Review La Rocca's Pizza & Pasta - Poland

Though I sometimes avoid Italian restaurants since they can be run-of-the-mill, when I stepped into here, the smells alone let me know that this place was authentic. It has a small (but cozy) dining area that fills up fast. I ordered the Linguine with Red Clam Sauce; this is a rare find not found on most Italian menus. I was thoroughly impressed and every single bite was blissfully flavorful. They feed you well with the portions and much of the food is all made in house. Their homemade Italian dressing is lovely. I recommend!

Their food is as close to your grandmothers pasta off the boat from Italy. The Cavatelli is my favorite. The only downside is that there isn’t much seating. Good idea to call ahead to see if there is a wait. But this is a must try place and when I’m in town visiting family, I always stop back!

Great service. Excellent food and good prices. We locked our keys in the car and they went out of their way to help us. Definitely coming back.

Delicious Italian food at a very reasonable price. Everything from the sauce, to the bread, to the pasta tastes homemade. Most entrees are between $10-$15, and the portions are massive. You'd be getting your money's worth at double the price. The decor is not fancy - you can be as comfortable here in blue jeans as you'd be in a suit, and the service is quick and efficient.

🌟Absolutely outstanding authentic 🇮🇹 Italian cuisine with delicious homemade spaghetti 🍝 and meatballs! Appetizer and entree choices were plentiful and prices are reasonable! Our server was very hospitable, friendly and efficient. Fortunately, we were able to meet the owner as she came out to the Dining Room to visit with her guests. I absolutely ❤ LaRocca's and will be returning to this slice of Italian 🇮🇹 heaven in the near future...Blessed be!

First time dining with this little hidden gem.. Excellent experience. Food was wonderful. Dining room was not super busy but 1 waiter handled it all and he was exceptional. He was running the entire time yet always courteous, patient and attentive to our needs and requests. If you have not tried them you are missing out. Best pepperoni rolls EVER hands down. It was obvious that everything was hand made with care and attention to all the details. I can't say enough, just try them!!

Food is good, and very large portions. Greens and beans are my favorite. My complaint is when ordering take out the portions are smaller for the same price. Sometimes good waitress other times not.

From Florida to Ohio, this is the best Italian Restaurant hands down! Authentic and reminds me of my mother’s sauce. Always have to argue with myself over whether to have braciola or cavatelli. Usually the braciola wins out and it’s fantastic. Plus very few restaurants even make it. You can’t go wrong and will not be disappointed. if you’re craving good Italian food this is the place to go!

Everything is always so good. The rolls are amazing.

I've lived in the youngstown area most of my life. McDonald raised, moved to Columbus, then back here to Poland. I've had my fair share of pizza. Today was my first visit here and I am so upset my wife who lived in and graduated from poland did not even tell me about this place. Didn't know it was here until we became swim club members. We got a pizza with sausage, peppers, onion, pepperoni, and a briar hill. They were both absolutely amazing and very well priced. We will definitely be returning customers and just might dine in next time. Staff was friendly as well. Whatever you're doing, keep the great service.

Food was amazing. Everything was hot and fresh. Will definitely be coming back. I guess the waiter we had was new and he did a great job. It was pretty busy but he kept coming back and checking on us and refilling our drinks. Very attentive. The menu is huge and they have a great selection of things. The eating area is small. I think they would do very well if they moved to a larger building with a larger seating area. Overall 5/5!!!

Hot peppers and sausage pizza was very good. Love the dough. Thought it tasted better an hour later

Always good food and service. We don't live close by, but everytime we're in Poland or Youngstown area we make sure to visit. Never disappointed. Wish they had a place closer to Canton!

My husband and I stopped in for dinner and our waiter, Andrew was quick to bring our menu, drinks, bread and salad. He took our orders and brought out our dinners in short time. He stopped by our table frequently to see if we needed anything else. It was so refreshing to see a young man working so hard! And, of course, the food was delicious! We will definitely go back for the wonderful food and service!

It's a great place with darn good food. I love all their pastas , and the option to have homemade wheat pasta exists nowhere else. Youngstown is full of super opinionated Italian food seekers. But this place always delivers in my opinion.

This place is the spot for homemade pasta and pizza. It's a family friendly atmosphere with an authentic Italian feel. Prices are comparable to other local Italian restaurants. Service was fast and friendly.

I am ashamed that until last night I supported and would proudly promote this restaurant, my husband and I frequent this restaurant often and due to a Medical Issue I always ask for no red sauce on anything I order. Last night I ordered the veal Parm dinner no red sauce and just some butter on my noodles. When I received my meal it was covered in red sauce so I called La Roccas with the intentions to simply ask for a replacement, mistakes happen, it’s a busy restaurant no big deal. But I was treated in the most disrespectful way. I was told that I was WRONG, that I ordered a veal parm dinner (which comes with a side of spaghetti, small salad, and roll) with no red sauce and that saying no sauce does not, in fact, make that a veal parm. That what I should have said is that I want a piece of veal with cheese added, a side of spaghetti, small salad, and a roll. A new lady came onto the phone and since there was no introduction I tried to explain my story again. Her response was yeah, ok, what do you want me to do about it? After going back and forth about how I was the one who was wrong and she was, in fact, correct. I felt at best I had been belittled and embarrassed since I could hear employees in the background laughing at me and making fun of me. I asked if there was a manager or supervisor around and to my surprise, she responds with that’s me, I’m the owner, now do you want a credit for your next meal or what? I said I do not want a credit as we will never eat there again, but at this point in our conversation I would like a refund (I was going to say in exchange for her food back) but she rudely interrupted me and said well, that’s not going to happen. No, you’re not getting a refund. What else do you want? I guess I had no choice but to ask as instructed a piece of veal with cheese. I was then asked when I would pick it up…. Clearly, I want this delivered since I got it delivered, to begin with she said fine if he has to make another delivery or has the time he’ll get this out to you. The most amazing delivery man ever (thank you to whoever is the delivery man with the beard, you sir are kind) he did deliver in a very timely manner; unfortunately, it was what seemed to be a childish “I win” statement. My replacement meal was just 2 pieces of gray, floppy, Luke warm meat with cheese not even fully melted. My heart breaks that there is a business owner out there that can treat another human being like trash. I was in tears and shaking from embarrassment, Frustration, and pure rage. I’m sure there is a huge fan base since overall the food is good and this could possibly be a very delightful woman but if I did, in fact, speak to the owner and she chose to treat a customer in this fashion then I truly feel sad for someone that bitter.

Pretty good restaurant, has been around for a long time. Good for pizza and Roni roll takeout. Their entrees are a bit pricey if you ask me. I'd rather go elsewhere for the money. Cool little old school Italian restaurant nestled in Poland.

Best Italian restaurant in Youngstown. I go to LaRocca's all time when I want an Italian meal. The food is absolutely amazing, the staff is extremely nice and the atmosphere is as if I were eating a Sunday dinner with my family. I have not had one bad meal on the menu, and may I add the pizzas and bread are to die for. Even though it's not on the menu, one of the waitress's suggested the tomato basil pizza - probably one of the best pizza's I've ever had! I highly suggest to anyone to visit this restaurant whenever they are in the mood for a nice italian meal.

Laroccas is great!. Every time I go to Laroccas to eat I feel like I'm eating at my own home, very quaint and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and professional. Food is consistently good also!

Best authentic italian food ever...... I recently discovered LaRocca's and it is amazing. The atmosphere is lovely the employees are kind and considerate. Not to mention the food is to die for. After talking with the waitress I learned that practically everything is homemade including the sauce, the pizza dough, the bread, the braciola and even the pasta. I had the eggplant parm and it was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Bad Food even worse service. Went to Larocco's after a referral while visiting family during the holiday in Poland Ohio. Had heard prior great place to eat. Well. Worst restaurant experience in 59 years. Ordered Bracoile I was told when asked what was the speciality of the house so I ordered. Came cold, sauce tasted like it came right out of the can. Could not find the proscuitto or cheese that was supposed to be inside. Cut it open and it was all black inside. Food looked like it was over a week old and had been microwaved then sauce thrown on top. Not even any parm dressing. Called waitress over who took the complaint very personal, asked if I wanted anything else. At that point lost appetite. Others in our party of 7 had cold food as well. Waitress then proceed to stand at the wait station and talk about me as I sat nearby listening. Had to say hello I can hear you. Asked for Manager was told none on site. A little later a young man who I was told closest to a manager as I could have at that time. Asked if I wanted anything else. Ordered a personal pizza which I was assured I would get as quickly so I could enjoy a meal with my party. 30 minutes later no pizza. Waitress finally showed with the check and cold pizza as we were leaving saying it was on them (nerve). By the way at that point I was afraid to eat. Did not look like anything other than a frozen pizza you get at a gas station. As I am out the door the owner finally showed up said she was sorry. Please save yourself some aggravation.

Worst experience ever. Cold food, can sauce, rude waitress,bad service, don't even serve real butter with Italian bread. Went after referral and seeing Casey sow on tv. Food served cold. Waitress gave a dirty look when I said I did not want anything else. She then proceeded to tell the other waitresses about me so loudly I could hear. Do yourself a favor stay away.
