Quaint little store in the quaint little town of Polebridge. This place is known for their bear claws. We visit there when we vacation in Glacier. The drive is a little bumpy on the way there but it’s worth the drive at least once.
This place is a bit out of the way from most places in Glacier and you need to traverse some unpaved roads to get there. That being said it's definitely worth it. It's a beautiful bakery with some merchandise as well. I definitely recommend seeing it at least once. Make sure you try one of the famous huckleberry bear claws when you're there!
We stopped here on our way to Bowman Lake in Glacier National Park. I tried the huckleberry bear claw and jalapeño mango salsa bread, which were both amazing! Definitely a bit pricy and off the beaten path. While I do think stopping here is well worth your time, it might be tough on your car as it is only accessible via rocky and unpaved roads.
Awesome and quaint little country merchantile tucked into the woods. Fantastic pastries, good selection of drinks and teas, cool souvenirs. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Definitely a worth addition to your Glacier trip.
Huckleberry brownies and bear claws are out of this world and a taste of pure Montana. Do not miss.
Stopped by Polebridge Mercantile on our way to Bowman Lake in Glacier National Park. Grabbed a huckleberry bear claw and used the facilities. Overall, great store and bakery! They were diligently practicing social distancing. The store had lots of cute souvenirs along with practical items(personal care, items you may have forgotten while traveling). The bear claw was to die for. Staff were friendly, facilities weren’t fancy but clean and stocked. Line was a little long to purchase items but moved really quickly. Only thing is the prices are a little high but totally understandable for being in such a remote location. Logistics to run the store must be challenging. Definitely worth the drive!
Awesome in the middle of nowhere. Pastries are the best. Also, I left a travel mug with some sentimental value to me in the store and then flew home to FL. I contacted them and they sent it back no problem. Simply the best.
Funky mercantile and campground - cabins for rent and also tent sites. We had a fresh-out-of-the-oven huckleberry danish and a bear claw. We also had some of their sandwiches for a picnic lunch. There is also a cafe on site, but we didn't try that. They had a nice selection of beer in the mercantile also - sold by the can. Locally made crafts, t-shirts, etc.
Very cute spot in Glacier National Park that has a very tasty and full bakery. They do have some merchandise in their store and have outside seating area. The store has beautiful mountains behind it and is just an absolutely beautiful site
