleasant spotless interior with polished concrete floors and a screened-in outdoor patio waiting for landscape foliage to bloom and fill-in. Food and service is worth a visit! I'll come back.

Awful!!!!. Waited so long for them to open!! Finally went for dinner. What a waste of money and I stayed hungry because I couldn't even touch the horrible BBQ chicken plate they served. I did not cause a scene as I decided a review should be good enough! So disappointed !!!!!!

Owner and Management are horrible. Pompano Beach, FL... This location just opened and I have witness multiple of times the owner and the management team be very rude to customers and there employees. There is no respect. They scream at there staff for no reason and are rude to guest when they come in. I have seen the management playing on there phones when they should be interacting with there guest. If there staff are not aloud to use their phones on the floor either should the managers. All in all the food and the wait staff are good, but when your a guest in someone else place , you should be treated as such specially by the management and the owners.

Tiles of Pompano Inc.. We here at Tiles of Pompano waited until the Rush slowed down to enjoy breakfast at Lester's.
The food is awesome, the service is top notch, The restaurant is very clean with a great atmosphere.
Can't wait until tomorrow to enjoy it again.
Congrats on your New Diner.
Jill & Team.

Not good. Had breakfast. Pancakes were cold and undercooked. Flavor was okay but I could have made a better pancake from box mix from publix. Bacon was very undercooked and 90% fat. Just overall not great. Place is very nice inside and clean, but who cares if the food sucks. Service is good, but again the food is just okay. Nelson's Diner is cheaper and better but it's very small.

Very dissapointing. I loved going to the one on SR 84. This sure isn't the same.

I was thrilled to see them opening near my house in Pompano.. I tried it twice over the weekend. once for breakfast/lunch and once for dinner.

When they begin the service by apologizing for the poor service you're about to receive, that's not so good. I had a monte cristo. My wife ordered an omlette. They arrived about 5 minutes apart. The Monte Cristo was undercooked, and the only thing on a large white plate. No dipping sauce (traditionally served with this sandwich) and nothing else. I paid for a side of fries. They were obviously frozen and stuck together.

The omlete was just ok. Service was miserable

Dinner was the final nail in the coffin. Began with another apology. I had the special chicken fried steak, my wife ordered souvlaki. Again our meals arrived about 5 minutes apart. The steak was more like a shake and baked hamburger, and came with the same stuck together frozen fries.

Apparently Souvlaki is just unseasoned poorly cooked chicken on a stick.. also with fries, nothing else. Dinner was horribly slow. Our server was nice though.

The meal also seemed way overpriced for a diner.. Highly disappointing

Really disappointed. Horrible service
3 of us 2 ordered eggs, bacon, sausage, other person ordered tuna sandwich, simple right?
Took forever everything was ICE COLD, server said not her fault.

So great to have Lester's in Pompano. Perhaps the first 2 reviewers had unrealistic expectations of any restaurant in its first days after opening. I purposely didn't visit last Thursday when Lester's opened, assuming it would be chaotic. How could it not be? New servers. New kitchen staff. Hundreds of customers. I did visit on Friday and expected walking in that it would take longer than normal and that things might go wrong. Did my food take a bit to get to me? Of course it did. But it arrived hot, exactly as I ordered it, and was delivered by an attentive server. I have visited a few times since and all I can say is that, in a week's time, things are running a lot more smoothly. The kitchen staff is getting itself together. The servers are getting the hang of the Lester's routine. The owners are friendly, open, and attentive. They want customer feedback and literally seek it out, directly asking customers about quality of service and food, and making adjustments as each day goes by. They are also quite accommodating - I have dietary restrictions and they have bent over backwards to meet my needs.

I've lived in Pompano for 3 years now and prefer to dine at local eateries as opposed to chain restaurants for obvious reasons. Up to this point, I've found only 2 restaurants that I am willing to frequent and am quite pleased to add Lester's to my list for fresh, affordable, home-cooked fare. Give them a chance. You won't be disappointed. I already feel like I'm part of the Lester's family.

SUGGESTED DISHES:
Cream of chicken and rice soup - outrageously good!
Brisket - either the dinner or the open face sandwich
Chicken croquettes
BBQ chicken
Chicken salad
Rice pudding - fantastic - just the right amount of sweet!

Look like an magazine and food is amazing just like the other 3 Lester's. I am so glad to have Lester's diner at pompano beach. I already have been there many time and I have had only great experience . Flood is always consistent just like the other 3 locations and the diner looks like it came out of a magazine page . Impeccable . Love it

Worst service ever. Went in tonight for dinner with my family..we live up the street and have been awaiting it's opening.
My husband orders eggs Benedict with grits--not before the waitress rudely cut him off to tell him they only serve grits in the morning. Okay, no big deal. He asks for home fries and add a side of corn beef hash. The waitress, who was beyond rude, snapped and said "it doesn't work like that honey. You can get home fries or tater tots." Okay, I get that, but he said home fries and ADD a side of corn beef hash.
The food comes out and she slams my toddlers bubbling hot chicken tenders in front of him, which I had to grab quickly so they would cool off. My husbands eggs Benedict was terrible. The hollandaise sauce tasted spoiled and appeared as a wrinkly coating on the eggs.
Not ONCE did the rude waitress stop at the table to see if we needed anything. She walked by and asked "everything okay?" But kept walking and didn't stop to hear an answer. Definitely won't be back.

Lester's...Forget About It!. Pretty diner, felt like Jersey, 50s style. Clean because its new, but horrible service!
Waited 45 minutes only to be served three cups of coffee and NO BREAKFAST! No, no, but it gets better. All who arrived after us are eating and we're just sitting there! After complaining, No apologies just " Go, go, don't pay for the coffee," was the compensation we received. As a minority I can't help but to think are we still in the fifties? Ah! but discovered Michaels Café, Imperial Point small but "oh" what service and French style cooking ...amazing. Sorry Lester's first try last try! no thanks

Opening Day. Staff is cheerful, (excited), glad to be at work. Dining area is little generic, not as warm as the New York diners, but its a battle ship. it's built to serve, clean and serve again as efficiently as possible, quick turn. I'm not disappointed but I personally admire and gravitate towards any service establishment that meets their objective without compromising on the warm atmosphere; without the industrial feel.
The Food:
I am sure all the dishes are amazing, but here's my experience. My order: 2 eggs over med, home fries (well done), bagel toasted, side of tomato slices. The order was prepared and served within 7 minutes, not bad except,:
The eggs were over easy, bagel was burnt on top, not toasted through and through, it was like eating a bagel that was fresh, burnt and not toasted, the potatoes were fine, tasted good, but they weren't well done!!, anyway; over all it's a learning/growing curve for this new restaurant and ultimately folks just really loved cosmos. One last thing, the staff is trying hard and they definitely are working out the kinks, but the guy next to me (elderly man), orders his special Boston creme pie, and they brought him cake, he brought it to the attention of the waitress and she offered to take it back, but not before she politely argued with the customer, advising him this is the new pie, it was a slice of cake!!!!, and she went on to justify the wrong item by saying " Boston creme pie is made with cake, remember Customer is always right"

Lester’s Diner recently expanded their South Florida diner empire and opened a new location in Pompano Beach. They took over the old Cosmo’s Diner and gave property a total overhaul. The construction paid off as the space looks amazing and we found the service to be fast & friendly and we enjoyed the food as well. This location for Lester’s Diner is too new to be considered a greasy spoon diner. Not so for their other locations that need some freshening up. This new space in Pompano Beach is bright and shiny with a slightly more modern look. Red and white with some chrome is the look here and while it does look modern, it has a retro feel. There are some booth around the perimeter of the restaurant, but seating is mostly tables. While you will find counter seating here, it’s limited and looked full on our visit. There is also an outside screened-in patio that looked quite comfortable and we can imagine it fills up fast in the cooler months. This location is open 24/7 and you can of course get breakfast anytime. It was 8AM and our server dropped off the breakfast menus for us which is identical to the breakfast menu at he Lester’s Diner menu in Margate. You can read our review of the Margate location HERE . The place was very busy and our server was quick to greet us. She was very warm and friendly and got our drinks fast and took our orders. Our food flew out of the kitchen, maybe 10 minutes? Lester’s Ranch Style Breakfast ($5.69) – 2 eggs with 3 sausage links, potatoes, toast or biscuits & jelly. I ordered my eggs scrambled and they were fresh and cooked perfectly (not overcooked). The potatoes were diced home fries with onions and were seasoned well. The sausage looked a bit overcooked at first, but were actually really good. These were not the ‘brown and serve’ links either. These were the same ones my Mom used to make growing up and I love them almost as much as bacon. The biscuit was freshly made and on the large side. It would go perfectly wi

Lester's is finally open. Lester's food, horrendous service. Leave an extra 15 minutes to pay the check.
