Really enjoyed this unsuspecting cafe. Nestled in Polk City, Iowa, this local spot is the place to go for excellent sandwiches, soups and salads. They also have coffee and desserts. I really enjoyed the well-rounded options of this place! Would highly recommend!
The food is good and fresh it just seems to take a while. I have remedied this by calling ahead of time. The mood is clean and calming. Its nice to have a not fried and greasy (although I love these too) option in Polk City. Like I said your food might take a while but that is because they take time to prepare dishes.

Great Restaurant. I enjoy eating at this small town cafe. I have been here several time. I always get a smile and a good atmosphere. Foods good, coffee is excellent, and service is quick if they are not super busy or you get there during the lunch rush. I recommend this eatery if you just want a place to stop away from the metro.

Jim Oglesby. Polk City finally has a legitimate breakfast & lunch spot! The sparkling clean and spacious coffee house is located on the Square. Along with a great selection of coffees, Reising Sun serves pastries, soft drinks, smoothies, ice cream and made-from-scratch panini sandwiches, salads and soups. The open room is divided into dining and relaxation areas, and full leather couches and chairs invite you to stay a while. Well worth the visit; please help support this wonderful new restaurant!
